The Georgia Bulldogs secured a commitment from one of the elite cornerback prospects in the class of 2021 in Nyland Green. The four-star recruit plays both wide receiver and defensive back for Newton High School in Covington, Georgia.
Nyland Green chose to stay home in Georgia over other nearby schools like Clemson, Auburn, and Tennessee.
Nyland Green is ranked as the nation’s No. 69 overall player and the No. 5 ranked cornerback in his class. He’s a big addition to the University of Georgia’s recruiting class and will help fortify Georgia’s secondary for the future.
Green’s got elite length at six-foot-two and weighs 183 pounds. Green utilizes his wide receiver ball-skills on defense and has solid speed. The Covington, Georgia, product will look to follow in the footsteps of Georgia defensive back Eric Stokes. Stokes hails from Covington as well, but attended Eastside High School. Stokes is Georgia’s top cornerback and is expected to be a high NFL Draft selection.
Nyland Green announced his commitment via his Twitter account. We highly recommend watching his commitment video. Congratulations to Green and we wish him the best.
