NFL fans loved the classy postgame exchange that Travis Kelce and Chris Jones had with Joe Burrow

True sportsmanship between rivals.

Over the past few seasons, the Chiefs and Bengals have formed a rivalry that you don’t normally see from teams competing in different divisions. But the frequent playoff matchups and key regular season games will do that.

Yet, despite the bulletin-board material we’ve heard from those teams over the years, the respect is undeniable. That was on display following the Chiefs’ division-clinching win against the Bengals on Sunday.

Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Chris Jones made sure to catch up with Joe Burrow and wish him well on his recovery from wrist surgery. (Warning: Some NSFW language in the video).

Jones also greeted Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning and told him that he was a warrior.

That was the kind of sportsmanship that NFL fans loved seeing on display.

Video appears to show Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift kissing on New Year’s as 2024 arrives

Looks like the couple shared a beautiful kiss after midnight.

We’ve seen Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift kiss before back when her Eras Tour concert in Argentina was finished, and now we might have gotten a second smooch to see.

These videos snapped at a New Year’s party are blurry, so we can’t fully say it’s the Kansas City Chiefs tight end (although it REALLY looks like him) and the singer/songwriter (it’s hard to see her face in any of these). But it sure looks like Kelce and Swift sharing a beautiful kiss after midnight, just hours after she watched the tight end play in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals:

The best photos of Taylor Swift ringing in the new year while watching Chiefs – Bengals

Taylor Swift was in attendance for Travis Kelce’s last football game in 2023.

It’s the last day of 2023 and of course Taylor Swift wasn’t going to miss beau Travis Kelce’s final game of the year.

Swift was in attendance — wearing a suspiciously familiar letter jacket — for Sunday’s Week 17 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals. The AFC rivalry game was set to be highly contested as the Bengals fight for their playoff lives with their backs against the wall.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, were looking to break out of a slump of losing three of their last four games, including a rough Christmas Day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders with Swift in attendance.

With 2024 just around the corner, here are the best photos of Swift cheering on Kelce during Chiefs-Bengals.

Fans thought Taylor Swift wore Travis Kelce’s Christmas letterman jacket to Chiefs’ NYE game

This jacket certainly looks familiar

Taylor Swift is spending her New Year’s Eve in Kansas City watching the Chiefs take on the Cincinnati Bengals and she arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in style on Sunday.

Swift entered the building rocking a sleek Kansas City letterman jacket that, hey, wait a minute…that actually looks pretty familiar.

Didn’t we just see Travis Kelce wearing this jacket on Christmas? Is Taylor taking fashion advice from the tight end or is this just a crazy clothier coincidence? At the very least, it’s probably a good thing the couple appreciates each other’s outfits enough to play copycat. At most it’s another delightful moment in the spotlight for the two.

One thing we can pretty safely say is that they are not wearing the same exact jacket as many fans thought when Swift arrived. Check out the stripping on the bottom. It’s close, but not identical.

That sound you hear now is quite a few narratives evaporating. But it’s probably for the best. Things don’t tend to go too well for NFL teams who wear letterman jackets. The Chiefs lost on Christmas to the Las Vegas Raiders and — most infamously — the New England Patriots made the Houston Texans look like actual high schoolers for daring to wear letterman jackets to Gillette Stadium in 2012.

Will Taylor Swift be at Bengals – Chiefs to cheer on Travis Kelce on New Year’s Eve? UPDATE: YES!

Will Taylor Swift be at Bengals – Chiefs on New Year’s Eve?

Up until recently, we’ve seen people tracking Taylor Swift’s planes to see if she’s showing up to Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games to cheer on the tight end.

But one Instagram account that has been doing that is gone, not that it would matter for Sunday — Kelce and the Chiefs are playing at home in Kansas City, and if Swift has been there with Kelce all week to celebrate the holidays, then she wouldn’t be flying anywhere.

What we can rely on are reports from earlier in the month that Swift would spend Christmas (which she did) and New Year’s Eve at Kelce’s games. So there’s that! We’ll see if that’s the case later.

Update: Yup!

Kylie Kelce tries to convince husband Jason to get a cat by alluding to Taylor Swift’s influence on Travis Kelce

Get the cat, Jason. Get the cat.

There was a bonus episode of Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast that dropped on Friday, and it was dubbed the “family edition.” Both parents — Ed and Donna Kelce — of the NFL stars made appearances, and Jason’s wife, Kylie, joined in on the fun.

While Travis Kelce’s new girlfriend Taylor Swift didn’t make her podcast debut, she was present through conversation. Swift is a well-documented cat lover, and Kylie hinted at how Swift may have converted Travis, as she tried to make her case for getting a cat. (She also hilariously reminded Travis about what will happen if he ever sends them something with a heartbeat.)

“I feel like you might like cats now,” Kylie said with a sly expression near the end of the episode.

We aren’t sure if they’ll be able to sway Jason and get a cat, but Swifties and fans of the Kelces loved the moment.

Taylor Swift fans are speculating a guest appearance on Travis Kelce’s holiday New Heights special

The holiday special will be a star-studded affair no matter what.

Travis and Jason Kelce are releasing a bonus holiday episode of their popular podcast, New Heights, this Friday. The NFL brother duo teased the special on this week’s regular episode, and they are calling it the “family edition.”

“We got a guest episode coming up
for you 92 percenters for being so loyal and tuning in every single week and being such fans of the Kelce household, we have a Kelce family year end holiday spectacular,” Travis stated.

The episode will likely include appearances by parents Ed Kelce and Donna Kelce, Jason’s wife, Kylie, and hopefully Jason and Kylie’s adorable daughters.

But could the holiday spectacular feature another popular guest? Taylor Swift has been dating Travis Kelce for several months, attending games and being seen out with him when the pair finally get a night off. Some fans of Swift are wondering if the 12-time Grammy winner might stop by.

It’s likely a long shot, but what a way to end 2023 that would be.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes details his handling of recent frustrations

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes broke down his midset amid his recent sideline frustrations.

The Kansas City Chiefs have dealt with various issues this season that have cost them games they have usually won in past seasons. The losses have created unrest on the sidelines this year and called into question the team’s mindset heading into the postseason.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been at the center of the attention regarding sideline outbursts. He explained his stance on showing frustration in public during his press conference on Wednesday.

“I think you motivate in a lot of different ways,” Mahomes explained. “I’m trying my best to be positive and keep the guys going in the right direction. But I mean, you catch me sometimes on the sideline; I look frustrated. I think a lot of guys are frustrated that we’re losing. But at the same time, you got to have the right message and know that the guys know that I believe in him. And I do. And now, it’s just about how we can utilize our situation and make it a positive going into this next week.”

Mahomes and Travis Kelce were shown on television visibly frustrated on the sidelines during Monday’s loss.

“I think you see people see frustration, and they think it causes controversy,” Mahomes said. “But I see it as a way of showing that people care. They care about their profession; they care about trying to do whatever they can to win games, and so when I see stuff like that happen, obviously we want to be in the positive light and everything like that. But I see someone who cares about the game and someone who wants to be better and not better for themselves but for the team.”

The Chiefs hope to use the frustration as additional fuel heading into their matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. The game will serve as the final game of the regular season homestand.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce addresses sideline helmet throw vs. Raiders

#Chiefs TE Travis Kelce addressed his sideline helmet throw incident against the #Raiders on his “New Heights” podcast.

Tempers flared on the Kansas City Chiefs sideline during their Christmas day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16. Star tight end Travis Kelce was seen throwing his helmet during a particularly frustrating moment in the game that stood out among other signs of discontent on Kansas City’s bench.

Kelce addressed the helmet-toss incident on his New Heights podcast with his brother, fellow NFL veteran Jason Kelce. The All-Pro pass catcher didn’t make any excuses for his behavior and was apologetic in responding to Jason’s question about what happened.

“I didn’t go back out there and play good,” Travis explained. “He [head coach Andy Reid] wanted to see the fire in me, and I reacted in a bad way. He wanted to get the best out of me. Right now, I’m not playing my best football… As a leader on this team, that’s not how you switch momentum.”

Fans will certainly appreciate Travis’ frustration with the Chiefs’ performance against the Raiders on Monday, and his contrite response to the incident on the sideline.

With just two weeks of the 2023 regular season remaining, the time for Kansas City and Travis Kelce to clean up their acts is now, lest they lose out and squander their opportunity to compete in January’s playoffs.
