Best cold weather gear 2022: Men’s jackets

Winter rules! Keep your top half warm on and off the golf course this winter.

Much of the United States is quickly going from chilly to straight up cold.

It seemed like just yesterday that the temperature outside was perfect for a 1/4 zip and shorts. With weather fluctuating so randomly and rapidly, you need to be prepared to play golf so there’s no wasted rounds.

Here at Golfweek, we’ve curated a list of some of the best jackets on the market to make sure that you’ll be as warm as possible while still being able to make a full swing well into the fall and winter months.

When playing in colder temps, here’s a couple of tips to help maximize your experience: 1) Always have a hand warmer or two 2) Wear wool socks 3) Walk if it’s not windy 4) If in a cart, have a cart cover & butane heater. These simple tips will make your golf experience much better when it’s hovering above freezing.

Pink golf apparel to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Pink is fashionable year round, but in October it takes on a deeper meaning.

October is upon us which means it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

One of the deadliest diseases amongst women in the United States, breast cancer has unfortunately left a mark on all of our lives. Spreading awareness and helping people get access to treatment and early detection is what October is all about. In fact, take time to remind someone you love to get a mammogram, you could help save a life.

With plenty of charity tournaments and golf-related events that help raise awareness about breast cancer, you’re going to need some pink in your closet. Plus, pink is an awesome color to rock on the golf course.

And while we are officially in fall, not everything on this list is fall-centric, as you should be repping pink all year long. If you’re looking for more fall and early winter golf gear, check out the following lists to stock up and stay warm.

BEST: Hoodies | Quarter Zips | Vests

Enjoy the end of summer with our favorite polos, shorts and more

Summertime and the golf apparel is easy.

While our calendars flip to September and football season is all but moments away, the temperatures all across the U.S. are a fair reminder that many of us are still very much in summer.

While it can be annoying and sweaty as we wait for those blissful cooler temps to spread across the country, take this as a sign that there’s still plenty of golf to be played.

As we while away these final six to eight weeks of warm temperatures, take a peek at some of the best polo prints, shorts, and more so you can hit the course and soak up the rays while you still can.

If you’re someone who knows more about what they’re looking for, we have curated lists all summer long to keep you looking and feeling cool while on the course.

Best golf visors for 2022

The Zen philosopher, Basho, once wrote “a visor with no hole is a hat.”

Visors are great for the summer golf season as they keep the sun out of your eyes and let the wind get through your hair. Using a visor instead of a hat can help complete the full tour look.

Hats aren’t for everybody. But if you’re everybody, check out Golfweek’s list of best hats.

Guys like Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Freddy Couples, Kevin Na, and Beau Hossler have all made the visor their patented look. If you’re on the fence, this is your sign to take the leap of faith and try the pro look.

Explore the latest and greatest in men’s golf shirts.

Just take all our money already.

The Masters brings the best out of all of us. It also brings the best out of many golf apparel companies. The usual suspects make this list as well as some new-school companies, but they both share the same goal – to make you feel your coolest while supporting your favorite major.

From apparel to accessories, this list includes must-haves if you consider yourself a true Masters fan, plus one of the best pieces of Masters merchandise we’ve ever seen … yes it’s all the way at the bottom of the list.
