The Seahawks may be forced to finish this game without their best young defender.

The Seahawks may be forced to finish this game without their best young defender.

Watch rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon make another nice pass breakup but take a shot in the back from George Kittle, who was taking a shot in the back from Jamal Adams at the same time.

A short time later officials stopped the game so that Witherspoon could be evaluated in the blue medical tent. He is now on the sidelines wearing a wrap around his torso.

Now the team is saying that Witherspoon is questionable to return with a lower back injury.

The Seahawks lead 10-7 going into the second quarter.

Geno Smith will be game-time decision to play today vs. 49ers

The Seattle Seahawks have listed seven players as questionable for today’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Seattle Seahawks have listed seven players as questionable for today’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. The most important of them is starting quarterback Geno Smith, who is dealing with multiple injuries right now. For the last several weeks Smith has been playing through an elbow issue, which occurred when he took a bad hit from Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald as he was throwing. Then, earlier this week Smith also suffered a groin injury during practice.

According to Adam Schefter at ESPN, the Seahawks won’t make a decision on whether or not Smith will play until pregame warmups.

Smith has not missed a game yet for the Seahawks due to injury.

Other critical players who are listed as questionable include cornerback Tre Brown, linebacker Jordyn Brooks and nose tackle Jarran Reed.

Frank Clark did not travel with Seahawks for today’s game vs. 49ers

Defensive end Frank Clark apparently did not travel with the team to Santa Clara.

The Seahawks’ inactives list won’t come out for another five hours or so, but we already know at least one name that will be on the list. Defensive end Frank Clark apparently did not travel with the team to Santa Clara.

The team gave him a non-injury related designation.

Clark has had a great career in the NFL, but it may soon be coming to an end. On the field, Clark has been a liability against the run this year. He’s also been ineffective as a pass rusher, managing zero sacks, zero quarterback hits and just one pressure. PFF has Clark graded out (39.9) as the second-worst defender on the team this season among those with 100+ snaps.
