Day lamented the inability to run the ball, execute in the red zone, and ultimately, do enough to win and send all of those seniors that came back for one more season out the right way.

It was a vey solemn press conference for Day, and we have the entire thing here in case you missed any of his comments. The video is courtesy of the CBS affiliate, WBNS 10TV in Columbus.

Watch and listen to Day as he answers questions on his future, the inability to adjust on offense with the game plan, the postgame brawl that occurred after Michigan tried to plant its flag at midfield, and more.

Ohio State will now look to see what its College Football Playoff seed will be moving forward. The season is not over, but the team will have to try and move forward after a crushing defeat.

Listen and watch what Ohio State head coach Ryan Day had to say after the win over Akron. #GoBucks

The Ohio State Buckeyes took down the Akron Zips 52-6 Saturday in their first game of the 2024 college football season.

While the scoreboard shows a dominant victory, it didn’t quite feel that way as the Buckeyes were up just 7-3 at the end of the first 15-minute period. Ohio State won the second half 35-3.

However, there were a slew of very positive performances. True freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith ended with two touchdowns, a huge feat in his first game.

Ryan Day was able to speak and just about every topic in the postgame press conference and gave his opinion on several aspects of the game, some impressive and some not so much.

Check it out below.

The Buckeyes were able to take down the Zips in Week 1 with ease, and they should have another relatively easy matchup with the Western Michigan Broncos in Week 2.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day discusses win over Michigan State

Watch and listen to everything Ryan Day said after the win over Michigan State. #GoBucks

Well, that was more like it. We finally got to sit back and watch an Ohio State football game without too much teeth gnashing and handwringing with the Buckeyes’ public flogging of Michigan State, 38-3.

Honestly, the score wasn’t indicative of how dominant the Buckeyes were, and it might be the most complete game OSU has played, right at the time of the year when you want everything to start coming together.

Head coach Ryan Day met with the media after the game to discuss what he saw from his team. Here is the complete press conference thanks to the Ohio State Buckeyes YouTube channel. Day discussed the play of Kyle McCord, the timing of getting some of key players back on offense, how the offense is starting to come around and much more.

The first three minutes of the press conference is missing sound, but the rest of Day’s comments are loud and clear so hang in there.

Ohio State will now prepare to host Minnesota next week in the penultimate matchup before the big one we all know is coming at Michigan in two weeks.

Ryan Day reflects on Indiana, previews matchup with Youngstown State

Watch what Ryan Day had to say in reflecting on the game at Indiana and in previewing Youngstown State Saturday. #GoBucks

Game No. 1 is in the books for Ohio State, and most fans are wondering why the Buckeyes’ offense struggled so mightily against an Indiana team that has been one of the worst in the Big Ten over the last couple of years.

And it wasn’t just the fans. Head coach Ryan Day also expressed the need for growth when it comes to the execution and production from the side of the ball responsible for moving the chains and scoring points. Still, it was a win, and the defense at least was impressive, surrendering just 153 total yards and three points.

Day held his weekly press conference on Tuesday to reflect on the contest with Indiana, and to also provide a status of the team and what’s next in store with in-state opponent Youngstown State on Saturday.

In case you missed any of his press conference, we’re sharing it with you thanks to the Ohio State Buckeyes Facebook page. In it, you can hear Day discuss how impressed he was with the defense, what the plan is at quarterback on Saturday, other rotations, and where he thinks OSU can get better in the future.

WATCH: Ohio State head coach Ryan Day discusses Toledo win

Watch and listen to everything Ryan Day said after the Toledo win. #GoBucks

You have to take the opponent into account, but the Ohio State football team sure looks like a team that is starting to figure things out. After a slower-than-expected start to the 2022 season on the offensive side of the ball, the Buckeyes broke out in a big way with 77 points and more than 750 yards of offense.

While the defense didn’t look like a dominant force like we thought through the first couple of weeks, there were still plenty of flashes of brilliance on that side of the ball as well.

Buckeye headman Ryan Day met with the media after the contest as he does after every game and took some time to discuss what he saw and field questions from the media.

We have the full video for you in case you missed any of what was said thanks to our very own Josh Keatley and the Buckeyes Wire YouTube channel. Play the below video and listen to Day discuss the performance of the offense, some injury news, the challenge of keeping the Toledo quarterback in check and much more.

Ohio State will now turn its focus to a big step up in competition as Wisconsin will come to town next Saturday for another nighttime affair. It’s time to get things cranked up in the Big Ten.
