Top five running backs Texas will face in 2020

To truly be considered an elite offense in the Big 12, you also need a great ground game. Here are the top five RBs Texas will face in 2020:

No. 3 – Pooka Williams

School: Kansas

Classification: Junior

Career vs Texas: 41 carries for 293 yards, three touchdowns (Two games)

Kansas’ do it all man Pooka Williams is one of the most electrifying players in college football. Having back to back 1,000-yard seasons in his freshman and sophomore year, Williams’ reported 4.3 speed is unmatched in the Big 12.

One thing that did not transition well into Williams’ sophomore year was his scoring production. After seven rushing touchdowns in 2018, the speedster only managed three in 2019. Two of them happened to be against Texas while he also added on 190 yards.

The Longhorns have struggled to contain Williams in their two matchups. While the rest of the Kansas offense may not be anything to worry about, No. 1 should have all eyes on him every play.
