Top five quarterbacks Texas will face in 2020

Even with an improved defense, UT is going to have some challenges with these talented QBs. Here are the top five QBs UT will face in 2020:

No. 5 – Alan Bowman

School: Texas Tech

Classification: Redshirt Sophomore

Career vs Texas: Never played

Bowman has shown a ton of promise in his 11 career games for Texas Tech. His ability to remain healthy has become an issue for the Red Raiders though, with him playing in three games last season and eight games in 2018.

When on the field, Bowman has proven his ability, even at a young age. He has completed 68.2% of his passes while throwing for 3,658 yards and 23 touchdowns. If you took his 11 career games and translated it to one season, his passing yards would have ranked fourth in the Big 12 last season.

Texas will (hopefully) get their first look at Bowman this season in Lubbock. Scheduled to play on October 24, the former Grapevine High School star will have to make it through six games this season in order to face off against the Longhorns.
