Rankings courtesy of Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Arizona State at USC: Odds, spread and lines

  • Money line: Arizona State +475 (bet $100 to win $475) | USC -650 (bet $650 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Arizona State +10.5 (-110) | USC -10.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 145.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Arizona State at USC: Three things to know

  1. Arizona State has picked up the pace with three wins in the past four outings, although it’s just 1-3 ATS during the span. That followed up a six-game losing skid, which included the first meeting with USC. The Trojans won that contest 73-64 as four-point road favorites Jan. 9. The game finished Under the 148.5 O/U line.
  2. USC has won six in a row since falling at Oregon State Jan. 19. USC also enters having covered the spread five games in a row. The Trojans have lost just three times – to Oregon State, at home vs. Colorado on New Year’s Eve and against UConn on a neutral court back in early December.
  3. USC has won three in a row by an average of 14.7 points per game, including an 18-point win over crosstown rival UCLA Feb. 6. The Trojans hold a one-game lead in the Pac-12 standings with six games remaining.

Arizona State at USC: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

USC 75, Arizona State 66

Money line (ML)

USC (-650) is a heavy favorite, which will cost you six and a half times your potential return. While the Trojans should be able to march on to their 18th victory of the season, there is just too much risk with little reward. PASS.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

ARIZONA STATE +10.5 (-110) is a dismal 2-10 ATS across the past 12 games, but ASU is catching double digits here. That’s way too much, even against the ranked Trojans on their home floor. The Sun Devils are playing their best basketball of the season, winning three of the past four. They lost by nine in the first meeting, and we’ll see a similar spread in this game.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 145.5 (-105) is the lean as the Under is an impressive 9-1-1 in the past 11 games for ASU against teams with a winning overall mark. The Under is 4-0 in the past four for the Sun Devils on the road against teams with a winning home record. Plus, USC has hit the Under in five of the past six at home against teams with a winning road mark.

The USC Trojans (15-3 overall, 9-2 Pac-12) visit the Washington Huskies (3-14, 2-10) Thursday. Tip-off for the conference matchup is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle. Below, we analyze the USC-Washington college basketball odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The Trojans are No. 20 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

USC is tied with UCLA atop the Pac-12, while Washington is in 11th place.

USC at Washington: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:15 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: USC -800 (bet $800 to win $100) | Washington +550 (bet $100 to win $550)
  • Against the spread/ATS: USC -11.5 (-115) | Washington +11.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 145.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

USC at Washington: Three things to know

  1. USC beat Washington 95-68 as a 13.5-point home favorite in mid-January. Sophomore F Isaiah Mobley scored a career-high 18 points and his younger brother, freshman F Evan Mobley, added 17 points as USC cruised to the win. The Trojans, who led 44-23 at the half, hit their first seven shots and held the Huskies to a 3-for-13 start.
  2. The Trojans, winners of 10 of their last 11, enter on a 4-game winning streak, recently knocking off crosstown rival UCLA 66-48 as a 4.5-point home favorite Saturday. Evan Mobley leads the Trojans in scoring (16.3 points per game), rebounds (9.0 RPG) and blocks (2.9 BPG). The 7-foot freshman is expected to be a high NBA Draft pick after the season.
  3. Washington has lost its last three games, most recently falling 86-74 at Oregon Saturday. The Huskies covered the spread as 13-point underdogs. Senior G Quade Green is the only Huskies player averaging double figures in points (15.4 PPG), while also leading the team in assists (3.4 APG) and steals (1.2 SPG).

Against the spread (ATS)

WASHINGTON +11.5 (-105) is the play. Expect USC to have a letdown in its first game since breaking into the Top 25 and its impressive win against UCLA.

The Trojans will win Thursday, but it won’t be a blowout. While they’re 4-1 straight up and 3-2 ATS in Pac-12 road games, only one of the victories was by double digits.

The Huskies are 2-3 SU/3-2 ATS in home conference games, including a notable 84-80 win against third-place Colorado (15-5, 9-4) in mid-January.

ATS: USC 11-7 | Washington 6-11

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 145.5 (-110) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager. Washington allows 78.6 PPG overall and 79.8 PPG in Pac-12 home games.

Meanwhile, USC’s defense ranks 39th in the country in points allowed (63.7 PPG), and sixth in opponents’ field-goal percentage (37.9%). But again, this will be a letdown outing for the Trojans.

O/U records: USC 10-8 | Washington 11-6

The UCLA Bruins (13-3 overall, 9-1 Pac-12) make the crosstown trip to face the USC Trojans (14-3, 8-2) in a Saturday night (10 p.m. ET) contest at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. Below, we analyze the UCLA-USC college basketball odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

UCLA is No. 21 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

UCLA at USC: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 12:05 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: UCLA +145 (bet $100 to win $145) | USC -175 (bet $175 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: UCLA +3.5 (-110) | USC -3.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 135.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

UCLA at USC: Three things to know

  1. UCLA was off to its best conference start since 1982-83 (8-0) before a last-second loss to Stanford Jan. 23. The Bruins bounced back with a 57-52 win over Oregon State Jan. 30; UCLA had a Monday game against Oregon postponed as a result of COVID-19 protocols.
  2. USC notched its third straight victory Tuesday, beating Stanford on the road, 72-66. F Evan Mobley (23 points), G Drew Peterson (15) and G Tahj Eaddy (14) paced the Trojans in scoring. The members of that trio are all averaging double figures on the season; Mobley is averaging team-highs in points (16.8 per game) and rebounding (9.0 per game).
  3. The Trojans are solid — and perhaps a bit overlooked — on defense. Southern Cal has allowed just 64.7 points per game, which ranks second in the Pac-12. USC has held foes to a 38.2% field-goal mark. In its last five home games, USC has held opponents under a 40% mark four times.

UCLA at USC: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

UCLA 68, USC 66

Money line (ML)

The Bruins should have fresh legs in defense of first-place in the circuit standings. UCLA has a knack for playing solid defense without logging a ton of fouls, and keeping USC off the line is a big key in this one. So is UCLA’s 3-point shooting. Look for a Bruin bounce in that department: UCLA went just 6-of-24 against Oregon State after having shot 41.5% from distance over its previous eight games.

BACK THE BRUINS +145. The ML play is the strongest wagering option for this matchup.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

In a low-scoring environment, the UCLA (+3.5, -110) tag has value but not as much of a margin as the ML play. PASS.

Over/Under (O/U)

These two teams display a lot of statistical consistency at both ends of the floor. This well-made total reflects that. PASS.

USC at Arizona: Betting odds, spread and lines

  • Money line: USC +170 (bet $100 to win $170) | Arizona -210 (bet $210 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: USC +4.5 (-110) | Arizona -4.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 137.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

USC at Arizona: Three things to know

  1. Southern California is 2-1 since enduring a 20-day, COVID-19-induced hiatus in December. USC is coming off a 64-46 win over Utah Saturday, a victory that saw the Trojans convert on 53.2% of their field-goal attempts. USC leads the Pac-12 in shooting accuracy, at 48.2%. The Trojans rank second in the circuit in 3-point accuracy (36.7%); they are inexplicably shooting just 60.5% (12th) from the free-throw line.
  2. A youthful Trojans rotation (five upperclassmen among top-10 in minutes) is led by seven-footer PF Evan Mobley. The freshman is averaging 15.0 PPG on the strength of a 58.7% mark from the field. Mobley is averaging 8.0 rebounds per contest. He’s the younger brother of sophomore Isaiah Mobley, who is averaging 8.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for USC.
  3. Arizona counters with an impressive freshman of its own in G Bennedict Mathurin, who is averaging 10.6 PPG and 4.9 RPG. The 6-foot-7 newcomer led the Wildcats in scoring in a weekend sweep of Washington and Washington State. He was selected as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, averaging 18.5 PPG and 8.5 RPG over those two contests.

USC at Arizona: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Arizona 71, USC 69

Money line (ML)

USC is a talented and tall team and it can get it done at both ends of the floor. The Trojans are playing their first true road game after two neutral-site games in early December. They lost by just five last year at Arizona (85-80, Feb. 6), and that was a less talented USC five in a rough stretch of its season.

In a vacuum, the lean is on Arizona in a close game but TAKE USC +170 as decent value with this ML tag.

Against the spread (ATS)

Southern Cal is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games, 4-1 ATS in its last five games vs. Arizona and 6-1 ATS in its last seven road games.

USC’s ability to defend near the bucket (and defend any shot period) is the difference-maker here. TAKE USC +4.5 (-110) … and consider the line as likely moving toward the Trojans side during the day.

Over/Under (O/U)

NO WIGGLE ROOM HERE — PASS. Expect a mid-tempo game with the winner of a close battle scoring 70 or 71 points.

  • Against the spread/ATS: Colorado +2.5 (-115) | USC -2.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 139.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Colorado at USC: Three things to know

  1. Southern California has played just once since Dec. 8, and that was an 86-63 home win over Santa Clara Tuesday. The Trojans head into Thursday’s tilt ranked as a top-60 scoring team at both ends of the floor. The USC offense (80.8 points per game) ranks 59th in the nation; the defense (63.7 PPG allowed) ranks 52nd.
  2. Colorado had held opponents to just 57.4 PPG until allowing 88 points in a loss at Arizona Monday. The Buffaloes were a minus-5 in turnovers in that game, and the Wildcats shot 52.6% from the floor and got to the free-throw line 27 times. Over its previous seven games, CU held foes to a 38% mark from the floor.
  3. A youthful Trojans rotation (five upperclassmen among top-10 in minutes) is led by seven-footer PF Evan Mobley. The freshman center is averaging 17.4 PPG on the strength of a 63.9% mark from the field. Mobley is averaging 8.7 rebounds per contest. He’s the younger brother of sophomore Isaiah Mobley, who is averaging 10.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for USC.

Colorado at USC: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

USC 73, Colorado 70

Money line (ML)

The lean is on USC in a close game. But PASS on the ML tag.

Against the spread (ATS)

The Buffaloes are 1-6 ATS over their last seven games against winning teams. They are 1-5 ATS over their last half-dozen road tilts. The Trojans are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. At home, they’ve won nine straight overall and three straight ATS.

There is just a SLIGHT LEAN ON USC -2.5 (-105) for this one. It may take more time for the market to catch up to a young USC team which is more efficient on offense.

Over/Under (O/U)

Both teams have improved on offense from a year ago. The Over is 4-2 in CU’s last six on the road and 3-1 in USC’s last four at home.

TAKE THE OVER 139.5 (-110).

Oregon at USC odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Friday’s Oregon Ducks at USC Trojans odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Oregon Ducks (3-2) face the No. 13 USC Trojans (5-0) in the Pac-12 championship game in the United Airlines Field at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Oregon-USC college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The Trojans are ranked No. 13 in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oregon at USC: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 7:55 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Oregon -155 (bet $155 to win $100) | USC +130 (bet $100 to win $130)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Oregon -3 (-110) | USC +3 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 63.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Oregon at USC: Three things to know

  1. After starting out 3-0, Oregon has lost back-to-back games with its latest coming as 9-point road favorites at California on Dec. 5. The Ducks out-gained the Golden Bears by nearly 100 yards but hurt their own chances by committing nine penalties for 60 yards and losing two fumbles in the 21-17 loss.
  2. USC (-3.5) climbed back from a double-digit deficit to beat UCLA 43-38 last week. Following a go-ahead field goal by the Bruins in the final minute, Trojans QB Kedon Slovis led USC down the field and connected WR Amon-Ra St. Brown for a game-winning touchdown pass with 16 seconds left.
  3. Oregon’s scheduled opponent last week—Washington—was forced to cancel the game because of a COVID outbreak within its program. The Ducks are second in the Pac-12’s North division and are replacing the first-place team (Washington) in this title game.

Oregon at USC: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

USC 41, Oregon 31

Money line (ML)

PASS ON THE MONEY LINE. Personally, -155 is a fair price if you feel strong enough about a side, but USC has played too many close games for me to pay that price for the Trojans’ money line.

Against the spread (ATS)

Aside from USC’s first game when its rush defense got gashed by Arizona State, the Trojans have done pretty well versus the run. And if USC has success bottling up the ground game and forces the Ducks to convert several 3rd-and-longs, then Oregon’s Achilles’ heel will show (turnovers).

The Ducks are minus-seven in turnover differential and ranked 124th in offensive turnover rate while USC’s defense has 15 takeaways and is ranked fourth in defensive turnover rate, according to Football Outsiders.

Additionally, the market is backing USC causing bookmakers to move the line from the Trojans being favored by one point to the current line. Let’s follow the money, BET USC -3 (-110) for 1 unit and hope we get the best number.

Over/Under (O/U)

If you remove Oregon’s turnovers, the Ducks are more productive and have better balance on offense. Oregon has a higher net yards and points per play and is better in high leverage situations (net 3rd down conversion and red zone scoring percentages).

For USC, QB Kedon Slovis is diming defenses up, and Oregon doesn’t get to the quarterback (102nd in sack rate) nor intercept them either (115th in opponent’s interception rate). Slovis is going to be comfy back there and should have success against an unproven Oregon pass defense.

GIMME OVER 63.5 (-115) for 1 unit.

USC at UCLA odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s USC Trojans at UCLA Bruins sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The No. 15 USC Trojans (4-0) hope to clinch a berth in the Pac-12 championship game when they drive over to the Rose Bowl to play the UCLA Bruins (3-2) at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the USC-UCLA college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The Trojans are ranked No. 15 in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

USC at UCLA: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:30 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: USC -160 (bet $160 to win $100) | UCLA +135 (bet $100 to win $135)
  • Against the spread/ATS: USC -3.5 (-110) | UCLA +3.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 63.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

USC at UCLA: Three things to know

  1. Southern California rolled Washington State 38-13 this past Sunday. The Trojans jumped out to a 28-0 first-quarter lead thanks to QB Kedon Slovis, who threw four of his five touchdown passes in the first quarter. USC has covered back-to-back games after they squeaked past their first two opponents and losing ATS in those games.
  2. UCLA won its second straight after beating Arizona State 25-18 as 3-point road ‘dogs. It was Bruins QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson‘s first game back after missing back-to-back games because of COVID-19 contact tracing protocols. Robinson completed 18 of 24 passes for 192 yards, 1 touchdown and added 49 rushing yards with 1 touchdown.
  3. Slovis outdueled Robinson in last year’s USC-UCLA meeting. The Trojans won 52-35 with Slovis passing for 515 yards, 5 touchdowns and no interceptions while Robinson threw for 367 yards, 3 scores but 1 interception.

USC at UCLA: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

UCLA 31, USC 30

Money line (ML)

UCLA’s defense could surprise people in this matchup. USC has been a one-dimensional offense this season, the Trojans only average 3.6 yards per rush and had 5 rushing yards in their last game against a mediocre Washington State rush defense.

The Bruins are allowing just 3.7 yards per rush, and their pass defense has improved by leaps and bounds year over year. Opponents are completing just 58.6% of passes against UCLA (66.4% in 2019) for 229.4 yards per game (310.8 in 2019) and the Bruins are 13th in sack rate.

Also, UCLA is better in high-leverage situations (3rd down and red zone conversion percentages). which is huge because USC-UCLA is projected to be a close one.

I only lean UCLA (+135) for a half-unit because there’s so much more value on the spread.

Against the spread (ATS)

GIMME UCLA +3.5 (-110) for 1.5 units. After losing outright and ATS to an undefeated now-No. 22 Colorado, the Bruins have covered four straight games. Plus we get to fade the market with USC getting 67% of the action according to Pregame.com.

Over/Under (O/U)

UCLA should look to the run at USC and avoid the Trojans’ awesome pass defense. Southern California is 14th in opponent’s yards per pass, ninth in interception rate and 25th in sack rate.

Furthermore, there’s value on the Under here because the public always expects USC and UCLA to go Over. They have a combined O/U record of 2-7 with all of the Trojans games going Under the total. More than 90% of the public is hammering the Over again in this game (Pregame.com).

I get these offenses are good, but this total is too high. BET UNDER 63.5 (-105) for 1 unit.

Washington State at USC: Three things to know

  1. Washington State’s matchup against Stanford was canceled last week due to COVID-19 concerns. The Cougars have thus far exhibited a balanced attack with QB Jayden de Laura tallying 548 yards and 4 touchdown passes and RB Deon McIntosh rushing for 239 yards.
  2. USC’s aerial assault has been sharp through three games. Southern Cal has averaged 323.3 yards per game while completing 70.7% of its passes. Sophomore QB Kedon Slovis has 5 touchdown passes against 2 interceptions.
  3. That Trojan passing game will be up against a Wazzu pass defense which has been torched for 641 yards in two games. The Cougars ranked 114th (FBS) against the pass in 2019.

Washington State at USC: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

USC 38, Washington State 31

Money line (ML)

PASS. Value odds on a Wazzu lean are well bracketed.

Against the spread (ATS)

The road team is 6-1 in the last seven games of this series, and the visiting team is a solid lean Sunday night. In a small sample, USC has an 11-yard spread in drive starts (offense vs. defense). Figure on some regression in that department and on the Cougars being able to stay within 7-11 points.

BACK WASHINGTON STATE +12.5 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

No lean either way. PASS.

The Trojans are ranked 19th in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

USC at Utah: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday at 5:10 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: USC -139 (bet $139 to win $100) | Utah +115 (bet $100 to win $115)
  • Against the spread/ATS: USC -3 (-106) | Utah +3 (-115)
  • Over/Under: 58.5 (O: -106 | U: -115)

USC at Utah: Three things to know

  1. USC pulled out another close win last week, beating Arizona 34-30 thanks to an 8-yard game-winning touchdown scamper by RB Vavae Malepeai with 25 seconds remaining. The Trojans failed to cover as 15-point favorites.
  2. The 2019 campaign was Utah’s 13th winning season in 15 years under head coach Kyle Whittingham, who has transformed the Utes program into a low-key powerhouse. Utah’s 11 wins were the second-most in program history, behind the 2004 undefeated team that won 12 games with Urban Meyer at the helm.
  3. Utah must overcome the most roster turnover in the nation, according to ESPN. The Utes are dead-last in the country in defensive return of production and 105th on the other side of the ball.

USC at Utah: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

USC 30, Utah 21

Money line (ML)

USC certainly hasn’t been impressive in its first two games but at least it has gotten a chance to work out the kinks. All of Utah’s roster turnover and not having any real game reps makes this line puzzling.

My read is that the market is low on USC after eking out wins as double-digit favorites and its recent head-to-head performances against Utah. The Utes have 31 active players in the NFL and have built themselves into a legitimate contender to win the Pac-12 year in, year out.

I’m going to fade supposed sharp money, which has taken USC’s opening number down from -165 to the current price. It feels like the action is more against USC than pro-Utah but the Trojans have more talent on the field. USC is ranked fifth in ESPN’s return of production and should have enough balance on offense to give any defense fits.

GIMME USC (-139) for 1 unit.

Against the spread (ATS)

Obviously, I lean USC -3 (-106) but I’d rather stick with the money line wager. Taking the Trojans here makes sense since it’s a flat 3 but still reduced vig. You could go either way with this, but let’s get greedy and BET USC -3 (-106) for a half-unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS on the total. My feeling is that USC’s defense is going to make life tough on a Utes’ offense whose 2019 starting quarterback graduated (Tyler Huntley) and starting running back was drafted by the Buffalo Bills (Zack Moss).

The Over is 4-1 across the past five USC-Utah games and the Trojans are 82nd in opponent’s yards per play, 75th in opponent’s 3rd down conversion percentage and they’ve allowed opponents to score on 100% of red-zone appearances.

USC is 20th in the Amway Coaches Poll.

USC at Arizona: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 9:25 a.m. ET.

  • USC erased a 13-point deficit against Arizona State in the final five minutes of the game to win 28-27, despite four turnovers.

USC at Arizona: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

USC 41, Arizona 20

Money line (ML)

USC has offense. Arizona’s defense is developing, but the Wildcats are still building their team. They are not at all on the same level as the Trojans. Slovis will have no problem picking apart the secondary. There isn’t much money in it, so betting the money line won’t win you much, but it is a sure thing. If you want to bet the money line, take USC (-556), but you are better off betting the spread.

Against the spread (ATS)

USC narrowly got the win over Arizona State but failed to cover the spread. The Trojans have the advantage of being the better team and having played a game, while Arizona has not yet been able to get those first live snaps under its belt. This will be a blowout. Take USC -14 (-121).

Over/Under (O/U)

USC won’t have any problem scoring points, but it will keep Arizona from scoring enough to go Over the projected total. Take UNDER 67.5 (-110).
