The three-star recruit has played the last few seasons for Hudson High School in Hudson, Wis. He is ranked as the No. 2 player in the state of Wisconsin by 247Sports and currently holds scholarship offers from Kansas, Iowa State, Army and Akron. In addition to his talents on the football field, McDonald is also a two-time USA Lacrosse All-American.

It will be interesting to see if the Badgers can persuade the talented three-star recruit to stay in the state as a walk-on, or if he will take a scholarship offer elsewhere.

Notre Dame offers PWO to local 2022 athlete

The Irish could have found a walk-on with talent

With scholarship’s restricted to 85 and many teams having to deal with super seniors after the COVID-19 season, preferred walk-ons on will help bridge the game for many schools. Typically these players have the opportunity to play at lower levels but take this opportunity to play for a school they would love to attend.

Mishawaka athlete Justin Fisher will get that chance as today Notre Dame offered the in-state player a spot on the team. The Irish were familiar with Fisher, he visited campus during the Georgia Tech game earlier this year. He has yet to announce his intentions, but it looks like it might be extremely hard for Fisher to turn down this opportunity.

Chris Brown, Miles Johnson and Weston Wallace are all class of 2020 preferred walk-on offensive lineman and will be linked together. Brown will have fight to earn playing time at Georgia. Georgia has an impressive class of 2020 offensive line group, so he’ll face some stout competition over the years.

Brown may not be the most heralded recruit or talented player, but every player on Georgia’s roster is important. The walk-ons help set the tone for the rest of the team. Additionally, the scout team is fundamental in preparing the defense and offense for the next week.

We’ll keep you updated throughout Brown’s career in Athens. Let’s look back to when he picked the University of Georgia:
