LSU women’s basketball climbs into top 10 of USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll after four straight wins

After winning their last four games, the Tigers are back in the top 10 of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

While the Tigers are holding firm at No. 13 in the latest AP Top 25, the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll remains significantly higher on coach Kim Mulkey’s team.

LSU women’s basketball sat at No. 11 during its bye week, and after knocking off the rust with a convincing 81-58 road win against Texas A&M that gave it its fourth straight win, it’s climbing back into the top 10 after moving up one spot in this week’s poll.

The top five remained unchanged from last week, but there was some shakeup elsewhere. The Tigers moved up thanks to the fact that they managed to jump both Colorado and UCLA this week.

LSU will return to the court on Thursday night when it hosts an Auburn team that boasts a win over Mulkey’s squad on its home court. The Tigers will look to avenge that loss and move to 10-3 in SEC play.
