Broncos post highlight video of players working out

Broncos players have put in a lot of work this offseason!

The Broncos were not able to have official on-field workouts this spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many players worked out on their own time, though, and they shared clips of their work on social media.

Denver made a highlight video from those player workouts:

That should get fans pretty excited for the 2020 season!

Broncos rookies are set to report for training camp in one week from today and veterans are scheduled to report in two weeks.

Watch: Alvin Kamara adds a new element to his offseason training

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has again gone viral for his offseason training, but his latest workout might set the standard.

New Orleans Saints superstar running back Alvin Kamara hit the ground at a sprint when he made his NFL debut, and that’s largely been due to the intense training he puts in during the offseason to hone his talents. It’s not for nothing that the 24-year old three-time Pro Bowler already ties for sixth-best in Saints history for career touchdown carries (27), using his unique ability to maintain his balance when tackled by opponents and rack up the points.

Kamara’s trainer is Dr. Sharif Tabbah of Miami-based Athletix Rehab and Recovery, a kinesiologist specializing in working with professional athletes. He’s teamed up with Kamara before, as well as his Saints teammates like Kiko Alonso and Ted Ginn Jr., and other players from around the NFL.

Tabbah’s last workout for Kamara went viral, in which he tasked the Saints running back with catching different-colored batons in midair while balancing on an unstable platform. This summer, though, Tabbah added a new variable by including tennis balls. See it for yourself:

Hopefully this intense training will pay off with a bounce-back year for Kamara. He struggled with a series of lower-leg injuries during the 2019 season, and his stats suffered for it. Maybe his reunion with Tabbah will get him back on the right track.

Broncos TE Noah Fant posts video showing workout with Drew Lock

Broncos tight end Noah Fant has been running routes for quarterback Drew Lock in Denver.

Just a sneak peek.

A post shared by Noah Fant (@nrfant) on

Because of COVID-19, the Broncos did not have any on-field organized team activities or minicamp practice sessions this year. Lock helped teammates make up for the missed work by organizing unofficial practices in the Denver area this offseason.

It looks like Fant was able to attend a few of the passing sessions.

After being selected by the Broncos with the 20th overall pick in last year’s draft, Fant went on to lead rookie tight ends in catches (40), receiving yards (562) and yards per catch (14.0) last season. He’ll look to build on those numbers as Denver’s clear No. 1 tight end this season.

WATCH: Najee Harris shows off speed by racing drone

Alabama running back Najee Harris shows off his speed and offseason training by posting a video of himself racing against a drone.

Alabama running back Najee Harris has been quite active this offseason in preparation for the 2020 college football season. He has posted numerous videos to social media, and even announced a new Youtube series he’s created to show off his training and conditioning.

Training during this offseason has been difficult for athletes from various sports, at all levels, due to the Coronavirus pandemic closing down facilities all across the country.

Harris’ most recent video, posted to Twitter by Q6 Media, shows him racing a drone, and winning.

Another video shows him sprinting on a treadmill and working on his speed.

Harris has a big senior year ahead of him, he is highly regarded as one of the top running backs in the 2021 NFL draft class, and currently has the highest odds within the SEC to be the 2020 Heisman Trophy recipient.

He looks to build upon a 2019 season that saw 209 carries for 1,24 yards and 13 touchdowns. As well as 27 receptions for 304 yards and seven touchdowns.

Roll Tide Wire will keep you updated on Najee Harris and the rest of the 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide team as the start of the 2020 season gets closer.

LOOK: Broncos players are practicing in Denver

Here are photos of Broncos quarterback Drew Lock practicing with teammates in the Denver area.

Broncos quarterback Drew Lock and several teammates held an unofficial practice in the Denver area on Tuesday. Lemar Griffin, a local photographer, posted a GIF on Twitter of Lock throwing a pass to running back Phillip Lindsay during the workout session.

Griffin also shared some photos of tight end Noah Fant catching passes from Lock.

On his Instagram page, @lemargriffinfilms, Griffin shared several more photos — including shots of defensive lineman Shelby Harris and outside linebacker Justin Hollins attending the voluntary practice.

NFL teams are not allowed to hold official practices with coaches at this time of year but players are allowed to workout on a voluntary basis. The NFL Players Association did advise against unofficial practices because of COVID-19 but that hasn’t stopped players from working out together.

Lock previously organized practices with teammates at a local park. Tuesday’s session appears to have taken place at a local high school.

Jerry Jeudy recently ran routes for Dwayne Haskins in Florida

Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy recently ran routes for Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins in Florida.

Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been training in Florida with free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown and former NFL receiver Terrell Owens. Denver Broncos rookie Jerry Jeudy joined them for one of their recent throwing sessions.

Var Turner, Haskins’ personal photographer, posted a video of Jeudy catching a pass from the quarterback on his Instagram story last weekend. Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic recorded the video and posted it on Twitter:

Haskins slightly underthrew Jeudy in the above video but he hit him in stride in another video posted by Turner.

Two weeks ago, the NFLPA advised against voluntary workouts because of the potential spread of COVID-19. That didn’t stop Emmanuel Sanders from running routes for New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees in Denver.

The NFLPA’s suggestion also hasn’t stopped Tom Brady from practicing with Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates in Florida or Russell Wilson from working with Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf in Washington.

It’s unclear if Drew Lock stopped his unofficial practices with Broncos teammates. Players are scheduled to report for training camp in late July.

WATCH: Broncos CB Bryce Callahan looks healthy in workout video

Broncos cornerback Bryce Callahan appears to have recovered from last season’s foot injury.

Denver Broncos cornerback Bryce Callahan appears to have recovered from the foot injury that prevented him from playing last season.

In a recent interview with The Houston Chronicle‘s Aaron Wilson, Callahan said he has “never been more excited to get back out on the football field.”

“Coming off of last year, it was a big disappointment,” Callahan said (subscription required for link). “I don’t want to say I’ve got something to prove, but I’ve got something to prove to myself . . . . I’m ready to get back out there. I’m full-go with no limitations. I’m not really even thinking about my foot. Everything is moving in the right direction. I just want to play all 16 games, stay healthy and ball out.”

After totaling 39 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions and six pass breakups with the Chicago Bears in 2018, Callahan signed a three-year, $21 million contract with Denver last spring. Complications from foot surgery forced him to sit out the 2019 season. Now healthy again, Callahan is poised to serve as one of the Broncos’ top three cornerbacks in 2020.

Broncos WR KJ Hamler shows off speed in training video

Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler showed off his blazing speed in a workout video posted on Twitter.

Former Penn State wide receiver KJ Hamler did not run a 40-yard dash at the NFL combine because he was recovering from a minor injury. Had he run a 40-yard dash, Hamler probably would have posted one of the top times among wide receivers in this year’s class.

During a recent speed workout with trainer Antoine Mason, Hamler showed off his blazing speed:

Hamler was selected by the Broncos in the second round of this year’s draft and he is expected to serve as the team’s No. 3 receiver behind Pro Bowler Courtland Sutton and second-round draft pick Jerry Jeudy.

With his blazing speed, Hamler should prove to be a dynamic slot WR.

Falcons cornerback Josh Hawkins most recently played in the XFL, but the former undrafted free agent previously spent time with the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Falcons cornerback Josh Hawkins most recently played in the XFL, but the former undrafted free agent previously spent time with the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Atlanta’s young secondary could benefit from Hawkins’ veteran presence and the 27-year-old should see a decent amount of time in the slot this year. Fans might not be familiar with Hawkins, but that’s what social media is for.

Check out the new Falcons cornerback’s impressive speed as he runs drills in the below workout video:

Broncos QB Drew Lock is training in Denver area

Broncos quarterback Drew Lock has been training in the Denver area.

Broncos quarterback Drew Lock is back in the Denver area and he recently got together with teammates for some passing sessions with a few wide receivers. As The Athletic‘s Nicki Jhabvala pointed out on Twitter, it appears that Lock is also doing some conditioning training.

Lock is training with Augustine Agyei and Nate Smock, who both work for Landow Performance, which is owned by Broncos head strength and conditioning coach Loren Landow.

Judging from the photo Agyei posted on Instagram, it appears that Lock is practicing social distancing even while training. Lock was also careful to follow social guidelines while throwing with teammates in the Denver area.

After going 4-1 as a starter last season, Lock will try to help the Broncos reach the playoffs in 2020, something the team hasn’t done since 2015.
