Alan Bowman is playing his first game against Texas
Despite being in Lubbock for a third season, Alan Bowman will be facing off against Texas for the first time in his career. Dealing with injuries as a freshman and sophomore, Bowman has only played in 12 games.
In 2018, Bowman’s injury was suffered against Oklahoma the week before the Longhorns traveled to Lubbock. The now redshirt sophomore did not play a snap in Big 12 conference play last season.
His replacement, Jett Duffey, did just fine against Texas, averaging 421.5 passing yards with four touchdowns and one interception over two games. With Bowman back in the mix, the Red Raiders’ offense could have even more success.
