Best golf sweaters for fall 2022

The best time to wear a golf sweater is all the time.

Ah, the beauty of fall. Chilly mornings and afternoons that have you scrambling to turn your A/C on in the car as soon as you leave work.

Fall is a fickle season. There’s football, a nip in the air, pumpkin spice and early morning tee times that are oh so perfect. On the contrary there’s leaves that hide your golf ball in the middle of the fairway, late season aeration and less daylight to play the game we adore.

Either way, we welcome fall with open arms thanks to our favorite sweater.

The quintessential fall apparel, sweaters should have a secure spot in your golf wardrobe. If you’ve moved away from traditional sweater, check out some of our other fall favorites:

Pink golf apparel to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Pink is fashionable year round, but in October it takes on a deeper meaning.

October is upon us which means it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

One of the deadliest diseases amongst women in the United States, breast cancer has unfortunately left a mark on all of our lives. Spreading awareness and helping people get access to treatment and early detection is what October is all about. In fact, take time to remind someone you love to get a mammogram, you could help save a life.

With plenty of charity tournaments and golf-related events that help raise awareness about breast cancer, you’re going to need some pink in your closet. Plus, pink is an awesome color to rock on the golf course.

And while we are officially in fall, not everything on this list is fall-centric, as you should be repping pink all year long. If you’re looking for more fall and early winter golf gear, check out the following lists to stock up and stay warm.

Report: Warriors’ Steph Curry nears lifetime contract with Under Armour

Steph Curry is reportedly on the verge of signing a massive lifetime deal with Under Armour.

During Steph Curry’s meteoric rise on the court in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors point guard has been wearing Under Armour kicks on his feet since 2013.

The reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player looks as if he will continue wearing the UA logo on his shoes. According to a report in Rolling Stone from Matt Sullivan, Curry is on the verge of signing a lifetime contract with Under Armour worth “potentially more than $1 billion.”

Via @BleacherReport on Twitter:

After releasing a flurry of signature shoes with Under Armour, Curry launched his own brand in 2020. Under Curry Brand, the eight-time All-Star unveiled more signature shoes with his own personalized logo. The Curry Flow 8 was the first shoe Curry released under the Curry Brand umbrella.

Curry has since dropped the Curry Flow 9 with multiple colorways, including a Cookie Monster-themed shoe and a pair of kicks with “We Believe” era colors.

During his offseason camp, Curry debuted the Curry Flow 10s for a scrimmage with his campers. There’s still no confirmed release date for the latest Curry Brand shoe.

More on this storyline

“There wasn’t quite an understanding of what it took to run a business like that properly,” Curry says of Under Armour’s commitment to his shoes at the time. He pauses. “So, yeah, I got mad.” With the partnership already boiling, Plank appeared on CNBC praising the business mindset of then-newly-elected Trump as “a real asset to the country.” Asked about the comment in an interview the next day, Curry shot back, “I agree with that description, if you remove the ‘et.’ ” Curry reached out to Plank privately, and while the Under Armour founder tells me “there was zero beef,” Curry’s frustration lingers. “When you represent a company that big,” he tells me, “you can’t just fly by the seat of your pants.” -via Rolling Stone / September 14, 2022
At a come-to-Jesus summit with Plank in the summer of 2018, Curry says, he made clear that he was thinking about leaving for the competition: “Certain things needed to change, or else.” Nodding toward his crotch, he adds, “I put it on the table.” After the meeting, Plank agreed to establish Curry Brand as its own subsidiary, in the mold of Jordans. “I don’t have to raise my voice to get mad,” Curry says. “That’s the best part about it.” -via Rolling Stone / September 14, 2022
Moreover, there is so much more that the Currys have done in Oakland outside the public and media eye. “Steph calls me last December and tells me to hang out with him during the middle of COVID,” said Aneel Bhusri, co-founder and co-CEO at Workday. “ ‘Come to Oakland and come to an event with me.’ We got to a few food banks and women shelters. We pack up toys. This is his day off between games. “We got to get the world to be fairer. More balanced. You think about Eat. Learn. Play. You think about what they did during the pandemic. They served more than 20 million meals to kids. I don’t know how Oakland would have got through it without Steph and Ayesha. I really don’t.” -via Andscape / September 13, 2022

Steph Curry let Riley Curry unbox his new Curry 10 sneaker for her 10th birthday and it was so adorable

Riley Curry is really 10 years old, y’all. She’s as old as Steph Curry’s sneaker line.

Can y’all believe Riley Curry is already 10 years old? Man, time flies.

It feels like it was just yesterday when we saw her being the cutest baby ever during Steph Curry’s MVP ceremony. Remember that time she rejected a postgame kiss from her papa? Or how about when she forced him into doing the #InMyFeelings challenge for her 6th birthday?

Wild, right? The time is going so fast. Now she’s 10. 10 years old! And for her 10th birthday (which was actually back in July), her dad let her unbox his new Curry 10 sneakers.

That’s a pretty cool moment because, in case you didn’t know, Curry actually signed with Under Armour 10 years ago. And this is his 10th signature shoe with the brand, obviously. He talked in depth here about that with Sports Illustrated’s Jarrel Harris.

Curry just entered into a realm not many other athletes have entered into. A 10th signature sneaker with a brand is something only Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant have done so far. That’s something to be proud of. And to share it with his daughter in this way is dope.

This is almost certainly going to be one of those moments they look back on in another 10 years like “wow, that was cool.” But you can tell, at this moment, Riley is like “Daaaaad, why are you making me do this?” in the most adorable way possible.

It’s so lovely.

“These are so cool,” she said after she grabs them out of the box. And, to her credit, they are pretty cool. But not as cool as this daddy-daughter moment.

So stinking adorable. Ugh.

Warriors’ Steph Curry debuts new Curry 10 signature sneaker at Curry Camp

Steph Curry debuted his new signature Curry 10 sneaker at his camp.

Before the Golden State Warriors set out to defend their throne as NBA champions in the new 2022-23 campaign, Steph Curry has debuted a new pair of kicks.

After wearing a bevy of different sneakers from his Under Armour and Curry Brand catalog of signature shoes, the reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player will have a new pair of kicks to wear for the upcoming season.

At his Curry Camp in San Francisco, the Warriors All-Star point guard debuted his new Curry 10 signature shoe. Donning the Curry Brand logo near the heel, the new pair of kicks are covered in navy blue, orange and yellow. The colorway of the latest Curry Brand shoes is reminiscent of Golden State’s “We Believe” era uniforms.

Along with wearing the tenth edition of his signature shoe on the court at his camp, Curry gifted a new pair of his shoes to his daughter Riley on her tenth birthday.

When the Warriors hit the court for the 2022-23 season, expect to see more colorways and different editions of the Curry 10.
