Texas offers three-star safety from Virginia in 2021 class

Head coach Tom Herman and Co. recently offered a highly sought after safety from Virginia in the 2021 recruiting class.

This is an interesting target for the Longhorns that they must get involved with quickly.

Texas offered three-star safety Bryce Steele on Saturday. The Alexandria, Virginia native is a 2021 prospect that has received offers from respected programs such as Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and North Carolina.

Steele intends to announce his commitment on April 16th, but the Tar Heels are above and beyond the favorite to land the 6’1″, 207-pound playmaker at the moment.

However, Steele expressed on Twitter that Texas is his ‘dream school’ shortly after receiving the Longhorns offer. With the outbreak of COVID-19 hindering the usual recruiting tactics, Texas must find a creative way to pursue Steele quickly.

According to 247 Sports, Steele has the ability to play safety or develop into a linebacker at the next level. He is currently listed at the No. 9 athlete in the state of Virginia.
