Colts’ great T.Y. Hilton dumps WWE Superstar Seth Rollins on field

WWE Superstar Seth Rollins had some fun at the Colts-Bears game

Seth Rollins of WWE thought he pulled the ultimate heel move during the Chicago Bears’ game on Sunday with the Indianapolis Colts.

He tore off his Anthony Richardson jersey to reveal a Caleb Williams jersey underneath it.

Former great Colts wideout T.Y. Hilton was having none of it and dropped Rollins onto the field.

Wisconsin top-ranked class of 2025 WR commit named captain of his high school team

Wisconsin top-ranked class of 2025 WR commit named captain of his high school team

Wisconsin football top-ranked class of 2025 wide receiver commit Eugene Hilton Jr. was named one of Zionsville High School’s team captains ahead of the 2024 season on Wednesday.

Hilton was named one of four captains for the crew this week, earning the honor alongside seniors Deiter Hartwig, Max Phenicie and Chase Wilson.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound wideout committed to Wisconsin on June 14 over other finalists Georgia, Ole Miss, Miami, Missouri, Kansas and Purdue. He and three-star wide receiver Cameron Miller are the only 2025 wideouts committed to Luke Fickell’s program thus far.

Nonetheless, Hilton’s high school portfolio is nothing short of impressive. The four-star receiver is 247Sports’ No. 408 player in the class of 2025, No. 62 wide receiver and No. 7 recruit from his home state of Indiana.

The Zionsville, Indiana native is also the son of former NFL Pro Bowl wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, who finished his 11-year NFL career with nearly 10,000 receiving yards off 638 receptions for the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.

Hilton’s nomination as team captain not only speaks to his capabilities on the gridiron, but it also alludes to his character as a rising senior.

Unlike other prospects who concoct commitment videos with multiple collegiate hats on a table before them, Hilton’s decision day was both simplistic and exciting.

During his video, the wide out appeared genuinely thrilled to become a Badger alongside his family members while House of Pain’s ‘Jump Around’ blared in the background.

Next fall, Hilton will arrive in Madison as one of the more high-profile prospects on UW’s offensive depth chart.

T.Y. Hilton’s son just committed to play football at Wisconsin, which makes us feel very old

Wanna feel really old?

As hard as it is to believe, former Indiana Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton’s son has already committed to play for a college football program.

Eugene Hilton, a rising senior and three-star wide receiver out of Zionsville in Indiana, recently committed to play at Wisconsin, per ESPN.

That’s just a stunning thing to think about, particularly given that the elder Hilton played in the NFL as recently as 2022 for the Dallas Cowboys.

T.Y. Hilton, who played at Florida International, was drafted by the Colts in 2012 to the tune of four Pro Bowl appearances, and his son will begin his college football journey for the Badgers in fall 2025.

It’s just another reminder of just how quickly time passes us by, as one of the star wide receivers of the 2010s now has a son playing the same position that we may well see on Sundays in a couple of years.

Well, we feel old.

Eugene Hilton, the son of T.Y. Hilton, has committed to Wisconsin

Eugene Hilton commits to Wisconsin.

Eugene Hilton committed to Wisconsin on Friday. The son of NFL star T.Y. Hilton, the younger Hilton is an impressive athlete in his own right.

A four-star in the 247Sports Composite, Eugene Hilton is a class of 2025 recruit at Zionsville (Zionsville, Indiana). He is the No. 55 wide receiver in the nation and Indiana’s seventh-best overall recruit in this cycle according to 247Sports.

Last year as a junior, he had 46 catches for 836 receiving yards with 10 touchdowns. He also played varsity basketball for Zionsville.

It is a very strong recruiting win for Wisconsin as Eugene Hilton had offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Louisville, Kansas, Miami, Missouri, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Purdue and West Virginia among others.

He announced his commitment on Friday with his father hanging out in the background of the stream:

Pops, of course, was a pretty big deal in the NFL.

Currently a free agent, he last played in 2022 with the Dallas Cowboys. He has spent 11 years in the NFL, with the first 10 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.

There he was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and led the NFL in receiving in 2016.

He had 638 catches for 9,812 receiving yards and 55 touchdowns.

5 free agent WR options for the desperate Chiefs to help Patrick Mahomes

These five WR free agents might be able to help Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs a bit.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a wide receiver problem.

After wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling dropped a game-winning touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, it underscored how the best quarterback in the game doesn’t really have the help he deserves from his wide receiver group.

However, there are some legitimate options out in free agency right now if the team wanted to bring in a veteran and see if they could help, at least just a little bit. Right now, any positive momentum for Kansas City would be good.

The available names might not be superstars, but they could all possibly help Mahomes in some way. Let’s see who they are and how they’d factor in.

If the Carolina Panthers can’t find pass-catching help in the trade market, then how does the open market currently look?

Free-agent WRs who might make sense for the Panthers to sign

Are there any free-agent WRs worth signing? Let’s examine three possible options for the Panthers.

Dating back to the beginning of the month, there’s been a bit of buzz surrounding the Carolina Panthers’ search for a fresh wideout. But given their 0-6 record and a disposition to relinquish any more high-end draft capital, don’t count on a big splash before the trade deadline.

They could, instead, go through the bargain bin of free agency—a possibility recently mentioned by both Josina Anderson of CBS Sports and Joe Person of The Athletic. So, who’s still sitting out on the open market?

As long as you promise to temper your expectations throughout this post, we’ll present three free-agent receivers who may make some sense for the Panthers.

List of notable free agents after first week of training camp

There are some big-name options still available in free agency.

It’s usually slim pickings on the free agent market around this time of the year, but surprisingly, there are still several big-name players out there that remain unsigned.

Most of the notable talent is at the running back position with at least two or three potential NFL starters on the list. The Patriots could certainly use help at that position with Ty Montgomery going down with an injury.

They have mostly leaned on Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong Jr. as their top options behind Rhamondre Stevenson. Harris looks the most improved of the two, and they could make the decision to stick with him in the end.

However, they have visited with a few players on this list, including Ezekiel Elliott, Darrell Henderson and Leonard Fournette.

They’ve also reportedly considered a future visit with Dalvin Cook.

But there are more than just running backs on this list of NFL talent. Let’s take a look at some of the more notable unsigned free agents.

10 free agent wide receivers Broncos should consider signing

Going forward without Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler, the Broncos will need more depth at WR. Here’s a quick list of 10 free agents to monitor.

Following the losses of wide receivers Tim Patrick (Achilles) and KJ Hamler (pericarditis) on Monday, the Denver Broncos will likely sign at least one receiver in the coming days.

Hamler might be able to return to the team later this year, but Patrick is set to miss the entire 2023 season.

The biggest name free agent available is Julio Jones, but he is 34 years old and coming off a quiet season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Other big-game players available are Jarvis Landry (30) and T.Y. Hilton (33), who have both seen their production drop in recent seasons.

One unflashy name to watch is Nick Williams, who has had two different stints with the Broncos this spring. Williams is a local prospect who played high school football at Cherry Creek and started his college career at CSU-Pueblo before later transferring to UNLV ahead of the 2022 college football season.

With those names in mind, here’s a quick look at the full list of 10 free agent wide receivers the Broncos should consider signing.

The NFL’s best available free agents as training camps begin

As training camps begin, and the preseason is nearly upon us, here are the best free agent players left in the NFL.

Rookies and veterans are reporting to training camps around the NFL, which means that our long national nightmare of life without professional football is nearly over. Yay, but for a lot of veterans in the league, there’s still an element of waiting by the phone to hear from their agents regarding interests from NFL teams.

Not every veteran — even veterans who are still playing at a high level — have homes when training camps start. A lot of the players listed below will find those homes before preseason games begin in early August, and some will have to wait longer. (Yes, there are veterans who would prefer to eschew training camp entirely, and that has something to do with it).

So, as we head into the pre-preseason, here are the best players who, at this point, are still looking for their new NFL destinations.
