We’re still roughly two months away from the 2024 NFL draft, but it’s never too early for some to begin looking at prospects for next year.
The Longhorns will be well-represented in the 2024 NFL draft. However, Texas could surprisingly have more first-round picks in 2025.
WalterFootball’s Charlie Campbell is one of the first to release a 2025 NFL mock draft. Texas had three players projected within the first 16 overall picks.
Texas left tackle Kelvin Banks was the first Longhorn off the board at No. 10 to the Atlanta Falcons. This should come as no surprise as Banks has had an All-America collegiate career up to this point.
Just behind Banks is Texas defensive end Ethan Burke at No. 11 to the Washington Commanders. Burke could be the surprise draft prospect for the Longhorns if he continues to improve this season.
Quarterback Quinn Ewers is projected No. 16 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ewers could be the long-term starter to replace Baker Mayfield in Tampa Bay, but with another impressive season under his belt, Ewers could rise into the top-10.
