Texas’ Christian Jones, T’Vondre Sweat receive rave reviews from Senior Bowl

Offensive lineman Christian Jones and defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat improved their draft stock at the Senior Bowl.

Texas offensive tackle Christian Jones and defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat improved their draft stock significantly at the Senior Bowl over the last week.

Bleacher Report recently tabbed Jones and Sweat two of the biggest “winners” of the Senior Bowl due to their impressive play.

“Christian Jones may have been the most surprising,” the Bleacher Report scouting department stated. “His pass sets were mostly consistent. Jones used his length (34⅞-inch arms) and size (6’5″, 318 lbs) to shut down most of his opponents. He had one of the most impressive performances as a result.”

Sweat is an NFL draft prospect that many expected to shine throughout Senior Bowl practices. “He mauled opponents with his size and strength and even flashed a few pass-rush moves,” the report stated.

Texas should be well represented in the 2024 NFL draft. Over a handful of Longhorns are projected to be selected within the first three rounds, with players like Jones and wide receiver Jordan Whittington a solid bet to be taken off the board on Day 3.
