Analysis: At one point, it seemed as if Texas was in the running for Johnson and five-star running back Camar Wheaton. After the latter excluded the Longhorns from his top three, all focus has been on landing the No. 4 running back in the country.
It is going to come down to another Texas vs Texas A&M recruiting battle. Both teams have had leads at a different point and both head coaches are desperate to land Johnson.
With Jonathan Brooks already committed for the Longhorns, Johnson would just boost the running back room even more. Not to get too ahead but a running back room of Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson, L.J. Johnson, and Brooks would be something incredibly special.
