Detroit Lions Matthew Stafford has now thrown a TD pass against all 31 NFL opponents

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has now thrown a touchdown pass against all 31 teams in the NFL.

It took until his twelfth season, and three different games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has now thrown a touchdown pass against all 31 opponents in the NFL.

Earlier this week in a virtual interview, Stafford was told that despite being 2-0 in his career against the Jaguars, they were the only team in the NFL that he had not thrown a touchdown pass on.

When asked if that provided any extra motivation for him to find the endzone this week, Stafford quickly responded:

“Yeah, that needs to happen for sure.”

And in the third quarter, it did indeed happen.

On the Lions second possession of the second half, the Jaguars jumped offsides, giving Stafford a free play, and he targeted Kenny Golladay 48-yards downfield, securing the catch inside the 10-yard line. Another pass to Golladay got the Lions to the one-yard line, and after two incompletions, the Lions decided to go for it on fourth down.

A simple rub route opened up T.J. Hockenson underneath and Stafford completed his 265th career touchdown pass:

Stafford doesn’t typically get caught up in individual achievements, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate the achievement. When he closed his media session this week, he wrapped it up by saying:

“Yeah, we need to make that happen… that’d be great. I’d love to have that on the tombstone one day or something.”

WATCH: Jaylen Waddle scores 91-yd TD to give Alabama lead

Alabama WR Jaylen Waddle scores on a 91-yard pass and catch to give Alabama the lead over No. 3 Georgia.

Though Alabama opened the second half down by four, it felt like much, much more. The defecit has been erased, and Alabama has taken the ead thanks a massive catch-and-run by Jaylen Waddle.

A pass by Mac Jones found Waddle, fresh off of a handsy defensive back, for a 91-yard touchdown.

TheCrimson Tide defense has struggled to stop Georgia’s ground game, as well as their Stetson Bennett IV’s passing attack.

Mac Jones has kept Alabama in the game, offensively, since Najee Harris’ impact has been minimal due to Georgia’s nationally recognized defense.

Waddle now has 161 yards and one touchdown off of six receptions.

The Crimson Tide now leads 27-24 with a quarter and a half remaining in the game.

WATCH: Alabama scores first with John Metchie III 40-yard TD

Alabama’s redshirt freshman WR John Metchie III scores first points of the game with a 40-yard touchdown thrown by Mac Jones.

Alabama’s redshirt-freshman wide receiver reeled in a 40-yard touchdown pass from Mac Jones to score the first points of the highy anticipated contest.

No. 2 Alabama enters the game with the highest scoring offense in the nation, and No 3 Georgia with the highly-praised defense, limiting opponents to an average of just over 12 points per game.

After an early interception thrown by Jones on the first snap of the game, Justin Eboigbe came down with an interception a few plays later, which helped set up the 40-yard touchdown pass.

Metchi is the young star in the Crimson Tide’s receiving corps. he has filled in the big shoes left behind by Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy well as an underclassman.

Alabama holds an early lead thanks to Metchie’s touchdown.

Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf knows he’s among best in NFL

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf scored the winning touchdown for the team Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings Week 5.

There is no denying Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf had himself quite the game Sunday night, scoring the winning touchdown to help the team advance to a perfect 5-0 season start for the first time in franchise history.

On the night, Metcalf was the Seahawks leading receiver, logging six receptions for 93 yards and two touchdowns. But does he feel like he stacks up with some of the best of the best around the league?

“It’s a blessing to be in a category like that or for that question to even pop up,” Metcalf said after the win. “In my mind, I feel like I’m getting to that point. There are still people in this league that I look up to like Deandre Hopkins, Julio Jones, Mike Thomas, Odell Beckham Jr. They’re still great players in this league. Just to be up there with them, I know my work ethic and how I am as a player.

“I believe I’m in that realm, but I’ve still got a lot of work to do.”

Metcalf’s play is certainly not fool-proof, as anyone who’s witnessed his drops can attest, but the sophomore is well on his way to being one of the most impressive receivers in the NFL this year, and hopefully, for years to come.

WATCH: Elliott does his thing, calms down Cowboys and scores TD

Ezekiel Elliott scores a touchdown to bring the Dallas Cowboys within seven against the New York Giants in the second quarter.

It took a quarter and a half but the Dallas Cowboys offense has scored a touchdown on the back of running back Ezekiel Elliott, the one-yard run capping off a 14-play, 75 yard drive to cut the lead of the New York Giants to seven points.

The long drive was a sorely needed salve for a team that can’t stop shooting itself in the foot in the first quarter. After the first drive that nobody saw due to a CBS black out stalled deep in the red zone, the Dallas defense allowed a touchdown. And then quarterback Dak Prescott sailed a pass over the head of Elliott that resulted in a pick six.

Elliott already has 45 yards on the day but it’s taken him 12 carries to do so, leaving him with a less than stellar 3.8 yards per carry.

Alabama senior running back Najee Harris is putting on a show against Ole Miss. For the third time tonight, he has found his way into the end zone, this time with a 3-yard rushing touchdown.

What a game Harris has had against Ole Miss.

So far, Harris has 16 carries for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns.

And it’s still the third quarter.

It seems as though he’s just getting warmed up.

With plenty of game left, there’s no telling how many more times Harris will find his way into the end zone for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Last season, Harris’ role became more dominant on offense, especially after Tua Tagovailoa suffered a season-ending injury. Harris finished the season with 1,224 yards rushing on 209 carries. He had a career-best 13 touchdowns.

It will be exciting to see what Jones, Harris and the Crimson Tide can do this season.
