A hilarious unaired ‘SNL’ skit parodied Stephen A. Smith, Kendrick Perkins and ‘First Take’

This is hilarious!

Saturday Night Live has parodied both ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and First Take a few times.

But it never gets old.

In an unaired sketch from Saturday’s season finale, Chris Redd brings back his Stephen A. Smith, Kenan Thompson did his best Kendrick Perkins and guest host Natasha Lyonne starred as actor and New York Knicks die-hard Michael Rapaport.

The real Smith laughed at it — see below — as everyone debated Luka Doncic vs. Steph Curry, if a hot dog is a sandwich and if Big Foot exists.

Here’s the whole thing, which was cut for time but posted on YouTube:

LOL.

@quantumphil1 veamos #EmilyinParis.

Traducción.- @nbcsnl AMO a Peyton Manning.

Jason Sudeikis took some hilarious shots at Tom Brady and the Astros on ‘SNL’

The Devil made a hilarious return to Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update.

The great Jason Sudeikis was back on Saturday Night Live last night and he didn’t disappoint. At all.

One of the best part of the show was when Sudeikis, the star of the tremendously awesome show Ted Lasso, brought back one of his old characters, The Devil, during Weekend Update.

The Devil had some fun going through everything he’s been through over the past couple of years and brought up how he’s been helping the Houston Astros (who will face the Braves in the World Series starting this week) and how Tom Brady has him to thank for his success.

The sports stuff is at 1:22 of this video but this whole segment is worth the watch.

Twitter had reactions.

Hilarious ‘SNL’ skit hilariously jokes about similarities between Andy Reid and Bruce Arians

LOL!

Obviously, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers counterpart Bruce Arians don’t really look alike.

But of course, Saturday Night Live had to joke about how they kind of do, especially when you’re doing a cold open on the CBS Super Bowl pre-game show, in which the always-funny Aidy Bryant plays both of them nearly at the same time.

The CBS crew interviews Bryant as Reid, then cuts to speaking to Arians, which means Bryant has to do a VERY quick wardrobe and facial hair change. That’s really the funny part about it, especially when the Chiefs logo peeks out from under her Bucs vest:

Hilarious!

WATCH: Saturday Night Live mocks Jets, pretends they’re actually undefeated

In this Saturday Night Live sketch, the actors spoof the network “Newsmax,” by claiming the Jets have won all of their games this season.

While the Jets may be winless heading into Week 14, Saturday Night Live’s latest sketch doesn’t want you to believe that.

The SNL skit imagined what it would be like if Newsmax got into sports coverage, claiming the Jets are undefeated. The skit was using Gang Green to poke fun at Newsmax’s coverage disputing the presidential election results.

During the said skit, one of the analysts on “Sportsmax” claimed that the Jets have actually won all their games. The analyst (Beck Bennett) used New York leading the Buffalo Bills 3-0 after one quarter in Week 7 as prime evidence to support his conspiracy theory.

“But then something suspicious happened, right?” Bennett’s character said. “The Bills start getting all these points, outta God knows where.”

In addition, celebrity guest host Timothée Chalamet and Pete Davidson’s characters, also known as “Jetsperts” questioned the results of the Jets’ 20-3 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 12. Chalamet claimed that he had 500 signed affidavits from Jets fans, who swore they witnessed a Jets win.

If the Jets want to knock off the Seahawks in Seattle on Sunday, they may need an assist from SNL and the “Jetsperts” over at “Sportsmax.”

Watch Jim Carrey and Alec Baldwin as Biden and Trump in hilarious ‘SNL’ presidential debate

Alec Baldwin reprised his role as Donald Trump, and Jim Carrey joined as Joe Biden in the SNL season debut.

Well, we all knew this was coming, and to give Saturday Night Live credit, they didn’t miss the mark.

Alec Baldwin returned as Donald Trump and Jim Carrey made a debut as Joe Biden in the opening night of this season of SNL on Saturday. The show’s cold open was a “replay” of Tuesday’s presidential debate, though as the intro noted, it feels like that was 100 days ago.

I was wondering how SNL would handle the fact that we’ve had multiple bombshell news drops since the debate — most notably the president and first lady’s positive COVID-19 tests — and they dealt with it by not really dealing it with, instead flashing back to Tuesday for the debate.

Hard to blame them too much. It’s tough to stay on top of things when the world completely changes every 48 hours.

Happy Birthday, Joe Montana!

Notre Dame comeback king and Saturday Night Live legend Joe Montana is blowing out 64 candles today. Come celebrate with us at FIW!

Notre Dame legend and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana turns 64 years old today.

Born in western Pennsylvania, Montana made Notre Dame his college of choice in part because his favorite player, Terry Hanratty, attended and played for the Fighting Irish.

Montana may have arrived at Notre Dame in 1974 but he became an Irish hero when he came off the bench to lead Notre Dame to a comeback victory at North Carolina. He do so again a few weeks later against Air Force, guiding the Notre Dame comeback as they won 31-30 after trailing 30-10.

1976 saw Montana separate his shoulder before the season, keeping him out for the year.  He returned in ’77 to see his starting spot gone but after a loss at Mississippi and Notre Dame trailing Purdue by 10 with roughly 11 minutes to play, Montana guided another Irish comeback, throwing for 154 yards and a touchdown in the eventual 31-24 victory.  That squad wouldn’t lose again behind Montana as a Cotton Bowl victory over No. 1 Texas earned them a national championship.

In Montana’s final season at Notre Dame a national championship wasn’t in the cards but an epic comeback to cap a memorable career was.  After an 8-3 regular season (after an 0-2 start), No. 8 Notre Dame looked done for, trailing No. 9 Houston 34-12 entering the fourth quarter.

Montana was sick with the flu on a nasty, 24 degree day in North Texas, but some chicken soup did him and the Irish wonders as Montana guided the Irish to one last epic comeback, scoring as time expired to tie things up before Kris Haines knocked the extra point through (after a Notre Dame false start) to win the game.

Montana would go on to be drafted by the San Francisco 49ers.  We’re unsure if professional football ever worked out for him but what we do know is that he is responsible for one of the best athlete appearances in the history of Saturday Night Live:

Watch Miley Cyrus’ stirring cover of Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here’ on SNL

The pop star gave a fireside performance of the Pink Floyd song from home on this week’s ‘Saturday Night Live.’

Saturday Night Live is keeping things going despite its cast being locked down in quarantine, releasing an episode this weekend with cast members filming themselves at home.

Once you got over the strangeness of not hearing an audience laugh at the jokes, the episode was actually pretty strong, and was highlighted by a musical performance by Miley Cyrus.

Sitting next to an open fire and lit all in red, Cyrus performed a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” accompanied only by an acoustic guitar player. The result was spare, haunting, and beautiful. Cyrus didn’t try to over-sing the thing, blessedly, letting the song speak for itself.

Watch: JJ Watt Remakes “Rudy” for Saturday Night Live

Can we get JJ Watt in a Notre Dame uniform next time they play Clemson though, please

If you missed Saturday Night Live this past weekend like most of the nation has done for sometime, JJ Watt, Houston Texans star and a University of Wisconsin product was the guest host.

Watt and much of the cast did a sketch remaking “Rudy” and did so in just four or so minutes.

Enjoy “Robbie” if you haven’t already seen it:

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jHxEthp2-8&w=560&h=315]

I loved “Rudy” when it came out and still do, even if things we learn later on about his actual story may have meant for an even better film.

But if you can’t laugh at that then you’re taking things way too seriously.

Can we get JJ Watt in a Notre Dame uniform next time they play Clemson though, please? That would be nice.
