  • The defensive line needs to be a priority
  • Elite level quarterback play matters
  • Don’t have a massive weakness on the offensive line
  • Linebackers are a necessity

To finish the show, there are 17 different players who have been mocked to the Vikings over the first six weeks of the 2024 calendar across 133 mock drafts. What can we get from who experts are sending the Vikings in the first round?

WATCH: Former LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire becomes emotional after winning 2nd Super Bowl

Clyde Edwards-Helaire has now won a national title and a pair of Super Bowls.

With the Kansas City Chiefs‘ thrilling overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58 on Sunday night, former LSU running back [autotag]Clyde Edwards-Helaire[/autotag] became a Super Bowl champion for the second time in his career.

The former first-round pick in 2020 won his first ring as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs last season, and he’s a world champion once again.

Edwards-Helaire wasn’t a major factor in the game. He saw just four snaps and took a single carry for no yards. Still, that didn’t keep him from getting emotional on the field at Allegiant Stadium after the game.

Along with Edwards-Helaire, former Tigers defensive tackle [autotag]Neil Farrell[/autotag] also captured a Super Bowl ring, the first of his career. Farrell spent his rookie season in 2022 with the Raiders, but he joined their division rival this season via trade and ultimately won a championship in the city that drafted him.

The most important plays of Super Bowl LVIII

The most important plays of Super Bowl LVIII:

Every football game comes down to a series of moments that flip things in one direction or another. That’s the most true in the Super Bowl, where everything is magnified beyond all reason.

Here is NFL Wire’s list of the most-important plays during Super Bowl 58 which saw the Chiefs top the 49ers, 25-22:

4 things Vikings can learn from Super Bowl 58

Super Bowl 58 has a lot of takeaways, including how the Vikings might prioritize team building to take the next step

The Minnesota Vikings are in the process of trying to build up their roster to a point where they can make and win the Super Bowl. Bringing the first-ever world championship to the state is something that fans are desperately craving, but it’s increasingly difficult to make it happen.

The National Football League itself is one that sees a lot of copycats. If one team has a level of success, other teams will borrow from that strategy to make their own world champion. This is where you will see shifts in team building philosophy.

What can the Vikings learn from the Kansas City Chiefs win over the San Francisco 49ers? There are four things that stand out above the rest.

Shaq finally met Taylor Swift (and gifted her a bag) at the Super Bowl, thanks to Jason Kelce

Shaq said that Taylor Swift is ‘definitely’ a cultural icon.

Shaquille O’Neal had one mission for Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas, to meet Taylor Swift, and he accomplished it.

O’Neal, a four-time NBA champion, was one of many celebrities who watched live as Patrick Mahomes won his third championship in the NFL. But the highlight of the night for the big man was probably when he had his chance to interact with Swift, the pop star and global sensation who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Before the game began, O’Neal told reporters he wanted to sit near Swift and planned to meet the singer for the first time so that he could “shake the hand” of greatness (via Page Six):

“If I see Taylor Swift and get to shake her hand, take a picture, I’ll be good … She’s a fabulous person. I’m happy for her. I’m proud of her. She’s done a lot. She’s definitely a cultural icon … I just want to shake the hand of greatness.”

During another interview, when asked if he was excited about the game, the Hall of Famer aid that he was “looking forward” to just shaking her hand.

According to USA TODAY reporter Josh Peter, however, Shaq was denied entry into Swift’s suite when he first attempted to visit:

“During the first half, O’Neal stopped by the suite and spoke to security standing outside. But he was denied entry.

A few minutes after the first half ended, Shaq circled back. And as he stood outside the area in front of the entrance to the suite, Jason Kelce emerged.

Jason, Travis Kelce’s brother who recently retired from the NFL, was clad in colorful Chiefs overalls. Shaq kissed the top of Kylie Kelce’s hand when he was introduced to Jason’s wife. Jason Kelce then embraced Shaq, and after a few moments of chatting, he was led inside the suite.”

Fortunately, however, Kelce’s brother Jason reportedly helped him out.

After the game, O’Neal posted a photo with a caption that indicated he had “finally met” Swift.

He also revealed that he gifted her with a custom Judith Lieber bag, which was shaped like a football and included a nod to Kelce’s number 87.

O’Neal told Us Weekly that he hopes that Swift and Kelce “last forever” and have beautiful children.

Former Wisconsin linebacker’s play won Super Bowl 58 for the Kansas City Chiefs

Former Wisconsin linebacker’s play won Super Bowl 58 for the Kansas City Chiefs

Former Wisconsin linebacker Leo Chenal is a two-time Super Bowl champion in only two years in the NFL.

It helps to be drafted by a franchise led by Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes and play on one of the best defenses in the NFL. Though Chenal fell to the third round and 103rd pick of the 2022 NFL draft, he’s made the Chiefs’ brass look smart for selecting him.

Through two seasons the former Badger has recorded 100 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits and four sacks. He has quickly become a valuable part of a stellar inside linebacker corps alongside Willie Gay and Nick Bolton.

One could argue it was his play that propelled the Chiefs to a 25-22 overtime win over the 49ers in Super Bowl 58 Sunday night.

First, Chenal forced 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey to fumble on the first possession of the game.

Then, he blocked a San Francisco extra point to keep it a three-point game. That saved point allowed the Chiefs to force overtime and eventually take home the trophy.

Chenal finished the contest with six tackles, one tackle for loss, the forced fumble and a blocked extra point.

Brian Baldinger had a great breakdown of his entire night:

Patrick Mahomes won Super Bowl MVP, but Chenal made some of the game’s most crucial plays.

Kevin Harlan had an instant classic radio call of the Chiefs’ game-winning Super Bowl touchdown

Kevin Harlan: “It is a dynasty!”

Kevin Harlan has made some incredible calls in his professional broadcasting career and during Super Bowl 58, he made yet another.

Harlan, who is a three-time National Sportscaster of the Year, has spent 39 consecutive seasons doing play-by-play for NFL games. As the lead NFL voice on the Westwood One network, this season marked his 14th year in a row calling the national radio broadcast of the Super Bowl.

The final possession of the game was a stellar touchdown pass from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Using just his voice, Harlan was able to capture all of the excitement everyone who was watching felt.

Listen to the call below:

If you wanted to watch the possession as it happened live but with Harlan’s play-by-play dubbed over, there is already a video for that.

Check it out:

This was the highlight of the call:

“Hardman caught the ball. The Chiefs have won. The Chiefs have won. The entire bench empties chasing Mahomes in the end zone. Their third Super Bowl in five years … It is a dynasty.”

This was just amazing stuff from Harlan, as usual.

Multiple 49ers players admitted they didn’t understand the Super Bowl overtime rules

Not good!!

Well this is bad.

The NFL’s overtime rules changed last year for the postseason, and those applied to the Super Bowl: No matter what happens in the first possession of the extra period — field goal, touchdown, except for a defensive score — the other team will get a possession to try and tie or win.

Here’s where it gets bad: There were multiple Niners players who admitted they didn’t know those rules, which is an indictment of San Francisco’s coaching staff and NOT a good look. With lots of questions swirling over why Kyle Shanahan elected to take the ball first, it’s even worse.

Here’s Kyle Juszczyk:

From ESPN:

“I didn’t even know about the new playoff overtime rule, so it was a surprise to me,” Niners defensive lineman Arik Armstead said. “I didn’t even really know what was going on in terms of that.”

Conversely, there were Chiefs players who DEFINITELY knew the rules:

Yikes!

See Usher’s awesome full Super Bowl 2024 halftime show

Rewatch Usher’s amazing Super Bowl set.

It was as good of a Super Bowl halftime show as we’ve seen: Usher sang, gyrated, danced, took his shirt off, sweated a lot and roller skated his way through a packed set of his classics with some fantastic guest stars on the field at Allegiant Stadium.

It spawned some funny memes, but he was just fantastic all around. And if you’re waking up on Monday wanting to see it again? Well, you’ve come to the right place, my friends.

Here’s the entire 13-minute show from beginning to end to enjoy a few more times, because once simply wasn’t enough:

Everyone worried about Lana Del Rey in Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl suite after she got knocked down during a raucous celebration

Poor Lana Del Rey.

Among the celebrities in the suite with Taylor Swift during Super Bowl 58 was singer Lana Del Rey … but she trended after the Kansas City Chiefs win over the San Francisco 49ers for the wrong reasons.

As the star-studded group erupted in celebration, it was Del Rey who got swallowed up as everyone from Ice Spice and Swift began celebrating, and the singer — while smiling — was buried.

I hope she’s OK, but everyone’s worried about her! So, if you’re reading this Lana, we hope you didn’t get hurt and that you had a good time at the big game with this crew:
