The Lions’ offseason started back on January 8, 2023, but this year it ends on January 28.

The journey this team is on was way ahead of schedule for someone rebuilding. For this team to be here so quickly, an NFC Championship, it speaks to how well the front office and coaching staff are working together. That isn’t common for most teams to have such unison, Lions fans are lucky for once it appears.

The show goes on, however, and that means looking ahead to key dates on the offseason calendar. The NFL Draft and all the events leading up to them are already around the corner. This is your ultimate guide to the offseason and all the dates needed to follow.

20 Shrine Bowl prospects to know for the 2024 NFL draft before practices kick off

The 99th annual East-West Shrine Bowl week is coming up quickly. Over 100 draft prospects will go through practices and interviews with scouting personnel from all 32 NFL teams in hopes of improving their stock for the 2024 NFL draft.

This year’s Shrine Bowl moves to The Star in Frisco, Texas. Practices kick off on Saturday and run through Tuesday, with the game scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff on Thursday, February 1st.

Here are some of the top players to know from the East and West rosters, which will be coached by current NFL assistants across several teams.

Cardinals assistants getting offseason work at college all-star games

At least five Cardinals assistants will be part of the Shrine Bowl and Senior Bowl this offseason.

The Arizona Cardinals are in the offseason and preparing for free agency and the 2024 NFL draft. While all of the coaching staff will be involved in some form with predraft evaluations, visits and more, some of the assistant coaches on head coach Jonathan Gannon’s staff are getting extra work and an up-close look at some prospects.

The two biggest predraft college all-star games are the Senior Bowl and the East-West Shrine Bowl.

Several Cardinals assistants have been tabbed to be on the coaching staffs for the Shrine Bowl and the Senior Bowl.

Cardinals’ Drew Terrell to be OC at Shrine Bowl

Terrell is one of several Cardinals assistants getting extra work in the offseason.

The Arizona Cardinals have yet another member of their coaching staff getting to participate in the predraft college all-star games. The latest is passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach Drew Terrell.

The East-West Shrine Bowl announced that Terrell will be the offensive coordinator for the East team. Four other assistants on Arizona’s staff have been announced as part of the Senior Bowl coaching staff as well.

Terrell has been with the Cardinals for one year. He was with the Washington Commanders previously as their receivers coach.

The Shrine Bowl will be Feb. 1 in Frisco, Texas, two days before the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. The Senior Bowl and the Shrine Bowl are the two most prominent predraft all-star games, giving NFL prospects the opportunity to face other top prospects.

The experience is one that Terrell can add to his resume as he hopes to climb the NFL coaching ladder. He hopes to be an NFL offensive coordinator.
