Ohio State fires back after UGA fans troll Justin Fields with GameDay sign

The Ohio State Buckeyes trolled UGA after Dawgs fans made a GameDay sign aimed at Justin Fields.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are returning to play college football Oct. 24, but that didn’t stop some Georgia fans from making a College GameDay sign that trolled Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields. Fields originally played at UGA, but transferred to the Buckeyes after one season.

Here’s the sign some Bulldogs fans made to troll Fields:

For those who can’t see the Tweet above, the sign says, “how does it feel watching Game Day on yo couch @Justnfields”.

Fields probably wasn’t watching College GameDay, but he is still mentioned a lot around Athens, Georgia. He (or Trevor Lawrence) was the top rated quarterback recruit in his recruiting class. Now, with Georgia taking on a new starting quarterback for the first time in three years, Fields’ name has resurfaced.

Some Georgia fans thought Fields would transfer back to Georgia, which was quite unlikely despite Ohio State initially considering playing football in the spring. Fields seems happy at Ohio State and he’s stayed in touch with some of his former Georgia Bulldog teammates.

Ohio State had a quick response to the GameDay sign from their official Twitter account:

Honestly, the sign doesn’t make that much sense considering the fact that Ohio State is playing this season. Ohio State isn’t playing yet (college football’s staggered start will become problematic this season) though. GameDay assumed the sign would garner some serious attention on social media and that’s probably why they aired it on TV.

Six of Georgia’s 24 commitments in the class of 2018 have now transferred from the program.
