Tymon Mitchell, defensive lineman (No. 91):

Class: Redshirt freshman

Height: 6-3

Weight: 315 pounds

Hometown: Nashville, Tennessee

High School: Franklin Road Academy

Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Tymon Mitchell was rated as a three-star prospect coming out of Franklin Road Academy. Mitchell played against both Murray State and Arkansas State last season. He recorded four total tackles and was able to redshirt.

Mitchell will have to battle some talented players to see increased playing time along Georgia’s top-rated defense. The former three-star prospect is capable of stepping up next season or in the future. UGA will have incredible depth in the front seven next season.

He and Tramel Walthour won the award for the defensive scout team players of the year last season. Mitchell additionally wrestled in combination with playing football in high school.

FRA teammate’s Lance Wilhoite, left, and Tymon Mitchell pose for a picture in the Tennessean’s photo booth on Wednesday on the first day of the early signing period. Wilhoite signed with Oregon while Mitchell is going to Georgia.
