Top five quarterbacks Texas will face in 2020

Even with an improved defense, UT is going to have some challenges with these talented QBs. Here are the top five QBs UT will face in 2020:

No. 1 – Brock Purdy

School: Iowa State

Classification: Junior

Career vs Texas: 40 of 91, 484 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions (Two games)

Brock Purdy busted onto the scene as a true freshman, helping the Cyclones achieve the second consecutive winning season, something that had not happened since 2005. After major improvements in his sophomore year, Purdy is arguably the best returning quarterback in the Big 12 next season.

Nearly throwing for 4,000 yards last season, Purdy came up 18 yards short. Leading the conference in the category, was second in completion percentage, and third in touchdowns thrown.

Purdy played well against Texas in Ames last season, throwing for 352 yards and two touchdowns. Coming to play in Austin for the second time in his career, Iowa State struggled on offense in 2018, gaining 210 yards. To get a road win, Purdy must step up again.
