2 49ers preseason kickoff times known after Broncos release schedule

We know another 49ers preseason game time thanks to an opponent announcing its schedule:

The 49ers haven’t announced their preseason schedule yet, but thanks to announcements from their preseason opponents we now know two dates and times on their preseason slate.

The Denver Broncos on Wednesday announced their Week 2 preseason matchup with the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium will take place Aug. 19, with kickoff set for 5:30pm Pacific Time.

San Francisco will also host the Chargers in the final week of the preseason. That game is slated for 7:00pm on Aug. 25.

Now the only game unknown on San Francisco’s exhibition slate is their opener against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. The 49ers and Raiders will hold joint practices together prior to that matchup.

The Denver Broncos have finalized the dates and times for their three preseason games this summer.

The team’s updated preseason schedule can be seen below.

Week Date Opponent Time (MT) TV
1 Aug. 11 (Fri) @ Cardinals 8 p.m. KTVD
2 Aug. 19 (Sat) @ 49ers 6:30 p.m. KTVD
3 Aug. 26 (Sat) vs. Rams 7 p.m. KTVD

All three preseason games will be locally televised on KTVD Channel 20. The NFL will also broadcast select preseason games on NFL Network this summer, but NFLN’s finalized TV schedule for preseason is yet-to-be-announced.

After playing in Arizona and San Francisco, the Broncos will host the Rams in their preseason finale. Denver is expected to host Los Angeles for a joint training camp practice before that preseason game.

After preseason, the Broncos will have to trim the roster from 90 players down to 53 by Tuesday, Aug. 29. Denver will then prepare to host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Jaguars announce full 2023 preseason schedule

The Jaguars will kick off their preseason slate on Aug. 12.

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2023 campaign will get started on Aug. 12 with their first preseason game.

On Wednesday, the team announced the dates, times, and TV schedules for three preseason games:

  • Saturday, Aug. 12: Jaguars at Dallas Cowboys, 5 p.m. ET, FOX30
  • Saturday, Aug. 19: Jaguars at Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. ET, FOX30
  • Saturday, Aug. 26: Miami Dolphins at Jaguars, 7 p.m. ET, CBS47

Last season, the Jaguars played four preseason games as they were featured in the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Game. This year, it’ll be the second time ever that Jacksonville plays just three exhibition games ahead of the regular season.

With back-to-back road games in August — as well as joint practices scheduled with the Lions in Detroit — the Jaguars will spend a significant stretch away from Jacksonville in the middle of August. The Jaguars will, however, have eight home games at TIAA Bank Field during the regular season on top of a “home” game at Wembley Stadium in London.

[anyclip pubname=”2103″ widgetname=”0016M00002U0B1kQAF_M8036″]

Not long after the Raiders and the rest of the NFL put out their regular season schedules, the Raiders announced their three preseason matchups for this season.

Though specific dates, times, and viewing options are still To Be Determined, we now know who they will play and where.

Week 1: TBD vs San Francisco 49ers
Week 2: TBD at Los Angeles Rams
Week 3: TBD at Dallas Cowboys

In addition to their preseason home opener against the former Bay Area rival 49ers, the two teams will hold joint training camp practices in Las Vegas in the leadup to that game.

The following week, it’s a quick trip to LA to face their other former neighbors in the Rams.

Then it’s off to Dallas to face the Cowboys to wrap up their three-game preseason.

The regular season will open on September 10 in Denver.

Bucs 2023 preseason schedule has Tampa Bay hosting two AFC North teams

The Bucs will also play the New York Jets on the road.

[connatix div_id=”3f8b015acdd24c648befc5d5dac47469″ player_id=”afe1e038-d3c2-49c0-922d-6511a229f69c” cid=”7cbcea0d-4ce2-4c75-9a8d-fbe02a192c24″]

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason schedule is set, and it features the Bucs facing off against an AFC slate.

Two of those teams are from the AFC North, both of which the Bucs will host at Raymond James Stadium. Tampa Bay is set to face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers to kick off proceedings on Aug. 11 and will then host the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 26. The Bucs played both teams last year and lost both matchups.

The second game of the preseason run is perhaps the most interesting. Outside the AFC North matchups the Buccaneers are set to play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, where Todd Bowles will return as a head coach (for a different team this time). The team intends to have a joint practice with the Jets, but it seems as if the date for this matchup is unknown — Tampa Bay lists the game as happening anywhere from Aug. 17-20, indicating that the joint practice is likely still being set up.

The Bucs will play the Minnesota Vikings in the first game of the season once the preseason schedule is wrapped up.

Week Date Opponent Time
1 Aug. 11 vs Pittsburgh Steelers TBA
2 Aug. 17-20 at New York Jets TBA
3 Aug. 26 vs Baltimore Ravens TBA

Denver Broncos 2023 preseason schedule

The Broncos will host one preseason game this summer and play two other preseason games on the road.

In addition to having their 2023 regular season schedule announced on Thursday, the Denver Broncos also announced their preseason schedule.

The Broncos will play three preseason games this year, one at their home Empower Field at Mile Stadium and two on the road. Because the NFL has an unbalanced 17-game schedule and a three-game preseason schedule, the AFC and NFC rotate between hosting nine or eight regular-season home games each year.

This year, the AFC has the extra home regular season game, which means one less preseason home game. Denver had eight regular-season home games in 2022 and two home games in the preseason last summer.

Denver Broncos 2023 Preseason Schedule

Week Date Opponent Time (MT) TV

All three preseason games will be locally televised on KTVD Channel 20. The NFL will also broadcast select preseason games on NFL Network this summer, but the finalized TV schedule for preseason is yet-to-be-announced.

49ers, Raiders to hold joint practices before preseason matchup

The #49ers aren’t done with Jimmy Garoppolo *just* yet.

The 49ers aren’t done with Jimmy Garoppolo just yet. San Francisco and Garoppolo’s Raiders are planning to have joint practices before facing off this preseason according to Vic Tafur of the Athletic.

Joint practices are becoming more common and it makes sense for the 49ers to have theirs with Las Vegas since the travel is easy. Last year San Francisco went all the way to Minnesota for their joint sessions.

With only three preseason games, joint practices become even more valuable and 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has said he values the combined practices more than he does that week’s game.

Last year the 49ers didn’t play most of their starters against Minnesota following a week of practicing against them. It would stand to reason they exercise the same strategy in Vegas.

The Raiders and 49ers have been scheduled to see each other in two of the three preseasons since the silver and black moved to Sin City. Their 2020 exhibition matchup was cancelled due to COVID-19. They played against each other in 2021 at Levi’s Stadium, but in 2022 the annual preseason meeting was put on hold while they prepared to play against one another in the regular season.

No dates have been listed, but since the practices will happen in Vegas, we can safely assume the game will be played at Allegiant Stadium.

Denver Broncos football is back!

After wrapping up training camp on Thursday, the Denver Broncos will kickoff a three-game preseason schedule with a home opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday.

The Broncos will host a pair of preseason games this summer with one game played on the road. Here’s a look at the dates and times for Denver’s preseason games this month:

The league’s schedule-makers gave the Broncos five prime-time games in the regular season with seven total nationally-televised games. But wait, there’s more!

All three of Denver’s preseason games are set to be nationally televised on NFL Network this summer, the league announced Monday. So in addition to airing locally on KTVD Channel 20, the team’s preseason contests will also be made available across the country to every fan with NFLN.

Here’s a reminder of the Broncos’ preseason schedule:

  • Week 1: vs. Cowboys (Aug. 13, 7 p.m. MT)
  • Week 2: @ Bills (Aug. 20, 11 a.m. MT)
