Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Arizona vs. Washington State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Arizona took down UCLA 58-52 Saturday, covering as 2-point home favorites. It has now covered in back-to-back games but is 2-4 in its last 6. Prediction

Arizona 72, Washington State 63

Moneyline

PASS.

There is no value on the Arizona (-210) moneyline play in this one.

Against the spread

LEAN ARIZONA -5.5 (-105).

Arizona has a fast-paced offense, averaging more than 83 PPG going up against a Washington State defense that ranks 273rd in the nation for opponent field goal percentage (45%).

In their earlier matchup this season, the Cougars got the best of the Wildcats on their home floor, beating them by 13 and covering as 12-point road underdogs. Expect Arizona to be looking for revenge in this one as they make a push for the top 5.

Over/Under

Washington State at Arizona odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Washington State at Arizona odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Washington State Cougars (6-10, 1-4 Pac-12) take on the No. 4 Arizona Wildcats (14-1, 3-1) Saturday. Tip at McKale Center is at 5 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Washington State vs. Arizona odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

Arizona enters off a 70-67 win against Washington Thursday. The Wildcats average 87.5 points per game (3rd) and will attempt to get their scoring back on track against a Cougars team that allows only 66.4 points (109th). Arizona has been stellar this entire season with its only loss coming by way of an 81-66 decision at Utah on Dec. 1.

Washington State has struggled this season and will hope to gain momentum by beating one of the top teams in the country on its home court. F DJ Rodman was the leading scorer for Washington against Arizona State with 16 points in a 77-71 loss Thursday and will need to have a big outing Saturday.

Washington State at Arizona picks and predictions

Prediction

Arizona 86, Washington State 75

Moneyline

PASS.

Arizona (-900) is far too steep to wager on and the Cougars (+550) don’t offer enough value to make them a viable option either.

Against the spread

BET WASHINGTON STATE +12.5 (-115).

The Cougars are coming off a 6-point defeat to Arizona State and will lose this one as well. However, they stayed in Arizona and should be more comfortable in this second leg of the trip.

This Cougars should hit 70 points and cover this number.

Over/Under

OVER 150.5 (-110) is the way to play this game.

Arizona scores 87.5 points per game and Washington State averages 69.4 per contest. While Arizona might not make its average, Washington State will reach its total and then some.

UCLA at Washington State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s UCLA at Washington State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 8 UCLA Bruins (11-2, 2-0 Pac-12) visit the Washington State Cougars (5-8, 0-2) in an end-of-the-year Pac-12 tilt Friday. Tip time from Friel Court at Beasley Coliseum will be at 11 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the UCLA vs. Washington State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

UCLA is 8-0 since losing back-to-back games Nov. 18 (to current-No. 22 Illinois) and Nov. 20 (to current-No. 13 Baylor). Recent wins include those of the straight-up and against-the-spread (ATS) variety at Maryland (Dec. 14) and on a neutral court against Kentucky (Dec. 17). The Bruins head into Friday’s game having won 3 in a row ATS.

The Cougars have lost 3 in a row ATS and are just 1-4 SU since Dec. 10. A hot start from the perimeter has fizzled of late. The Cougars shot 38.9% from 3-point range through Dec. 10 but have scuffled through a 25.9% mark in the 4 games since.

UCLA at Washington State picks and predictions

Prediction

UCLA 69, Washington State 65

Moneyline

PASS for now, but tab Washington as a watch. A price of +340 would be enticing for a team with a lot of minutes returning from a 22-win campaign a year ago.

Against the spread

The home team has won 4 straight ATS in this series.

Wazzou has thus far underplayed its talent level — and some analytics — in going 5-8. The Cougars have played 3 times since UCLA’s last game, Dec. 21. While those games were in Hawaii and could lead to some time-change-return lag, it perhaps sharpens WSU against a Bruins squad that has not played in 9 days.

The way Washington State played Baylor on Nov. 18 (a 65-59 loss on a neutral floor) makes for optimism on a Wazzou play Friday. The Cougars were essentially within 3 in that game for 15 minutes of the 2nd half.

Look for the Cougars to do enough from 3-point land and on the boards to keep this game in the 2-to-3-score territory.

TAKE THE COUGARS +8.5 (-115).

Over/Under

This one between a mid-pace UCLA squad and their slow-down hosts looks to be in balance around the mid-130s. PASS.

Washington State at Baylor odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Washington State at Baylor odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Washington State Cougars (4-5) visit the No. 11 Baylor Bears (7-2) Sunday. Tip from the Ferrell Center is set for 10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Washington State at Baylor odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Baylor has had a 12-day break, last taking the court Dec. 6 in a 80-57 win over Tarleton State. The Bears covered as 16.5-point favorites and pushed their against-the-spread (ATS) record to 5-4. They are 5-0 straight up at home. The Bears have covered 2 straight games as well.

Washington State lost to UNLV 74-70 on Dec. 10, failing to cover as 2.5-point favorites. That pushed their ATS record to 4-5; their straight-up road record is 0-2. The Cougars have covered just 1 of their last 4 games.

Washington State at Baylor picks and predictions

Prediction

Baylor 80, Washington State 66

Moneyline

PASS.

The Bears are undefeated at home and the Cougars are winless on the road. Combine the 2 and these odds are justified. Unfortunately, neither side is playable.

Against the spread

BET BEARS -10.5 (-110).

Washington State has not played a team of Baylor’s caliber, but is 3-1 ATS when a double-digit underdog. This should be its most challenging battle.

In the Cougars lone road games, they lost 74-60 to Oregon and 70-59 to Prairie View A&M. Baylor is significantly better than those teams and should heavily limit what Washington State can do offensively.

Baylor is rested and has an elite attack, ranking 12th in points per game (84.6) and 41st in field goal percentage (48.4%). It has covered in its last 2 games and is 3-2 as a double-digit favorite.

Combine it all, and back the BEARS -10.5 (-110).

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 140.5 (-115).

This is a different Baylor team than in years past. They rank 254th in opponents’ field goal percentage (44.1%) and 327th in opponents’ field goal percentage (37.1%).

Washington State ranks 32nd in 3-point percentage as well (38.9%), so it may find some success from deep. WSU also doesn’t have a great defense.

Baylor is 6-3 O/U, and Washington State has gone Over in 2 of its last 5 and in its most recent game, a 74-70 win with a 136 total. Considering Baylor’s pace and style, back the OVER 140.5 (-115).

Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl: Fresno State vs. Washington State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Fresno State vs. Washington State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Fresno State Bulldogs (9-4) take on the Washington State Cougars (7-5) in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl on Saturday. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium is at 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Fresno State vs. Washington State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

This game will be a battle of 2 teams that lean heavily on their quarterbacks.

Fresno State QB Jake Haener, a transfer from Washington early in his career, has shown toughness and ability throughout the past 2 seasons with the Bulldogs. From being carted off the field in Sept., he has shown the perseverance to come back and battle with his teammates.

This was shown once again in the Bulldogs’ 28-16 victory over Boise State in the Mountain West championship game. A win that not only got them into this game but also avenged an early season 20-point loss to the same Broncos team.

Washington State QB Cam Ward, a transfer from Incarnate Word University, has led the team to a 7-5 record while competing in the loaded Pac-12 conference. A 51-33 loss to the No.12 Washington Huskies to wrap up the season on Nov. 27 has left a bitter taste in the mouth of the Cougars and they will look to gain retribution Saturday.

Ward came to Washington State with his former head coach Eric Morris as offensive coordinator but will now have to finish his season and career without Morris who just accepted the job as coach of North Texas University. Ward finished the season with 3,094 passing yards, 23 TDs and 8 INTs.

Fresno State vs. Washington State picks and predictions

Prediction

Washington State 33, Fresno State 30

Moneyline

BET WASHINGTON STATE (+160).

This will be a difficult game for both teams. Washington State has had some difficulties this season and losing both coordinators before this game also will make things difficult.

Despite this, I like Washington State to win outright making the moneyline a more attractive wager than the spread. Haener is a wonderful player for Fresno State, but he cannot do it alone. I feel like the Cougars’ offense will be just a bit too much for the Bulldogs to handle, so give me WASHINGTON STATE (+160).

Against the spread

PASS.

With the feeling being that the Cougars will win, I would rather make a wager on the moneyline. The Pac-12 is a better conference than the Mountain West and Washington State has been a little more tested than Fresno State throughout the season.

Over/Under

BET OVER 53 (-109).

The outcome depends on the motivation of each team in the game in many bowl games. Neither of these two teams will have opt-outs to worry about and both teams still are humble enough to be happy about being in a bowl game.

Haener will want to finish his career with a win, and the Bulldogs will have to put up quite a few points to outduel the Cougars. This number seems a bit too low for this game and I see it getting to 60. OVER 53 (-109) is my favorite play.

Washington at Washington State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Washington at Washington State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 12 Washington Huskies (9-2, 6-2 Pac-12) square off against the Washington State Cougars (7-4, 4-4) Saturday. Kickoff from Martin Stadium is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Washington vs. Washington State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Rankings courtesy of the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY sports.

The Huskies cruised to a 54-7 victory over Colorado last week while covering as 30.5-point home favorites. Washington is set up for a decent bowl game with the program currently owning the No. 13 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings.

The Cougars defeated Arizona 31-20 last week to cover as 3.5-point favorites on the road. Washington State has won its last 3 games following a 3-game losing skid to Utah, Oregon State and USC.

Washington at Washington State picks and predictions

Prediction

Washington 38, Washington State 30

Moneyline

Even though the Huskies aren’t in contention of making the College Football Playoffs, I’ll take WASHINGTON (-125) as the program looks to secure the best bowl game possible. Washington has won 8 of its last 10 meetings with Washington State.

Against the spread

WASHINGTON -2 (-110) is an enticing wager as we only need the Huskies to win by a field goal to cover the spread. I’m expecting a strong performance from Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. to finish the regular season on a positive note.

The Huskies are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings against the Cougars and they are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road meetings vs. the Cougars.

Over/Under

It’s a Pac-12 showdown and these games tend to lead to plenty of points, so OVER 60.5 (-110) is where I’m leaning. Both teams are capable of scoring points in bunches and it should be a competitive game into the 4th quarter.

Utah at Washington State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Utah at Washington State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 14 Utah Utes (5-2, 3-1 Pac-12) and the Washington State Cougars (4-3, 1-3) play Thursday at Martin Stadium in Pullman, Wash. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Utah vs. Washington State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Utes are coming off a thrilling 43-42 home win over USC as a 3.5-point underdog last time out on Oct. 15. It was a nice rebound game after suffering its first conference setback at UCLA on Oct. 8, 43-32. The Utah offense has scored 32 or more points in each of the past 6 outings.

The Cougars opened 3-0 but they’ve struggled lately, going 1-3 since that hot start, including a 24-10 loss at Martin Stadium against Oregon State last time out on Oct. 15. The point total set a season-low for the 2nd consecutive game as the Cougs are averaging just 12.0 PPG in the previous 2 contests.

Utah at Washington State picks and predictions

Prediction

Utah 33, Washington 18

Moneyline

Utah (-290) will cost you nearly 3 times your potential return, and that’s just too much risk, especially on the road.

PASS.

Against the spread

UTAH -7.5 (+100) is a decent play at even money, although laying 7 and a hook with a favorite isn’t optimal.

Still, back the Utes here. Washington State has really struggled, while Utah has been pedal to the metal on offense. The Utes are hoisting up an impressive 40.7 PPG, 11th in the nation, and the Cougars’ offense won’t be able to keep up.

Over/Under

UNDER 55.5 (-120) is a good play, but it comes with risk. Remember, the Utah offense has been piling up the points and yardage, but that risk is offset by the fact Washington State cannot get out of its own way lately on offense.

While all the trends point to the Over for Utah, it’s all about the Under for Washington State. The Under has cashed in 7 of the past 8 games overall for the Cougars while going 16-5 in their past 21 against teams with a winning overall record.

Washington State at Oregon State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Washington State at Oregon State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Washington State Cougars (4-2, 1-2 Pac-12) and the Oregon State Beavers (4-2, 1-2) meet at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Washington State vs. Oregon State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Cougars were bounced 30-14 at USC last week, and their non-cover halted a 4-0 ATS run for Wazzu. The Under has cashed in each of Washington State’s 2 games on the road.

The Beavers snapped a 2-game losing streak in grand fashion with a walk-off touchdown at Stanford last week, winning 28-27 in one of the worst bad beats you’re ever going to see. The Over has cashed in 2 straight, and 4 of the past 5, for OSU.

Washington State at Oregon State picks and predictions

Prediction

Washington State 28, Oregon State 26

Moneyline

WASHINGTON STATE (+140) is a decent value on the road, although it certainly won’t be easy.

Oregon State (-165) is coming off a huge season-saving win, as 4-2 is a big difference from 3-3. But the Beavers have dropped 8 straight in this series since their last win Oct. 12, 2013, against the Cougars. Keep playing Washington State in this series until further notice.

Against the spread

WASHINGTON STATE +3.5 (-125) won’t roll to a huge win here, but it’s a strong play straight up. But, if you’re not quite feeling it on the ML, Washington State is a good play catching 3-and-a-hook. This is going to be a close one, and 4 of Wazzu’s 8 victories during its win streak over Oregon State have been 1-score games.

Over/Under

OVER 51.5 (-115) is the lean here, ever so slightly.

While the Under is 6-1 in the past 7 for Washington State, and 6-2 in the past 8 on the road, the Over is 8-1 in the past 9 meetings in this series, and 4-0 in the previous 4 battles in Corvallis.

The Over is also 4-1 in the past 5 games for Oregon State, 7-3 in the past 10 against winning sides and 23-9 in the past 32 following a non-cover.

Washington State at USC odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Washington State at USC odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Washington State Cougars (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) take on the USC Trojans (5-0, 3-0) at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Washington State vs. USC odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Washington State QB Cameron Ward finished with 343 yards passing, 3 TDs and 2 INTs in a 28-9 win vs. the California Golden Bears last Saturday. WR Renard Bell led the Cougars with 8 receptions for 115 yards and 1 TD as Washington State covered the 4-point spread as a favorite.

Washington State is 4-0 against the spread (ATS) in its last 4 games.

USC failed to cover the spread as a 24.5-point favorite vs. the Arizona State Sun Devils last Saturday. QB Caleb Williams threw for 348 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT and rushed for another score as USC improved to 5-0 for the first time in a full season since 2006.

The Under is 5-1 in the last 6 head-to-head meetings.

USC is ranked No. 6 in the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Washington State at USC picks and predictions

Prediction

USC 41, Washington State 17

Moneyline

PASS.

The USC (-540) moneyline should hit, but it is way too expensive. There are better opportunities in other markets.

Against the spread

BET USC -13.5 (-112).

USC’s 22nd-ranked passing offense (296.6 yards per game) should create huge problems for Washington’s 116th-ranked passing defense (allowing 275.4 yards per game).

While USC has failed to cover the spread in its last 2 wins, the team doesn’t seem content with barely winning games. Expect USC to be extra focused and to pull off a blowout win vs. a slightly overrated Washington State team.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 65.5 (-107).

The number is too high in this game. The Under is 2-1 in USC’s last 2 games and its defense is good enough to limit Washington State’s offense and keep this game under the total.

California at Washington State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s California at Washington State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The California Golden Bears (3-1, 1-0 Pac-12) square off with the Washington State Cougars (3-1, 0-1) at Martin Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the California vs. Washington State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Golden Bears have been playing much better than most people assumed they would this season as 2 of their first 3 wins have come by more than 10 points. California suffered a 24-17 loss at Notre Dame Sept. 17 for its lone loss of the season thus far.

The Cougars came close to knocking out a second ranked team this season when they fell 44-41 to Oregon last Saturday. Washington State was able to defeat a ranked Wisconsin team in Week 2, proving that they can compete with some of the better programs in college football.

California at Washington State picks and predictions

Prediction

Washington State 27, California 20

Money line

Washington State should be able to pull out a win at home against California, but I’ll PASS on the money line in this game. The Cougars are nearly -200 favorites at home and I can’t recommend taking them straight up at their current odds.

Against the spread

WASHINGTON STATE -3.5 (-115) is where I’m going in this game with the Cougars having the better offense. QB Cameron Ward has been able to overcome some turnover issues as he’s thrown for 1,102 yards and 10 touchdowns with 5 interceptions.

The Cougars are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a loss and they are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 conference games.

Over/Under

Pac-12 matchups can always result in a shootout, however, this feels like it’s going to be a lower-scoring game than expected. California wants to lean on its running game that is led by RB Jaydn Ott and Washington State could have a turnover or 2 that could lead to them not scoring as many points as they could.

UNDER 53.5 (-115) is the move in this game. The Under has hit in 5 of the last 6 meetings between California and Washington State overall and is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings when the Cougars were the home team.
