Twitter reacts to George Kittle’s attempted troll of George Karalftis

George Kittle’s attempted troll of George Karlaftis cost the #49ers the ball in the #Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII win.

The Kansas City Chiefs emerged as the victors in Super Bowl LVIII, and while the San Francisco 49ers were a worthy opponent, the NFC powerhouses couldn’t seem to get out of their own way.

San Francisco’s woes were encapsulated perfectly in this clip that was posted to social media this week, which shows 49ers tight end George Kittle attempting to troll Chiefs lineman George Karlaftis during a play that ended in a turnover.

Instead of giving into Kittle’s provocation, Karlaftis pounced on the ball after it was fumbled, giving Kansas City possession in the early stages of Super Bowl LVIII.

While Kittle isn’t entirely to blame for San Francisco’s loss, this clip didn’t look great, especially given his mediocre performance in the big game.

The Chiefs held Kittle to just two receptions for four yards in the Super Bowl, locking down the decorated tight end in all four quarters.

Chiefs fans react to hilarious Justin Reid clap back on Twitter

#Chiefs fans went ballistic after Justin Reid dropped this legendary reply to a troll on Twitter.

The Kansas City Chiefs put together a remarkable performance to sneak past the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs on Sunday night, and tensions ran high on social media platforms after the game.

Bills Mafia was, understandably, distraught when Buffalo was dismantled by Kansas City at Highmark Stadium, and took their frustrations out on players and fans in Chiefs Kingdom.

Justin Reid, whose exceptional play helped buoy Kansas City’s defense, was one target that the Bills’ faithful went after on Twitter as they tried to cope and ease the pain of yet another tough playoff loss at the hands of the Chiefs.

When one fan saw Reid’s post-game message on Twitter, they tried to detract from his performance, saying the safety is a “great tackler” but that he “can’t guard a soul.”

Reid, who didn’t allow a catch in Sunday’s contest, was quick to clap back, offering a humorous reply that had Chiefs fans buzzing on Twitter.

Ja Morant brilliantly burned 20 seconds off of the game clock by trolling the Hornets and standing over the ball

This is ELITE gamesmanship from Ja Morant but plenty of fans don’t like it.

The NBA is a weird league sometimes with lots of weird rules.

There are all these weird little hacks that players come up with to — not cheat the game — but give themselves advantages by pushing rules as far as they can go. We see it all the time, honestly.

One of the tricks that always makes folks laugh is when the inbounding team rolls the ball up the court. The shot clock doesn’t start until after a player makes contact with the ball, so it gives the inbounding team a pretty lengthy possession.

We’ve seen plenty of players push this rule to the limit — Chris Paul, Marcus Smart, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook.

None of them have quite done it like Ja Morant just did, though.

The Grizzlies point guard burned 20 seconds off of the game clock by just standing over the ball against the Hornets. Literally, that’s all he did. He just stood there. It was wild to watch.

This is hilariously brilliant stuff from Ja. The game clock was running but the shot clock was not. Neither the 8-second backcourt count nor the shot clock starts until the ball is touched. Morant would’ve been content to just let the quarter run out if Terry Rozier hadn’t gone and pressured the ball at all.

Is this actually part of basketball? No, not really. But it is brilliant.

LaMelo Ball made a shot for the Hornets around the 3:40 mark but Charlotte didn’t get the ball back until nearly a minute later because of this gamesmanship. As a team with a lead, the goal is to always get to the end of the game with that lead. Finding any way to get to that result faster is always the way you want to go. Morant found an extremely clever way here and he took things over the top.

One could argue that this is in poor taste here — the Grizzlies are up 30 here and this feels like one big embarrassing troll for them. But, hey, man. Rules are rules. Pressure the ball and this doesn’t happen.

There were lots of varying opinions from fans on this.

The Padres jokingly gave C.J. Abrams the traditional ‘silent treatment’ after he hit his first career home run

The whole team just trolled Abrams . Wow.

Can you imagine the feeling you get after hitting your first career home run in Major League Baseball?

I mean, I personally cannot imagine hitting a home run — period. But if I could? Boy, would I be over the moon. So I can only imagine how Padres prospect C.J. Abrams felt after knocking his first career homer in the big leagues against the Braves.

He went yard on Thursday night to give the Padres a 4-0 lead over Atlanta and his teammates thought it’d be the perfect time to play a joke on him.

Of course, after your teammate hits a homer for the first time you should absolutely be happy for him. And that’s what Abrams expected when he got back into the dugout.

Instead, he got the silent treatment. FROM THE WHOLE TEAM. It was hilarious.

This is actually a tradition in the Majors. Anytime someone gets their first career homer, the team has to give them the silent treatment. At least for a few seconds. It’s a tradition that has been around for years.

You just knew this wouldn’t hold up after a few seconds. You could literally see the smiles cracking on his teammate’s faces after Abrams turned around.

They celebrated it the right way eventually, but this was hilarious. What a perfect and well-organized troll.

The Pelicans pulled off a perfect troll of ESPN and the Lakers after getting a win in LA

This is HILARIOUS.

The Lakers absolutely stink right now, man. They’ve lost five games in a row and are looking like they’ll miss the playoffs completely. Yes, that includes the play-in.

Yet, still, media outlets everywhere find ways to talk about them even in their losses. That doesn’t exclude us here, by the way. We all talk about the Lakers way too much. Everyone knows it.

But the Pelicans? They’ve had quite enough Lakers talk from everyone. But, more specifically, from ESPN.

So much so that, after they beat the Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis playing, they changed their Twitter bio to this on Friday night.

EL. OH. EL. That’s actually pretty funny. What an awesome troll. But there’s absolutely no way ESPN would overlook the actual scoreboard and…wait…WAIT.

WOWWWW LOLOLOLOLOL.

Now, to be fair to ESPN, the Sportscenter account did actually tweet about the Pelicans after their win.

I can still totally understand where the team is coming from with this, though. Nobody wants to hear about LeBron’s numbers when the Lakers just lost their 5th straight game. Not even LeBron, probably.

Regardless, this was a pretty excellent troll from the Pelicans’ Twitter account. Just A1. Fans loved it.

Stephen A. Smith used Wordle to dunk on the Cowboys and it was the absolute best

Stephen A. just won’t quit bullying the Cowboys.

It has been a whole week and a half since the Dallas Cowboys were booted out of the playoffs by the 49ers but Stephen A. Smith is not letting off the gas here.

He is taking every opportunity he can get to dunk on the Cowboys and, I’ve got to say, I appreciate the commitment to the bit.

This time around he’s using Wordle to do it — the internet word guessing game turned into a viral sensation. It was pretty clever, honestly.

He tweeted an image of a Wordle board with Cowboys as the subject at the top. The word choice in the puzzle was “choke” and, of course, it was correct.

Fam. This is hilarious. I’m sorry, Cowboys fans. Hate that it has to be you. But, hey. At least your team didn’t blow a 35-point lead, right?

Anyway, fans got a pretty good laugh out of this.

Michigan perfectly trolled Penn State for their hilariously bad Super Bowl tweet

And they used Tom Brady to do it.

Say what you want about Michigan, but their troll game is definitely on point.

They perfectly trolled Big Ten rival Penn State after they tweeted an awful graphic about how every Super Bowl has included a Penn State alum…except for five since 1967.

Honestly, that’s a pretty impressive accomplishment! That’s not what makes the tweet ridiculous. It’s the hilarious fine print at the bottom that delivers the caveat of “except 1967” that make this tweet so wild.

Honestly. This thing immediately feels like one of those commercials where they say whatever they’re selling you can do anything…except for the things it can’t. Which are included here in the fine print.

It’s ridiculous. And it deserved to be trolled. So Michigan pulled off a pretty great one. They said that notable Michigan alum Tom Brady has played in every Super Bowl…except the 45 he hasn’t.

GOLD. Just golden. What a perfect troll. Of course, Michigan wasn’t the only school to get in on this. Ole Miss did, too.

UMBC actually had a pretty fantastic one about playing in or watching every Super Bowl ever. You know, since they don’t have an actual football team.

Just incredible. Well done all around. 10 out of 10. Keep the trolls coming, please.
