Texas RB Bijan Robinson trending in right direction to play vs. TCU

It was reported on Friday by Anwar Richardson that Texas running back Bijan Robinson was able to practice on Thursday.

The margin of error for Big 12 football this season is miniscule.

We’ve witnessed Kansas State drop their first game of the season, then turn around and shockingly defeat the No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners. Texas narrowly got out of Texas Tech with an overtime victory and there’s an endless amount of questions surrounding several other programs.

In summary, anything can happen. That’s why you need your top players available for every matchup. Fortunately for Texas, it was reported on Friday that running back Bijan Robinson was able to practice on Thursday.

Robinson had an awkward, scary landing against the Red Raiders after trying to hurdle a defender. He landed on his neck and back but was able to miraculously walk off the field under his own power.

This is a great sign that Robinson could be available for the Longhorns when they face the Horned Frogs in Austin on Oct. 3. The three-headed monster in the backfield with Keontay Ingram, Roschon Johnson and Bijan Robinson appear to be working out in Texas’ favor as they’re consistently able to get fresh legs on the field.

For the first time this season, starting slot receiver Jake Smith is also expected to play on Saturday.
