Georgia fans rejoice after 5-star DL Elijah Griffin’s commitment

Five-star recruit Elijah Griffin has committed to Georgia football and UGA fans are excited on social media!

The Georgia Bulldogs added a prized class of 2025 recruit in five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin and Georgia fans are fired up after Griffin’s commitment!

Griffin is ranked as the No. 4 player in the country. Griffin is the top ranked recruit in Georgia and the No. 1 defensive end. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive lineman plays high school football for Savannah Christian Prep in Savannah, Georgia.

Griffin is Georgia’s highest rated commitment in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The elite defensive end prospect was the nation’s top ranked uncommitted recruit. Griffin is one of four five-star recruits that are currently committed to UGA.

Griffin’s commitment boosts Georgia up to the third-ranked recruiting class in the country. The Bulldogs previously had the fifth-ranked class. Griffin is Georgia’s No. 23 commitment in the class of 2025, but Georgia is not done yet.

“Come on home,” said four-star Georgia offensive line commitment Dontrell Glover to uncommitted five-star defensive line recruit Justus Terry.

“Go Dawgs !!,”  said Georgia head coach Kirby Smart following Griffin’s  commitment.

“Commit to the G!” said four-star Georgia tight end commit Ethan Barbour.

“We can never be done,” said Georgia recruiting staffer David Cooper via social media.

Georgia fans unsatisfied with UGA’s win vs Mississippi State

UGA football fans aren’t satisfied after Georgia’s 10-point win over 1-5 Mississippi State

Georgia Bulldogs fans aren’t exactly elated following Georgia’s 41-31 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Yes, Georgia picked up a big SEC win at home, where UGA has now won 28 straight games dating back to 2019.

However, Georgia’s secondary did not have a strong performance and the Bulldogs allowed far too many points to Mississippi State. Two Georgia penalties on third down fueled one Mississippi State touchdown drive. Additionally, Georgia mistakes gave Mississippi State a pair of big plays in the passing game.

Georgia will need to play better next week against No. 1 Texas if the Dawgs want to emerge victorious.

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, who threw for a career-high 459 passing yards, and the UGA offense moved the ball well against Mississippi State. A pair of Georgia turnovers gave Mississippi State life and made the game much more competitive than it needed to be.

Georgia fans react to 8th straight win over Auburn

The Georgia Bulldogs continue to dominate the rivalry series with the Auburn Tigers

The Georgia Bulldogs have defeated the Auburn Tigers eight consecutive times. Georgia topped Auburn 31-13 behind a strong showing from running back Trevor Etienne, who recorded two touchdowns.

Georgia, unlike Alabama, did not have a let down following last week. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck had an efficient performance, completing 23 of 29 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns as Georgia moved to 4-1.

Georgia avoided an upset at home on a week of upsets in college football. Four top 10 teams in the US LBM Coaches Poll lost in Week 6. Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan and Missouri all lost in conference games.

Georgia and Auburn both played a clean game with no turnovers. Georgia slightly outgained Auburn, but dominated in the most important situations.

Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins and safety Malaki Starks both had strong games for the Georgia defense, which limited Auburn’s offense, but allowed the Tigers to have success on the ground.

Georgia fans sad, yet optimistic after Bulldogs loss at Alabama

UGA football’s strong second half at Alabama gives Georgia fans a lot of reason to have optimism

The Georgia Bulldogs (3-1) gave UGA fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic in their 41-34 loss at the Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0) thanks to Georgia’s strong second half. Georgia stumbled out of the gate and trailed 28-0 in the first half. Turnovers and pour tackling cursed the Bulldogs as they failed to find a hold on the road.

At one point in the third quarter, Alabama had a 99.0% chance to win according to ESPN. Georgia changed the momentum behind a monster second half from quarterback Carson Beck and a much improved defensive effort.

Right after Georgia finally gained the lead on a long Dillon Bell touchdown, UGA gave up a 75 yard touchdown to Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams. Williams finished the game with six receptions for 177 yards and a touchdown. No other Alabama receiver finished with over 40 yards.

Georgia’s final drive of the night stalled in the red zone as Carson Beck threw his third interception of the game to Alabama defensive back Zabien Brown.

Beck finished the night with 439 passing yards, four touchdowns, and four turnovers. Beck and the Georgia team showed that UGA is capable of winning a championship in the second half, but they have to start faster and take better care of the football.

Social media reacts to Georgia’s 34-3 win over Clemson

Georgia football fans are hyped on social media after defeating the Clemson Tigers in dominant fashion

The Georgia Bulldogs are 1-0 after picking up a 34-3 win over the Clemson Tigers. Georgia used a dominant second half in which the Bulldogs outscored Clemson, 28-3, to erase the Tigers’ hopes of an upset.

Quarterback Carson Beck and the Georgia offense found their rhythm in the second half. Georgia’s second-half success started on first down. The Bulldogs passed more on first down to open up the Clemson defense, which was loading up to stop the Dawgs’ run attack.

Carson Beck completed 23 of 33 passes for 273 passing yards and two touchdowns. He showed improved mobility throughout the contest and was accurate for the most part. Beck and the Georgia offense avoided turnovers and did not allow Clemson to have much hope as the Bulldogs poured it on in the second half.

Transfer wide receivers Colbie Young and Landon Humphreys both caught second half touchdowns. Receiver Dillon Bell left the game with cramps. Running back Nate Frazier had 11 carries for 83 yards and one touchdown in the Bulldogs’ win.

The Bulldog defense limited Clemson’s offense, which did not look very potent. Clemson managed 188 total yards and 13 first downs.

Georgia safety Malaki Starks forced the Tigers’ lone turnover of the day. He recorded an epic interception that looked very similar to the interception he had against Oregon as a true freshman. Linebacker Jalon Walker recorded 1.5 sacks in Georgia’s win. Linebacker CJ Allen was flying all over the place.

Social media reactions pour in after UGA football’s season opener

How did Georgia Bulldog fans and media react to Georgia’s season opening win over UT Martin?

Georgia Bulldogs football is back! Georgia fans filled Sanford Stadium for the Bulldogs’ first night game since 2021.

The Dawgs fended off a pesky UT Martin team after a slow start. The Bulldogs’ offense looked out of sync at times, but UT Martin never truly threatened to make the game competitive.

Georgia starting quarterback Carson Beck threw for nearly 300 yards and finished the game with two total touchdowns. Brock Bowers and Mekhi Mews stood out for the Georgia offense.

Defensively, Georgia picked up where it left off. Safeties Malaki Starks and Javon Bullard look like an elite pairing. The Dawgs allowed only 128 passing yards and 260 total yards in the win. Georgia’s defense lost its chance at another shutout in the fourth quarter, but bounced back with a Kyron Jones pick-six.
