Joseph Ossai is a disruptive force

Joseph Ossai is still looking for his first sack of the season. In the Alamo Bowl he won Defensive MVP for his three-sack game. Moving over to the Jack, a lot more was expected for the junior pass rusher. So far in 2020 it just hasn’t been there. Will this offensive help spark his impact on the defense?

With how the TCU offensive line performed against Iowa State, it would be easy to think that Ossai can take advantage. Left tackle Austin Myers had a terrible game in his debut as the blindside protector of the TCU quarterbacks. He gave up six pressures, including three sacks according to PFF. Ossai against Myers is the marquee matchup to watch.

If Duggan is indeed the starter for TCU, then having Ossai out on the edge will be important. He is the more mobile quarterback option for TCU. Ossai should be a factor with setting the edge for this defense and forcing the quarterback inside for Alfred Collins, Keondre Coburn and company.
