Secondary plays better coverage

Longhorns did a good job against Texas Tech with three interceptions forced. Caden Sterns intercepted his first pass since his freshman year. Chris Brown and Chris Adimora had the other two in this game. However, they need better coverage against TCU.

With an expected better pass rush against TCU, the secondary will likely benefit from it. Last week the Longhorns gave up height to Tech’s top receivers, but they have to find a way to win those battles. TCU threw four touchdown passes against ISU. So it doesn’t look like it gets that much easier this week.

While Texas gave up more than 50% of targets to be caught, one should expect bigger games from these corners. Much like the tackling, the secondary was likely embarrassed and looking to limit some big plays in the air. Plus TCU will likely give them opportunities to snagged the ball out of the air.
