[autotag]Malcolm Johnson Jr.[/autotag] is the latest to enter, joining [autotag]Omari Kelly[/autotag] and [autotag]Jyaire Shorter[/autotag], according to a report from Auburn Undercover’s Nathan King.

Johnson signed with Auburn as a member of the 2020 recruiting class under Gus Malzahn. He was the No. 212 overall player and No. 38 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite ranking.

The trio of Kelly, Shorter and Johnson are the only offensive players to enter the portal so far with defensive linemen [autotag]Stephen Johnson[/autotag], [autotag]Enyce Sledge[/autotag] and Jack linebacker [autotag]Stephen Sings V[/autotag] having also entered.

Oklahoma loses former defensive end starter to the transfer portal

The Oklahoma Sooners lose a former starting defensive end to the transfer portal.

Another former highly touted recruit for the Oklahoma Sooners hit the [autotag]transfer portal[/autotag] on Monday. This time it was defensive end [autotag]Reggie Grimes[/autotag].

Grimes spent four years in Norman; he tallied 43 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. Grimes showed flashes, especially during the 2022 season when he was a starter.

He opened that season with four sacks and five tackles for loss. The only problem is he only had one-half sack and 2.5 tackles for loss the rest of the season. He lost his starting job to [autotag]Rondell Bothroyd[/autotag] this season and ended up playing in four games as a role player.

With Grimes only playing four games, he has two years of eligibility remaining for wherever he decides to transfer.

Another Oklahoma running back enters the transfer portal

The hits continue as the Oklahoma Sooners lose another one to the transfer portal.

Transfer portal season is here. The Oklahoma Sooners had several players enter their names into the portal on Monday. The Sooners have lost three running backs to the [autotag]transfer portal[/autotag]. [autotag]Marcus Major[/autotag] made his announcement earlier Monday.

Major came in as a highly touted running back from Oklahoma City, but injuries held him back. He came back this season and started for much of the year before getting injured once again.

Major finished his Oklahoma career with 194 carries for 833 yards and eight touchdowns. Major has one year remaining and will be a sixth-year senior wherever he decides to go next.

Most likely, this leaves the Sooners with [autotag]Gavin Sawchuk[/autotag], [autotag]Jovantae Barnes[/autotag], [autotag]Kalib Hicks[/autotag] and [autotag]Emeka Megwa[/autotag] for the bowl game.

Florida tight end Andrew Savaiinaea enters transfer portal

The latest Gator to announce his decision to transfer from the University of Florida is offensive lineman turned tight end Andrew Savaiinaea.

Florida continues to lose players to the transfer portal, including depth tight end [autotag]Andrew Savaiinaea[/autotag].

The offensive lineman turned tight end announced his decision on Sunday.

“First, I’d like to give all glory to man above for putting me in the position I am today. I am grateful for the opportunity, memories and relationships that I’ve created here at the University of Florida. I want to thank Coach Napier and the rest of the staff for giving me this opportunity and all who have coached me,” Savaiinaea said in a social media post.

“Also want to thank all those at Hawkins and GatorMade as well. After careful consideration and prayer, I have decided to enter my name in the transfer portal. Thank you Gator Nation!”

Undergraduates are able to enter the portal officially beginning Monday, Dec. 4.

Savaiinaea made the transition from the line to tight end when Billy Napier took over as head coach and asked players to fill in some depth. Unfortunately, a depth piece is all Savaiinaea ever was for the Gators. He redshirted in 2022 and made no appearances during the 2023 season.

Georgia football DE enters transfer portal

The first day of the NCAA’s transfer portal was an eventful one for Georgia football. Redshirt freshman defensive end C.J. Madden is among the latest to announce his likely departure from Athens, Georgia.

The former four-star prospect out of Ellenwood, Georgia, entered the transfer portal on Monday, marking the sixth Bulldog to enter the portal.

Madden came to Athens as the No. 16 edge nationally and the No. 18 player in the state of Georgia in the 2022 recruiting class.

After redshirting his freshman season, Madden appeared in seven games in 2023, totaling three tackles. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Ohio State football transfer portal tracker

We keep track of all the comings and goings of Ohio State players in and out of the transfer portal with our transfer portal tracker. #GoBucks

‘Tis the season. Normally that means the Christmas season, but in the brave, new and sometimes shocking world of college football, it also means it’s time to peer into the transfer portal.

Monday is the first day the portal is officially open, and, boy, have we had a wave of Ohio State players enter during the first hours.

Frankly, it’s a lot to keep track of, and it’s the first season in which this many Buckeyes have hit the portal. With the flurry of activity, we are doing our part and keeping track of which Ohio State players have declared and entered into the gift that keeps on giving — or taking — depending on how you look at it.

We’ll continue to update this as news hits both incoming and outgoing players zooming in and out of the portal. Here’s where things stand in real time as we can get to it.

Manuel is first offensive player to hit transfer portal

Devon Manuel became the first offensive player to enter the transfer portal on Monday afternoon.

On Monday afternoon, Devon Manuel became the first player from the Arkansas offense to announce he was entering the transfer portal.

Manuel, a former 3-star recruit from Sunset, La., played sparingly in 2023 as he battled injuries but still managed to find his way on the field for nine games.

He also struggled with weight gain when he arrived on campus, and had to slim down in order to earn reps.

His offers out of high school included Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas and Michigan State.

With Arkansas replacing his position coach in Cody Kennedy with Eric Mateos and having already added a lineman in former Michigan State OT Keyshawn Blackstock, it only made sense for Manuel to explore other options.

Georgia State WR Robert Lewis earns Auburn offer

Lewis caught 70 passes for 877 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023.

One of the Sun Belt Conference’s leading receivers has entered the transfer portal, and Auburn has quickly extended an offer.

[autotag]Robert Lewis[/autotag], Georgia State’s leading receiver in 2023, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he has received an offer from Auburn on the opening day of the transfer portal.

Auburn has been busy since the transfer portal opened, as they have extended an offer to three prospects at the time of this post.

Lewis has been a vital part of the Georgia State receiving corps over the last two seasons. He was the Panthers’ second-leading receiver last season with 379 yards and six touchdowns. Only Jamari Thrash, who transferred to Louisville following the 2022 season, had more catches, yards, and touchdowns.

He became Georgia State quarterback Darren Grainger’s top target in 2023 by reeling in 70 passes for 877 yards and seven scores, which is seventh-highest in the Sun Belt Conference. He was vital to Georgia State’s success, as the Panthers are preparing to play Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

The receiving unit is one that Auburn will look to upgrade this season. The 2024 recruiting class will aid that effort drastically as five-star receivers [autotag]Perry Thompson[/autotag] and [autotag]Cam Coleman[/autotag] are currently committed to Auburn. However, having experience within the unit will make the offense better. Extending an offer to Lewis is a great start.

Georgia football OL enters transfer portal

Georgia football OL enters transfer portal

Another Georgia Bulldog has entered the NCAA transfer portal, which officially opened on Monday and will remain open for 30 days.

Redshirt junior offensive lineman Austin Blaske announced his decision to transfer on Monday via X, formerly known as Twitter.

Blaske joins five other Bulldogs that have already announced transfer intentions:

Blaske, a former three-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting class, missed most of the 2023 season due to injuries after earning the starting left tackle role in the preseason.

The Faulkville, Georgia, native will have two years of eligibility remaining due to the COVID-19 year.

Georgia will continue to assess its roster this offseason.
