Top five running backs Texas will face in 2020

To truly be considered an elite offense in the Big 12, you also need a great ground game. Here are the top five RBs Texas will face in 2020:

No. 1 – Chuba Hubbard

School: Oklahoma State

Classification: Redshirt Junior

Career vs Texas: 46 carries for 201 yards, two touchdowns (Two games)

The best player out of Oklahoma State’s offensive three-headed monster returns after leading the country in rushing yards last season with 2,094. Hubbard ran for 100 yards or more in 12 of 13 games in 2019, coming short against McNeese State.

Hubbard had an incredible 37 carries against Texas last season, resulting in 121 yards and two touchdowns. While his 3.3 yards per carry may not be the best, he also averaged more than 10 yards per carry against Kansas State and TCU.

If Hubbard can rush for 2,000 yards again this season, he will join Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor and Iowa State’s Troy Davis as the only players to do so in college football. Arguably the best running back in the country, Hubbard may once again put the Cowboys on his back.
