Alfred Collins – DL
He doesn’t look like your typical true freshman. Defensive end is going to be an important position for Texas’ defense and there would be nothing more beneficial than for a young star to emerge. Alfred Collins was the Longhorns’ third-ranked recruit and a five-star prospect according to 247Sports. He’s expected to fight for playing time immediately.
After enrolling during the summer, Collins has already shown in practice that he is going to be the real deal. Listed at 6-foot-5, the true freshman has put on a good amount of muscle since being on campus and it’s quickly caught the eye of Tom Herman.
Ta’Quon Graham and Marquez Bimmage will probably have something to say about Collins becoming a regular player. However, if Collins continues to mold into his build, he is going to be terrorizing offensive tackles for three to four years.
