Kirby Smart and Georgia will face the Tigers in a battle for second place in the SEC East. Georgia is looking to make a New Year’s Six bowl game.

Georgia quarterback JT Daniels will look to improve to 3-0 in his first three starts. Can he find a strong connection with wide receiver George Pickens? Pickens shredded the Tigers last season.

Georgia dominated South Carolina on the ground last time they played. Missouri is one of the hotter teams in the SEC and will look to shut down Georgia’s rushing attack. If Missouri can pull off the upset, then it will be a monumental win for first year Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz.

Here’s the trailer the Georgia football program dropped ahead of game No. 9 against the Missouri Tigers:

[jwplayer FLmgCOt1]

The Georgia vs Missouri football game, which was scheduled for this weekend in Columbia, Missouri, has been postponed, the SEC announced.

The reason being positive COVID tests and contact tracing within the Tigers’ football program.

The No. 12 ranked Bulldogs were set to take on Missouri Saturday at noon in a game that was to be televised on the SEC Network.

The SEC released a statement:

The Georgia at Missouri football game of November 14 has been postponed due to combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Missouri football program, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements.

Because Missouri has a game tentatively scheduled for December 12, the opportunity to reschedule the Georgia at Missouri game will need to be evaluated. The rescheduling of games on the remaining SEC football schedule may include December 19 as a playing date.

With Missouri already playing Vanderbilt on December 12, the date the conference set aside for make-up games, this game may be forced to be played on December 19, the date of the SEC Championship, per the SEC’s release.

Alabama at LSU and Texas A&M at Tennessee, both scheduled for this weekend, have also been postponed for the same reasons.

Georgia plays at home against Mississippi State the following weekend.

Georgia football: Announcers set for UGA at Missouri

The announcers have been set for the Georgia Bulldogs at Missouri Tigers game. UGA is favored to win.

The announcers have been set for the Georgia Bulldogs at Missouri Tigers game. The game will be televised at on ESPN at is set to kickoff at noon.

Georgia shut out Missouri 27-0 in Athens last season. This match-up feels different with UGA coming off a deflating loss to Florida. Missouri has a few players suspended for the first half and Georgia has several players injured, so both teams will not be close to full strength.

The Tigers enter the game 2-3 overall, and they’ve won two of their last three. They topped LSU in a nail-biter and shutdown Kentucky’s offense in a 20-10 victory. Missouri has a new coach in Eli Drinkwitz, who comes to Columbia, Missouri following a brief stint with Appalachian State.

The reason Missouri has suspensions is due to their brawl at halftime with Florida (the Tigers lost 41-17 to the Gators). Missouri is coming off a bye week and should be improved and healthier.

ESPN’s Mark Jones, Dusty Dvoracek, and Quint Kessenich will be on the call for the SEC East game.

Georgia’s last game at noon was a sleepy affair. Hopefully this contest will be more exciting than the Dawgs’ 14-3 win over Kentucky.
