Clemson Football’s 2024 Recruiting Class

Here is a look at Clemson football’s 2024 recruiting class after adding two preferred walk-on wide receivers.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff did a phenomenal job with their 2023 recruiting class and look to strike the same magic they did in 2023 with their 2024 class.

The 2024 class looks great on paper, and it looks like the class wrapped things up yesterday. The Tigers added two preferred walk-ons in wide receivers Parker Fulghum and Clark Sanderson, adding depth at wide receiver behind the two studs they have already in this class.

With these additions, we have a clean, full look at what Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class looks like as the program prepares for the 2024 season. Below is a look at each recruit in the Tigers’ 2024 class and where they are ranked in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

12 Tigers in the final Rivals250 rankings for the 2024 class

12 Tigers landed in Rivals final Rivals250 rankings for the 2024 recruiting class.

For some teams, recruiting means a lot. For a team like Clemson, it means that much more.

Modern college football is very different from what some of us remember growing up. Year after year, the game changes and differs from what we once knew. Right now, the transfer portal is going wild as teams use the portal to build their teams. Each team is different with the transfer portal, but if you look at a team like Florida State from 2023, a majority of a team’s starting lineup can come directly through the portal.

That is not the case for Clemson, who simply doesn’t use the transfer portal often (or even at all, depending on the season). Therefore, recruiting means everything for Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program. Luckily for Clemson fans, Swinney and his staff are great at recruiting.

Rivals recently released their final Rivals250 rankings for the 2024 class, with 12 Tigers making the rankings. Here is a look at each of those Tigers and where they rank.

Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class so far grouped by position

Here is a look at all 17 current Clemson commits in the 2024 class grouped by their positions.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program have been among the top teams recruiting in the 2024 class as the Tigers look to remain one of the elite programs in college football.

Headlined by two five-star recruits in linebacker Sammy Brown and wide receiver Bryant Wesco, the Tigers have future stars ready to make an impact for the Tigers in this class. The most recent commitment in the class came from four-star cornerback Corian Gipson, who committed to the Tigers Saturday, choosing Clemson over top competitor Texas.

Now ranked the No.6 class in On3’s 2024 industry team recruiting class rankings, the Tigers have talent committed across multiple positions of need in this class. Here is a look at all 17 recruits committed to Clemson right now grouped by their position.

Clemson picks up first 2024 commitment

Clemson has picked up a four-star cornerback from the Sunshine State.

The Tigers have their first verbal commitment to their 2024 recruiting class.

Four-star cornerback Tavoy Feagin announced his pledge to Clemson on YouTube on Monday.

Holding over 45 offers, the Florida native chose the Tigers over finalists Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Miami.

“I’m committed to Clemson University and what made it right for me is them showing me love and recruiting me hard since day one, and I was able to build a relationship with the whole coaching staff outside of football,” Feagin told 247Sports.

Feagin is the No. 8 safety and No. 170 overall prospect in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound defensive back is the son of Michael Feagin, who played at Alabama from 1995 to 1996.

Clemson has kicked off its 2024 recruiting class with a commitment from one of the nation’s top cornerback prospects.

Carrollwood Day (Tampa, Fla.) four-star Tavoy Feagin announced his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

Feagin becomes the first commitment in Clemson’s 2024 class. He chose the Tigers over Florida State, LSU, Miami and Alabama, among a slew of other offers.

The 6-foot, 175-pound junior collected Clemson’s first offer at the cornerback position when the Tigers began dispensing offers to class of 2024 recruits back on June 1 of this year.

Feagin has made multiple trips to Tiger Town since the spring, most recently for the NC State game at Death Valley on Oct. 1. He didn’t make another recruiting visit after that until going to Florida State on Saturday for its game vs. Louisiana.

After the aforementioned Clemson visit, he told The Clemson Insider it “really just made Clemson even better.”

“They’re already a place I can call home,” he said, “and this visit really put a cherry on the top.”

Feagin — whose father, Michael, was a defensive back at Alabama in the 1990s when Swinney and other current Clemson staff members were in Tuscaloosa — explained to TCI earlier this year what made Clemson a top school for him during the recruiting process.

“When I went for my first visit, it was a family atmosphere,” he said. “Coach Swinney, he coached my father when he was in college, and then some of my dad’s teammates coached for Clemson. So, it was just like a family atmosphere.”

Mike Reed spearheaded Clemson’s recruitment of Feagin, who has plenty of respect for the Tigers’ cornerbacks coach – both for the job he does on the field, and who he is off the field as well.

“I always stay in contact with Coach Reed,” Feagin said, “because not only is he a great coach, he’s also a great person and mentor.”

Feagin is ranked as a top-100 national prospect in the 2024 class by Rivals, which considers him the No. 97 overall prospect in the class, No. 11 cornerback nationally and No. 23 overall prospect in the Sunshine State.

Four-star defensive back names LSU a finalist, sets commitment date

The Tigers made the final five for the top-100 prospect from Tampa.

LSU already has five players committed in its 2024 recruiting class — which currently ranks third in the nation — and coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] is making progress with an elite prospect from the Sunshine State.

[autotag]Tavoy Feagin[/autotag], a four-star defensive back from Carrollwood Day High School in Tampa, announced a top five that included the Tigers, in addition to Florida State, Clemson, Alabama and Miami. He also announced a commitment date of Nov. 20.

Feagin is the No. 73 overall recruit in the country and No. 6 safety, per the 247Sports Composite. He also possesses the ability to play at cornerback.

“For years people called LSU DBU, so I feel like I can continue that tradition and push what DBU stands for,” Feagin said of the Tigers, per On3. “When it comes to LSU most definitely has one of the best atmospheres in college football.”

Clemson is considered the favorite here. The Tigers hold two Crystal Ball predictions from 247Sports (including recruiting director Steve Wiltfong, who is currently 19 of 19 on predictions in the 2024 cycle). Clemson also leads the way on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 25.3%. LSU is given a 5.6% chance to land Feagin.

Kelly has a top-100 player from Florida committed in the 2023 cycle in Miami receiver [autotag]Jalen Brown[/autotag]. He will hope to add one in the 2024 cycle next month.

One of Clemson’s top defensive back targets in the class of 2024 dropped his final five schools on Sunday afternoon via social media.

Carrollwood Day (Tampa, Fla.) four-star Tavoy Feagin is down to Clemson, Alabama, Miami, LSU and Florida State. Feagin also announced a commitment date of Nov. 20.

Coming out of last Saturday’s visit, Clemson appears to be in a great spot with the priority cornerback target.

“This visit really just made Clemson even better,” Feagin told The Clemson Insider recently. “They’re already a place I can call home and this visit really put a cherry on the top.”

Feagin told TCI he hopes to return to Clemson for the Miami game on Nov. 19.

He is ranked as a top-100 national prospect in the 2024 class, regardless of position, by both 247Sports (No. 73) and Rivals (No. 98)

The cornerback prospect who collected Clemson’s first offer at his position, when the Tigers began dispensing offers to class of 2024 recruits back on June 1, was in attendance at Death Valley for the NC State game last Saturday.

Carrollwood Day (Tampa, Fla.) four-star Tavoy Feagin made the trip to Tiger Town over the weekend with his parents and little brother.

“I really enjoyed the visit,” Feagin told The Clemson Insider. “I enjoy it every time I go.”

Feagin previously visited Clemson this summer after also traveling to campus for an unofficial visit in the spring.

The night-game atmosphere at Death Valley during Clemson’s 30-20 win over NC State left a big impression on the 6-foot, 175-pound junior.

“Something that stood out would be how crazy the atmosphere was,” he said.

While on campus, Feagin spent plenty of time with cornerbacks coach Mike Reed, as well as head man Dabo Swinney.

What did he hear from the coaches?

“Me and Coach Reed talked about a lot of things,” Feagin said, “but what the whole message was, this is a spot where he’s not scared to play his freshmen.”

“And Coach Swinney truly feels like I can fit perfectly with the program,” he added.

Feagin’s father, Michael, was a defensive back at Alabama in the 1990s when Swinney was on the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff.

The Tide have also offered Feagin, along with schools such as Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

Clemson appears to be in a great spot with the priority cornerback target coming out of Saturday’s visit.

“This visit really just made Clemson even better,” he said.
