Texas Football Recruiting: Five 2021 prospects the Longhorns need to push for next

Despite the recent success, the 2021 class has still not been good enough from Herman. Here are five recruits Texas should push for next:

Remington Strickland

Rating: Three-star, 0.8734

Position: Offensive line

Hometown: Sugar Land, Texas

Analysis: A recent offer for Texas, Strickland has been surging recently. Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech have joined the Longhorns in offering the offensive lineman since Oct. 10.

Ever since losing the Brockermeyer brothers to Alabama, offensive line coach Herb Hand has been scrambling for replacements. Strickland would be an excellent suitor and has the potential to move anywhere across the offensive line.

On the 247Sports crystal ball, Oklahoma is the only school to have a prediction inserted for them. With all of the recent eyeballs on Strickland, there is no knowledge of when a decision will come. If he picks Texas, the offensive line depth would make a significant improvement.
