No. 4 – Breece Hall
School: Iowa State
Classification: Sophomore
Career vs Texas: 24 carries for 101 yards (One game)
Coming out of high school, Breece Hall was the best player in the state of Kansas according to 247Sports. He backed that evaluation up by rushing for 897 yards, fifth in the Big 12. Only the three remaining players on this list and Jalen Hurts had more.
With quarterback Brock Purdy under center, Iowa State is a pass-first offense. When called upon to run the ball though, Hall was as consistent as anyone in the Big 12. Not getting significant carries until the fifth game of the season against West Virginia, Hall exploded for 100+ yards in four of the final eight games.
Only a sophomore, Hall can only go up from this point on. Especially with a full season worth of carries in 2020, Hall could be a breakout star on the national stage for the Cyclones.
