Texas Football Magazine names eight Longhorns to All-Texas team

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine names eight Longhorns to their All-Texas college team with five on the first team.

First Team Kicker: Cameron Dicker

Dicker the kicker finds himself as the best place kicker in the state of Texas. He had an impressive freshman season nailing 72 percent of his field goal attempts but none bigger than the game-winner against Oklahoma in the 2018 Red River Shootout. Dicker converted 98.1 percent of his extra points.

As a sophomore, Dicker improved his accuracy on field goal attempts with 77.8 percent conversions. He missed four of 18 attempts as compared to the seven misses his freshman season. He also converted 98.2 percent of his extra point attempts.

He was named to the preseason second team All-Big 12 by Phil Steele. He was added to the Lou Groza watchlist prior to 2019 and will likely find himself there once again.
