It’s still fairly early for the 2025 recruiting cycle, but it appears Texas is taking the quality over quantity approach for the time being.
The Longhorns only hold four commits in the 2025 class at this time. The class is led by four-star defensive lineman Lance Jackson and includes four-star tight end Emaree Winston and four-star quarterback KJ Lacey.
In regards to 247Sports’ 2025 recruiting class rankings, Texas holds the No. 26 class in the country. Many of the classes ranked ahead of the Longhorns hold more than double the amount of commits.
