1970 Texas Longhorns (Number 76)
In 1970, the Longhorns were 10-0 heading into the Cotton Bowl for a matchup with the number six ranked Notre Dame fighting Irish. Despite the loss 24-11 on that day, the Longhorns were named the Coaches Poll National Championship. That year 12 players from the team were selected in the NFL Draft. Bobby Wuensch, Steve Worster and Bill Atessis were all named Consensus All-American.
