LeBron’s SpringHill Company featured as Fast Company’s most innovative

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and his business partner Maverick Carter formed The SpringHill Company under one name in 2020.

While LeBron James brought a 17th championship to Los Angeles in 2020 and added to his own championship count with four, he also accomplished a different type of championship earlier in the year when he unified his branding and media businesses under one umbrella, The SpringHill Company. In the process, SpringHill raised an additional $100 million and their work has been seen across nearly every streaming service and also worked to make an impact on the 2020 election.

Because of their massive commercial success as well as their strong track record of hiring a diverse staff and presenting diverse points of view, Fast Company selected SpringHill as one of the most innovative companies in 2021, with LeBron on the cover.

Carter has been just as intentional with how he’s grown SpringHill itself, hiring people from myriad backgrounds who understand sports and storytelling to develop content that resonates in the culture. “Every day we have to come up with the best ideas in the world,” Carter says. “In order to do that, we need people from all over the world, who have different points of view, feelings, sensibilities, emotions, and aesthetics, but who are all striving toward the same thing, which is empowering each other, consumers, and creators we get to work with. If you consistently have the same people that all went to these four or five schools, who grew up in these [same] parts of the country, how can you ever get to amazing ideas?”

SpringHill has a big 2021 on deck, with “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” being at the top of the list.

LeBron James released new Space Jam promotion with Bugs Bunny

LeBron James and Bugs Bunny released a new video on Monday featuring a new video game that will be included on the XBOX game pass.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has already made his debut on the movie screen but as the star of the upcoming ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy,” he will have even more riding on the success of the reboot of the 1996 classic “Space Jam,” featuring Michael Jordan. James, whose SpringHill Company has a deal with Warner Bros., gave fans a taste of what is to come in a new ad campaign with Bugs Bunny. LeBron and Bugs announced a type of video game included on the XBOX Game Pass inspired by “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” The new video was released on Monday.

LeBron was back in the studio earlier this month as he had a couple of scenes and responsibilities to finish up to help complete the film. James also discussed a little bit about the plot of the new Space Jam, which will center on LeBron playing a game with the Looney Toons but also his journey as a father.

Juancho Hernangomez starring in LeBron James, Adam Sandler production

LeBron’s SpringHill Company is working with Sandler’s Happy Madison on creating a Basketball themed movie for Netflix.

The teams colloquially known as the “Delete Eight,” who were not invited to the NBA Bubble, are all having some form of training camp at their respective facilities. This was approved by the NBA due to concerns from those teams that they would have to go nearly a year without playing basketball as a group while the other 22 teams invited to the bubble were able to play some organized hoops. However, being that it is September, not all teams have a full collection of players. One of those teams is the Minnesota Timberwolves, but LeBron James has a connection to one of their notable absences.

According to Chris Hine of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnesota’s Juancho Hernangomez is not in camp with his team because he’s on set for the movie “Hustle,” starring Adam Sandler and produced by LeBron James’ SpringHill Company in collaboration with Sandler’s Happy Madison.

Hernangomez, who is originally from Spain, is filming the movie in Philadelphia. Sandler is starring in the movie as a basketball talent scout that currently finds himself outside the country, before discovering a “once-in-a-lifetime” player abroad.
