Alabama football countdown to kickoff: 34 days

We are now just 34 days away from the start of Alabama’s 2023 football season!

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2023 college football season in 34 days, as Middle Tennessee State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 2.

Here at Roll Tide Wire, we will be counting down the days until Nick Saban and his team take the field.

With 34 days remaining we take a look at a current linebacker for the Crimson Tide, [autotag]Quandarrius Robinson[/autotag].

Robinson is entering his senior season with Alabama. Robinson has mostly made an impact for the Crimson Tide as a special teams player but seems to have turned the corner as an outside linebacker and should be among the first guys off the bench for the Alabama defense in 2023.

Alabama Football: 5 overlooked players heading into the 2023 season

These five Alabama football players are being undervalued heading into the 2023 college football season!

Before you know it, the 2023 college football season will be here. Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field on Sept. 2 against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders to begin its quest for another national championship.

As we navigate the perpetual offseason, most of the talk leading up to the college football season, relative to the Crimson Tide, is the ongoing quarterback battle in Tuscaloosa.

Instead of bogging you down with continuous quarterback talk, let’s take a few moments and look at some of the players on the roster who are not receiving quite the notoriety that they deserve.

Below is a list of five players that I believe are being slept on leading up to the 2023 season!

Post-spring depth chart projections for Alabama’s outside linebackers

Projecting Alabama’s outside linebacker depth chart post-spring!

Now that spring football has officially wrapped up and the 2023 NFL draft is complete, it is time to shift our focus to the offseason.

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have a ton of questions marks exiting spring and fans are chomping at the bit for answers.

So as we dive into the dog days of summer, I thought we could take a look, position by position, and project the possible depth chart for the 2023 Alabama football team post-spring.

We have already taken a look at the quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, offensive line, and defensive line. Today we will keep it along the defensive front and look at the outside linebacker!

Five defensive players who need to play well in Friday’s scrimmage

Five defensive players who need to play well in Alabama’s first scrimmage of the spring!

[autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team will hold its first scrimmage of the spring on Friday afternoon before having the weekend off for Easter.

Coach Saban and the Tide generally don’t allow much information to be released from the closed scrimmages but there are always some little hints sprinkled throughout Coach Saban’s comments afterward.

With the scrimmage just a few hours away, Roll Tide Wire thought it would be a good idea to look at five players from each side of the ball that need to step up and perform well in the first game-like situation of the spring.

Here are five players from the defense:

Position Breakdown: Alabama’s OLB’s ahead of spring practice

A deep dive into the Alabama outside linebacker room ahead of spring practice.

We are now just a few weeks out from [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team taking the practice field to begin spring ball.

As is the case each offseason, there are many questions that need to be answered before the Tide hit the field to start the 2023 season.

As spring practice creeps closer, we are going to break down each position group on both sides of the ball. We have already looked at the quarterbacks, running backs, and defensive line. Today we will take a look at the outside linebackers as the Tide look to replace one of the legendary players in Alabama football history, Will Anderson.

Let’s dive right in!

Alabama countdown to kickoff: 34 days

We are just 34 days away from the start of Alabama’s 2022 football season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2022 college football season in 34 days, as Utah State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 3.

This will be Alabama’s first season-opener at home in quite some time, as the 18-time national champs are usually selected for a nationally televised kickoff game at a neutral site against a big-time opponent.

Here at Roll Tide Wire, we will be counting down the days until [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and his team takes the field.

Today, with 34 days remaining we take a look at a current linebacker for the Crimson Tide, [autotag]Quandarrius Robinson[/autotag].

Robinson is entering his third season with Alabama. After redshirting his true freshman season in 2020, Robinson would see action during the 2021 season on special teams and is likely to contribute in a similar fashion this fall.

Alabama player arrested and charged with DUI

Uh oh…

Couldn’t be Auburn.

Alabama outside linebacker Quandarrius Robinson was charged with a DUI and arrested after having a wreck on Alabama’s campus late on Saturday night. Three vehicles were involved in the accident with nobody injured. Robinson was later taken to jail after failing a sobriety test.

He was booked into the Tuscaloosa County jail Sunday morning. His bail was set at $1,000, per 247Sports.

Hard to imagine what Bryan Harsin would do if one of his players did anything similar. Upper decks for weeks.

Alabama linebacker Quandarrius Robinson charged with DUI

Alabama sophomore linebacker Quandarrius Robinson has been charged with driving under the influence after being involved in a three-car crash.

No one involved in the wreck sustained injuries according to the Tuscaloosa police. The wreck occurred just after 11 p.m. Saturday night.

The Birmingham native arrived in Tuscaloosa a part of the 2020 recruiting class where he was rated as a four-star prospect.

With all the depth Alabama has at outside linebacker, Robinson was battling for a backup role this fall.

The charge comes less than a week before Alabama faces off against Miami in the 2021 season opener for the Tide.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor the situation surrounding Quandarrius Robinson and will provide an update as soon as possible.
