The Trojans are favorites in their division with the Sun Devils expected to be contenders. The two teams have been fairly matched over the last 10 seasons. USC holds a slim 6-4 advantage. Betting USC doesn’t make much sense financially at -385. One might say to simply stay away from this bet, but ASU has had more prep time because of practice restrictions in California and Herm Edward’s squad has been consistently strong against strong competition. This game will be close enough that making a minor wager on ARIZONA STATE (+295) is worth it.
Against the spread (ATS)
The two teams are 5-5 ATS facing one another the last 10 years. There is a belief that the Sun Devils can be surprisingly good in 2020. USC will put up points, but so will the Devils and it will make for a fun conference opener. Take ARIZONA STATE +10.5 (-110).
Over/Under (O/U)
This is a lock. When the two have played, they have gone Over in each of the last three games, and in seven of their last 10 games. The Trojans are deadly on offense and the Devils believe that Daniels is going to be great this season. Take OVER 55.5 (-115).
