March Madness: Michigan vs. Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Michigan vs. Texas A&M odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 5 seed Michigan Wolverines (26-9) and the No. 4 seed Texas A&M Aggies (23-10) meet Saturday at Ball Arena in Denver in an NCAA Tournament South Region second-round game. Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 5:15 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Michigan vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

It was the definition of ‘survive and advance’ Thursday night for Michigan, as the Wolverines edged past NCAA Tournament debutant UC San Diego, 68-65, as 2-point favorites, while the Under (143.5) cashed. The books anticipated a close game, and that’s exactly what we got.

C Vladislav Goldin led the Maize and Blue with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while G Tre Donaldson contributed 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. F Danny Wolf finished with 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots.

In the postseason, Michigan is a perfect 4-0 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS), while splitting the Over/Under (O/U) 2-2. This marks a stark contrast to the end of the regular season, when the Wolverines lost 3 straight to close the campaign, went 0-4 ATS in their final 4 games, and 2-13 ATS over their last 15 outings.

Texas A&M topped Yale 80-71 as a 7-point favorite in Thursday’s opener, while the Over (141) hit. F Pharrel Payne came off the bench to lead the team with a career-high 25 points on an efficient 10-of-12 shooting, including 5-of-6 from downtown. He also added 10 rebounds for a double-double. G Wade Taylor led the starters with 16 points, the only member of the starting 5 to score in double digits.

The Aggies are still just 3-5 SU/ATS in the past 8 games, while the Over is on a 6-1 run.

These teams met in the Sweet 16 on March 22, 2018, with Michigan dominating Texas A&M 99-72 as a 1-point favorite, while the Over (144) hit.

Michigan vs. Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Michigan 73, Texas A&M 70

Moneyline

MICHIGAN (+125) is the lean in what should be another very close game.

Texas A&M topped Yale, but the jury is still out for both teams, to be honest. Neither was particularly impressive in the first round. The Aggies needed a career game from Payne to save it from an embarrassing loss to a Yale team with zero NIL dollars.

However, the Wolverines will need to improve on their 42.1% shooting (24 of 57) from the field and be much more efficient at the free-throw line after hitting just 55.0% (11 of 20), which made the game closer than it needed to be.

Against the spread

MICHIGAN +2.5 (-105) is worth a play, catching the bucket and change if you don’t fully trust it SU and want a little wiggle room.

This should be a tight game with Texas A&M, a team that did not play its best game against Yale. However, we didn’t see a great outing from the Wolverines, either.

Over/Under

OVER 141.5 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at best.

Michigan left a lot of points on the floor with 9 missed free-throw attempts in its first-round game. That’s a concern for Over bettors, as the Wolverines ranked 201st in the nation, shooting just 71.7% from the charity stripe this season. It can be frustrating when you’re sweating the Over late, counting down the points.

However, Texas A&M has hit high in 6 of the past 7, and we should see a much more lively pace from both teams than we saw in Round 1.

March Madness: Yale vs. Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Yale vs. Texas A&M odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 13 seed Yale Bulldogs (22-7) and the No. 4 seed Texas A&M Aggies (22-10) meet Thursday at Ball Arena in Denver in an NCAA Tournament South Region first-round game. Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 7:25 p.m. ET (TBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Yale vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Bulldogs won the Ivy League title, easing past the Cornell Big Red 90-84 as 5-point favorites as the Over (159) connected. Yale has won 16 of the past 17 games since Jan. 1, with the lone loss coming at the Harvard Crimson on March 1. The Elis are just 4-5 ATS in the past 9 games. The Under is 5-1 across the past 6 outings.

G John Poulakidas led the way with 19.2 points per game (PPG), while F Nick Townsend was good for 15.4 PPG and 7.2 RPG. G Bez Mbeng can do a little bit of everything, too, going for 13.4 PPG, 5.6 APG and 5.5 RPB with a team-best 1.9 steals per game.

Yale didn’t face an SEC team this season, but it had its season ended by one last year. It lost 71-62 at the Vanderbilt Commodores on March 14, 2024, as a 4-point underdog as the Under (147.5) cashed.

A&M was shown the door in its first SEC Tournament game against the Texas Longhorns, falling 94-89 in OT as a 6-point favorite. The Over (140.5) easily came through, with G Wade Taylor posting a game-high 29 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. He was 17-of-18 from the free-throw line, too.

The Aggies have dropped 5 of the past 7 games since Feb. 18, while also going 2-5 against the spread (ATS), a big reason why bracketheads are picking Yale as a sexy upset possibility. The Over is 5-1 in the past 6 games for Texas A&M.

This is Texas A&M’s first Ivy League opponents since facing Harvard on a neutral floor in 2019, a 62-51 loss at the HP Field House near Walt Disney World in Florida.

Yale vs. Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas A&M 75, Yale 72

Moneyline

Texas A&M (-350) will make the bracket nerds sweat in Round 1. For betting purposes, you cannot risk 3 1/2 times your potential return. While this is a No. 4 seed against a No. 13 seed, the books believe it will play more like a No. 7 against a No. 10 seed. They’re expecting a close one, and so are we.

PASS.

Against the spread

YALE +8.5 (-115) catching more than 4 buckets is a strong play, but know you’ll be going with the public. That’s usually a scary proposition, and Joey Public rarely wins and cleans up against the books.

Still, Texas A&M -8.5 (-115) was a dismal 2-5 SU/ATS in the final 7 games, and it cannot be trusted against the likes of a 3-headed monster like Yale Basketball. This isn’t your dad’s Yale team. This is a fun, exciting and offensively-gifted side.

Over/Under

OVER 139.5 (-105) is a strong play here.

The Over has cashed in 5 of the past 6 games for the Aggies, while going 4-2 on a neutral floor this season.

For the Elis, though, the Under is 5-1 in the past 6 outings. However, this Yale side has averaged 81.7 PPG this season, while hitting 49.0% from the field to rank 11th in the country. On threes, Yale ranks 10th at 38.8%.

Texas vs. Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Texas vs. Texas A&M odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Texas A&M Aggies (22-9) meet the Texas Longhorns (18-14) Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament. Tip from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Texas vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Texas A&M, which is No. 16 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, enters on a 2-game win streak. It closed out its regular season schedule with a 66-52 road win over the LSU Tigers Saturday, covering as a 7-point favorite. The Aggies have covered in just 2 of their last 6 games, but are 16-13-2 against the spread (ATS) on the season. They are the fifth seed in the SEC Tournament.

The Longhorns, who are the No. 13 seed in the tournament, beat the Vanderbilt Commodores 79-72 Wednesday, covering as a 2.5-point underdog. G Tramon Mark finished with 19 points on 5-for-8 shooting. Texas has won just 2 of its last 6 games, going 2-4 ATS. It is 14-16-1 ATS on the season.

These teams split the regular season matchups, with both winning at home. A&M won 80-60 on Jan. 4 while Texas won 70-69 on Jan. 25.

  • Over/Under (O/U): 138.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4132″ ]

Texas vs. Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas A&M 75, Texas 67

Moneyline

PASS.

The Aggies are the better side and have proven that this season, but they are too expensive (-230) to play on the moneyline. The Longhorns (+285) aren’t worth the upset play on their second game in as many days.

Against the spread

BET TEXAS A&M -6.5 (-110).

The Longhorns simply haven’t performed well for bettors over the last month. Since Feb. 5, they are just 2-8 ATS and 1-3 ATS when not at home. Texas is 2-3 ATS as an underdog in that span as well.

The Aggies, who had a late-season win over the No. 3 Auburn Tigers, have covered in 2 straight games and in 5 of their last 9. They are 2-2 ATS on the road and 3-2 ATS as a favorite in that span. A&M has allowed 72 or fewer points in 6 of its last 9 games, so it should defend well enough to separate itself in this one.

Back TEXAS A&M -6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 138.5 (-115).

The Aggies have gone Over in 4 of their last 5 games, and they have scored at least 83 points in 2 of their last 4 contests.

The Longhorns are 18-12-1 O/U and have gone Over in 10 of their last 11 games, including their first-round battle against the Commodores. They have scored at least 72 points in 4 of their last 5 games and have allowed at least 82 points in 4 of their last 6 contests.

Considering those trends, take OVER 138.5 (-115).

Auburn at Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Auburn at Texas A&M odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 1 Auburn Tigers (27-2, 15-1 SEC) and No. 21 Texas A&M Aggies (20-9, 9-7) meet Tuesday. Tip-off from Reed Arena in College Station is set for 9 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Auburn vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Auburn dominated the Kentucky Wildcats 94-78 Saturday, covering as a 4.5-point road favorite with the Over (166) hitting. G Miles Kelly erupted for 30 points and was 1 of 3 Auburn players who scored over 20. Auburn has won 6 straight.

Texas A&M lost 89-70 at the Florida Gators Saturday, while failing to cover as an 8.5-point underdog with the Over (149) cashing. Florida scored 44-plus points in each half vs. the Aggies, who have lost 4 straight.

Auburn at Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Auburn 83, Texas A&M 65

Moneyline

PASS.

Auburn is the much better team and will easily win here as a -200 favorite. However, it’s not worth the risk of betting on at this price. PASS, and bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

BET AUBURN -4.5 (-110).

Auburn has covered the spread in back-to-back games, while the Aggies have dropped 4 straight ATS. The Tigers are also 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games and 18-11 ATS this season, while TAMU is just 3-6-1 ATS in its last 10 and 14-13-2 ATS this year.

Texas A&M only averages 73.8 points per game (PPG), while Auburn averages 85.4, so look for Auburn’s offense to be too much for the Aggies to handle.

Be aware that the Aggies are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 152.5 (-115).

The Under has hit in 6 of the Aggies’ last 10 games and is 18-11 for the Aggies this season.

Both teams have great defenses, with Texas A&M allowing just 67.4 PPG and Auburn right behind at 68.8. Look for these defenses to be the key to the Under hitting.

This is a lean because the Over is 8-2 in Auburn’s last 10 games and 18-11 for the Tigers this season.

Texas A&M at Missouri odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Texas A&M at Missouri odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Texas A&M Aggies (17-5, 6-3 SEC) and Missouri Tigers (17-5, 6-3) get together in Columbia Saturday afternoon. The contest at Mizzou Arena will tip off at 3:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Texas A&M vs. Missouri odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Texas A&M and Missouri tote identical records into this conference showdown. The Aggies and Tigers are ranked 13th and 16th, respectively, in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll.

Texas A&M has been off since last Saturday (Feb. 1) when it edged South Carolina 76-72. The Aggies were tabbed as -5.5-point favorites in that one; the defensive-minded and strong-on-the-boards squad from College Station is just 1-5-1 against the spread (ATS) over its last 7 games.

Missouri played Wednesday, clocking an 85-81 setback at favored-by-9 Tennessee. That midweek game was on the road. The Tigers — a five that can bomb it from distance — figure to be happy to be back on home hardwood for this one. Mizzou, which lost its last 9 home games last season, is 15-0 at home in 2024-25.

Texas A&M at Missouri picks and predictions

Prediction

Missouri 77, Texas A&M 72

Moneyline

No interest. PASS.

Against the spread

Since the flip of the calendar year, Mizzou is 8-1 ATS. After its last 2 straight-up losses, the Tigers have bounced back with ATS wins. And Missouri’s highly efficient offense (ranked fourth in BartTorvik’s Adjusted Offensive Efficiency) has held up against quality foes.

Texas A&M yields a lot of 3’s; Mizzou makes triples at a hefty clip (38%–2nd NCAA I). The Aggies defense has been on the slide over recent weeks.

Consider a partial-unit play (slim margin here) on MISSOURI -4.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Over has cashed in 3 straight Mizzou games. The Tigers have not played a slew of talented offensive teams, and they can struggle in defending the perimeter.

Expect A&M to get plenty of put-back opportunities and both teams to spend a lot of time at the free-throw line. The OVER 144.5 (-115) is the value side of this SEC tilt.

Oklahoma at Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 75, Texas A&M 72

Moneyline

BET OKLAHOMA (+300).

Oklahoma has bounced back with poise after its 4-game losing streak Jan. 4-15. It has won back-to-back games, with its defense holding opponents to just 62 points in each victory. (It allowed 72-plus in each loss during the 4-game skid.)

Texas A&M has dropped 3 of its last 5 games, rightfully putting it on upset alert.

Against the spread

PASS.

If you are not as confident in the Sooners’ ability to win Tuesday, Sooners +8.5 (-110) is a much safer play. The Aggies are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, including 0-2 ATS in their last 2 at home.

Over/Under

BET OVER 143.5 (-115).

Texas A&M is 7-3 to the Under in its last 10 games; however, it has allowed 70 or more points in 4 of its last 6.

BET TEXAS (-118).

The Longhorns have been close to beating a few very good teams at home this month, losing to No. 7 Tennessee 74-70 Jan. 11, as well as No. 1 Auburn 87-82 Jan. 7. They have otherwise played well at home, beating Missouri Tuesday.

The Aggies have lost 2 of their last 3 games as underdogs and scored 69 or fewer points in 3 straight. They have allowed 78 or more points in 3 of their last 5. Texas A&M is 2-2 on the road this season and will be in a rowdy Moody Center Saturday.

Expect the home side to come out on top, and play TEXAS (-118).

Against the spread

PASS.

There’s no great reason to take the spread over the moneyline. Considering A&M won its last game by 1 and Texas has played SEC sides close at home, avoid this option, and play the moneyline for the better value.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 141.5 (-110).

The Aggies have been on fire for Under bettors over the last few weeks. Their defense has been electric, holding opponents to 62 or fewer points in 5 of their last 8 games. Texas A&M is 3-8 O/U in its last 11.

The Longhorns have gone Under in 2 straight games and in 4 of their last 7, scoring 70 or fewer points in 4 of their last 6. They have allowed 70 or fewer in 5 of their last 7 home games.

Back UNDER 141.5 (-110).

Texas A&M at Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Texas A&M at Ole Miss odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 13 Texas A&M Aggies (14-4, 3-2 SEC) and the No. 16 Ole Miss Rebels (15-3, 4-1) meet Wednesday at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion in Oxford, Miss. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The road team has won 4 consecutive regular-season meetings in the series, with Texas A&M posting a 5-1 against the spread (ATS) mark in the past 6 meetings. The Over has cashed in the past 2 meetings, but the Under is a dominant 7-3 across the past 10 games in the series since 2018.

The Aggies bounced back from a pair of losses to the Alabama Crimson Tide and Kentucky Wildcats, posting a 68-57 win against the LSU Tigers. However, Texas A&M has failed to cover in the past 3 games, it’s longest non-cover skid since going 0-5 ATS lastseason from Feb. 13-28, 2024.

Ole Miss was tripped up 84-81 on the road against their rival Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday, although the Rebels covered as a 6-point underdog. That splashed a little cold water on the team’s upset win at Alabama last Tuesday, as the Rebels won outright as a 12-point ‘dog.

Ole Miss is 5-0 ATS in the past 5 games, while going 12-3 ATS across the past 15 outings. The Under is 4-1 in the past 5 games, and 9-2 in the previous 11 contests.

Texas A&M at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 73, Texas A&M 67

Moneyline

Ole Miss (-175) is just a little too pricey for a battle of ranked teams, at least straight up. If you were to toss the Rebels into a multi-leg parlay, that’s OK.

There is plenty of risk with Texas A&M (+145), too, as it has dropped 2 of the past 3 outings.

PASS, as a straight up play.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread

OLE MISS -3.5 (-110) is worth playing, as the Rebels should be able to get the job done by at least 2 buckets.

Texas A&M +3.5 (-110) has failed to cover in its last 3 outings, while losing outright against its past 2 ranked opponents.

While the Aggies have covered 5 of the past 6 meetings and while the road team has won the past 4 regular-season games in this series, the Rebels are the team playing better right now.

Over/Under

UNDER 141.5 (-105) is worth playing lightly, but go with a half-unit play at most.

For Ole Miss, the Under has hit in 4 of the past 5 games, while the Under is 9-2 across the past 11 outings.

The Over has cashed in the past 2 meeting in this series. For Texas A&M, there isn’t much to glean from recent trends, as the Over-Under has split 3-3 in the past 6 games, and it is 1-1 in the past 2 road outings. Go low, but go lightly.

LSU at Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Texas A&M odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The LSU Tigers (12-5, 1-3 SEC) meet the No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies (13-4, 2-2) Saturday. Tip-off from Reed Arena in College Station is set for 8:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the LSU vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

LSU snapped a 3-game losing streak and got its first SEC win Tuesday, a 78-74 victory as a 1-point underdog vs. the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks as the Over (149.5) cashed. G Cam Carter led the charge with 27 points, and G Jordan Sears chipped in 17 off the bench.

Texas A&M’s been facing a tough stretch, taking on 3 ranked teams in a row. Most recently, it lost 81-69 at the No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats Tuesday, not covering as a 7-point underdog while the Under (156.5) hit. It got outmuscled inside, with Kentucky grabbing 40 rebounds compared to A&M’s 30. G Zhuric Phelps had a solid game, though, putting up 21 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

LSU at Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas A&M 77, LSU 65

Moneyline

PASS.

Texas A&M (-700) will get a much needed bounce-back victory at home Saturday, which is why I’ll take my wager to the spread.

Against the spread

BET TEXAS A&M -11.5 (-110).

LSU has been struggling lately, losing 3 of its last 4 games and failing to cover in all 3 losses. On the other hand, Texas A&M has been solid, covering 6 of its last 8 games and 4 of its last 5 at home.

The Aggies are coming off back-to-back losses to SEC powerhouses Alabama and Kentucky, but those tough games should help them as they move further into conference play.

Texas A&M isn’t flashy on offense, but its defense gets it done, holding teams to just 66.3 points per game. LSU’s 13.7 turnovers per game (2nd-worst in SEC) gives the Aggies a clear edge.

A&M has taken 3 of the last 4 against LSU, both outright and ATS. It’ll make it 4 of 5 Saturday.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 145.5 (-115).

The Under has hit in the last 4 meetings between LSU and Texas A&M. LSU has gone Under in 3 of its last 4 games, and the Aggies have hit the Under in 10 of 17 this season. Both teams are solid defensively, allowing under 70 points per game. With both ranking in the top 4 for steals in the SEC, defense will be a big factor, making the Under the way to go here.

Texas A&M at Kentucky odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Texas A&M at Kentucky odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats (13-3, 2-1 SEC) welcome the No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies (13-3, 2-1) to Rupp Arena Tuesday. Tip in the high-profile SEC clash is set for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Texas A&M vs. Kentucky odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Texas A&M, which is No. 11 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, had a 9-game winning streak snapped and suffered just its third loss of the season Saturday. The Aggies lost 94-88 at home to the No. 5 Alabama Crimson Tide, closing as a 3.5-point underdog. Texas A&M is 7-2-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 10 games and 10-5-1 ATS on the season.

Kentucky rebounded from a road loss to the Georgia Bulldogs and beat the No. 18 Mississippi State Bulldogs 95-90 Saturday, closing as a 5-point road underdog. The Wildcats have won and covered in 3 of their last 4 games. Kentucky is 8-7-1 ATS on the season.

Texas A&M at Kentucky picks and predictions

Prediction

Kentucky 84, Texas A&M 74

Moneyline

PASS.

The Wildcats have wins over top teams like the Florida Gators and Duke Blue Devils this season, so they should be able to come out on top at home. However, they aren’t worth the value to win outright here.

Against the spread

BET KENTUCKY -6.5 (-110).

The Wildcats are 5-4-1 ATS at home this season and have covered in 3 of their last 4, scoring at least 88 points in the 3 victories. Kentucky’s top 5 scorers all shoot over 30% from deep. It has the firepower to keep its attack potent.

The Aggies have scored well this season too, but they are coming off a loss to the Crimson Tide and will be without one of their top players, G Wade Taylor. The loss of their leading scoer (15.7 points per game) will alter how efficient their offense is. With that, back KENTUCKY -6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 159.5 (-115).

The Aggies will be without 1 of their 2 players who average in double figures. Texas A&M is just 3-5 O/U in its last 8 games and is 7-9 O/U on the season.

The Wildcats are 2-3 O/U in their last 5 games, allowing 80 or fewer points in 10 of their last 16 games. Kentucky has scored 69 or fewer points twice in its last 5 games. Back UNDER 159.5 (-115).
