Fernando Tatis danced when Cubs fans chanted ‘he’s on steroids’ and it’s such a vibe

Fernando Tatis Jr. doesn’t care about your silly chants, Cubs fans

Fernando Tatis Jr. has taken a whole bunch of trash talk from a whole bunch of people over the last year.

Obviously, the dude was dinged by Major League Baseball for taking steroids in 2022. He was suspended by the league for 80 games after being caught with a banned substance in his system.

We were all shocked and disappointed by it. Nobody wants to see anyone cheating the system — especially one of the best players in baseball. But it happened. The Padres issued a statement on it. Tatis accepted it.

But not everyone is apparently ready to move on. A minor league pitcher called Tatis a cheater after he hit a homerun during a rehab assignment. And, now, you’ve even got Cubs fans coming at him.

During a Padres matchup against Tatis, fans began chanting “cheater” at him while he was in the outfield. It was extremely petty.

But Tatis didn’t care. The dude just started vibing out and dancing. It was hilarious.

My guy was having a great time, man.

Good for him, man. Enough is enough. He got caught. He didn’t win anything and he also didn’t play baseball. He’s done his time and paid the price. We can all move on now.

Besides, Cubs fans have some nerve. Isn’t Sammy Sosa their guy? We can’t pick and choose who we like and don’t like for this stuff. That’s not how this works.

Anyway, shoutout to Tatis. Hope he has a great season.

Manny Machado made a little MLB spring training history with a pitch clock violation and he had the best reaction to it

Going to have to speed things up a bit, Manny.

Rules are rules, y’all. But sometimes, rules kind of suck.

That’s probably what Manny Machado is thinking right now. He became the first player to fall victim to one of baseball’s newest rules.

The pitch clock got him, folks.

Baseball has added a pitch clock — along with 5 other new rules — to its game this season. The clock was added in hopes of speeding the game up. Pitchers only have a set amount of time to actually make their pitch now.

Obviously, batters are a huge part of that. They have to be prepared and ready to take the pitch. As part of the new rules, so they don’t slow the pitcher down, the batter has to be ready and engaged with the pitcher in the first 8 seconds of the clock or else they’ll be handed a strike.

Guess who wasn’t ready within the first 8 seconds? Manny. Machado.

The umpire pointed down to his watch to signal that Machado took too long and then he handed him a strike. He found himself down 0-1 in the at-bat. He made up for it by hitting a single, but this was just kind of bizarre to watch. Not because it’s a bad rule, but because it’s so new.

Machado’s reaction to his violation was priceless, too. He was asked about being the first to be called for the violation and he let us know this absolutely will not be the last time.

“I’m going to have to make a big adjustment. I might be 0-1 down a lot this year, man. It’s super fast. It’s definitely adjustment period there’s going to be. But I went down in the history books.”

Great answer, Manny. Probably not the history anyone wants to be known for, but he certainly won’t be the only one for very long.

It’s going to be a weird season, y’all. Buckle in.

Aaron Judge bet on himself with the Yankees and it quite literally paid off in the biggest way

When betting on yourself goes right

Aaron Judge will remain a New York Yankee for the next 9 years after reportedly agreeing to a new $360 million deal with the team.

One could argue that it’s a bad decision on his part, but it’s his decision. He wanted to remain in New York and they opened up the checkbook making it pretty easy for him to do so.

It seems like a no-brainer signing Judge to this massive deal now. He smashed 62 home runs last season on his way to winning the American League MVP trophy. That dude is an absolute baller.

The Yankees apparently didn’t always think he was this good, though. They offered him a 7-year, $213 million contract offer during Spring Training of last season that Judge was disappointed by.

So what does he do? He bets on himself. And it pays off in a major way to the tune of an extra two years on the deal, another $146.5 million and the highest average annual value in Major League Baseball at $40 million.

He broke Mike Trout’s AAV record by nearly $5 million, per Dennis Lin and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Judge’s deal, which is pending a physical, gives him the highest average annual value for a position player in major-league history, shattering Mike Trout’s previous mark of $35.5 million by almost $5 million. The deal is two years longer and worth $146.5 million more than the seven-year, $213.5 million extension offer Judge rejected from the Yankees at the end of spring training.

This is what betting on yourself looks like. It’s all about leverage. Not only did Judge have a phenomenal season last year, but he also had suitors in his pocket already in the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.

He even flew to San Diego at the last minute to make a decision, which put enough pressure on the Yankees to bump up their initial offer to $360 million.

That’s what leverage looks like, folks. And that’s how you use it. Judge wanted to be a Yankee in the end. He got his wish and he got that cash. That’s a win.

Betting on yourself can go terribly sometimes. Things might not work out. But when they do? Whew boy, they work well.

Just take it from Aaron Judge here.

Josh Allen and his girlfriend were taking the most adorable selfie at the NLCS before FOX’s cameras rudely interrupted them

Never put a camera on somebody while they’re taking a selfie. Never.

Ban celebrity camera shots at sporting events. Just ban them.

OK. Maybe don’t completely ban them. They’re fun sometimes, but mostly when the people the cameras are pointing to are actually expecting it. Otherwise, we tend to run up on some pretty awkward moments.

Josh Allen just found that out the hard way at the Padres-Phillies game on Wednesday night.

Allen and his girlfriend, Brittany Williams, were taking a regular ol’ selfie in their suite at the game. Williams is making the classic duckface. Allen is just cheesing because, duh, that’s what you have to do as the spouse. Allen knows that. He’s a selfie pro.  Gotta make it nice for Instagram.

Anyway, they’re taking their picture. Then, BOOM. Just like that, FOX has a camera on them mid-selfie. We got this shot from it.

It’s fine. It’s cool. They didn’t even really know this happened. But y’all know how it gets when someone walks in on you taking a selfie. It’s awkward. Nobody likes that. The picture is literally ruined even if it’s not.

This time, though, it’s literally a national broadcast just peeking in on the extremely vulnerable mid-selfie moment. RUDE.

Hopefully, the picture came out nicely.

Dodger fans trolled the Padres about Fernando Tatis’ suspension by throwing an inflatable PED on the field

Dodgers fans are TROLLS.

Baseball fans, man. You’d think they’d be just as chill as their favorite sport is. Nope. Quite the opposite.

We’ve seen some wild fan behavior this season. Not in a bad way, necessarily. But definitely in a weird way.

For example, remember the dude who drank through a hot dog straw? I wonder if he’s been jailed for that. Or how about the 11-year-old White Sox fan who ran on the field? Man, just five more years and he’s probably getting tackled like it’s NFL Sunday.

See what I mean? Weird behavior. Also hilarious behavior, too. We have something else to add to that list now.

Dodgers fans were absolutely ruthless in their trolling of the Padres after Fernando Tatis’ suspension. He’s out for 80 games because he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. Obviously a devastating blow to a deep that had aspirations for making a deep playoff run at the very least.

So what did Dodgers fans do? Remind them of their misery by throwing a giant inflatable PED on the field.

TROLOLOLOLOL. That’s so wild, y’all. And then the nerve to do this while they’re actually down 4-0 in the game, too? That’s hilarious.

Fans thought this was great.
