Three takeaways from Texas’ win against Baylor

After two consecutive defeats to TCU and Oklahoma, Texas finally got back to winning against Baylor. Here are three takeaways from the win.

Bijan Robinson getting consistent carries

For the first time in his career, Bijan Robinson got a significant amount of carries for the Longhorns. The true freshman not only got snaps but he also performed better than he has all season. Robinson finished with 12 carries for 55 yards to average 4.6 yards per carry.

Keaontay Ingram split carries with Robinson while second-string Roschon Johnson was still dealing with a shoulder injury suffered during the Red River Shootout. It took some time for the former five-star to get going but could hit his stride during Texas’ stretch run.

Going into Oklahoma State, getting good production on the ground will be important. While the Cowboys’ defense is only giving up 127 rushing yards per game, Iowa State running back Breece Hall was able to go for 185 yards and a touchdown. If Robinson gets 12 or more carries on Saturday, he could have a breakout game.
