5 Jaguars players to watch vs. Titans in Week 18

Which Jaguars players need to show up big tonight?

On paper, there’s no reason why the Jacksonville Jaguars shouldn’t roll to the AFC South title with an easy win Saturday night against the Tennessee Titans. But victories in the NFL rarely come without push back.

The Titans are on a six-game losing streak and lost starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill to the injured reserve, but they can pull out of that tailspin and earn the division title by upsetting the Jaguars in primetime.

For Jacksonville to avoid that massive disappointment, the team can’t take its Saturday night opportunity lightly.

Here are five Jaguars who need to play well against the Titans to ensure the AFC South title belongs to Duval:

4 Chiefs players to watch in Week 17 vs. Broncos

Keep an eye on these four players when the #Chiefs take on the #Broncos on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs (12-3) are set to play their final home game of the regular season against the Denver Broncos (4-11) in Week 17.

Denver is desperate to stop the bleeding against Kansas City, who is going for their fifteenth consecutive victory against the Broncos. It has been a tumultuous week in Denver with a number of coaching changes, which could lead to some personnel changes in this upcoming game. The Chiefs’ players will need to be at their absolute best and prepare for the unexpected under Broncos interim HC Jerry Rosburg.

Here’s a look at four players for Kansas City who we’ll be paying close attention to when they square off with the Broncos on Sunday:

5 Jaguars players to watch vs. Cowboys in Week 15

Which Jaguars players need to have big games Sunday to help spring the upset against the Cowboys?

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ playoff hopes are alive after a Week 14 win against the Tennessee Titans.

Standing in the way of the Jaguars increasing those chances are the 10-3 Dallas Cowboys, who are coming to Jacksonville for the first time in 16 years. While a loss wouldn’t completely end the Jaguars’ postseason dream, if it was coupled with a Titans win on Sunday, that’d just about do it.

So what do the Jaguars need to do to pull off the upset over one of the NFC’s top teams? It’d help if these five players showed up in a big way Sunday at TIAA Bank Field:

4 Chiefs players to watch in Week 15 vs. Texans

Keep an eye on these four players when the #Chiefs take on the #Texans on Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas City Chiefs (10-3) are on the road again, this time against the Houston Texans (1-11-1) in Week 15.

This is the first time the Chiefs have played the Texans since the 2020 NFL season and the first time they’ve played in Houston since 2017. After a disappointing performance in Week 14, where they let their opponent back into the game after leading 27-0, Kansas City will be looking to bounce back with a sharp performance.

4 Chiefs players to watch in Week 14 vs. Broncos

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to get back in the win column with an AFC West matchup against the Denver Broncos in Week 14.

Kansas City has been the winner in 13 consecutive matchups against Denver, including nine straight in the Patrick Mahomes era. The Broncos have very little to lose with a 3-9 record this season, so expect them to pull out all the stops to beat K.C. this week. Victory could allow a temporary reprieve for a frustrated fanbase and maybe save Nathaniel Hackett’s job for another week.

4 Chiefs players to watch in Week 13 vs. Bengals

The Kansas City Chiefs are kicking off their three-game road stretch with a big-time rematch against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13.

Kansas City is out for revenge after Cincinnati knocked them out in the AFC title game last season. Meanwhile, the Bengals are looking to make themselves 3-0 against the Chiefs over the past two seasons. Which players will perform well enough to secure a Week 13 victory?

4 Chiefs players to watch in Week 12 vs. Rams

Keep an eye on these four players when the #Chiefs take on the #Rams on Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas City Chiefs are back at Arrowhead Stadium facing the Los Angeles Rams before a three-game road stretch.

While their record might not reflect a championship-caliber team, there are plenty of members of this Los Angeles squad who just became Super Bowl champions a season ago. Kansas City will need some top-notch performances from some key players in order to come away with a win against this team.

LSU basketball vs. Illinois State: Stream, injury report, broadcast info for Cayman Islands Classic opener

The Tigers are heading to the Caribbean for the three-day tournament this week.

The Tigers are heading down to the Caribbean this week to participate in the Cayman Islands Classic in George Town, the islands’ capital city. LSU will play games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as part of the event, but first up is a matchup against the Illinois State Redbirds on Monday morning at 10 a.m. CT.

LSU enters at 3-0 to start the [autotag]Matt McMahon[/autotag] era having won 91-62 in the last outing against New Orleans after it struggled a bit in the first two games. ISU comes into this one at 2-2 on the season under first-year coach Ryan Pedon, a former assistant at Illinois, Butler and, most recently, Ohio State.

The Redbirds beat Eastern Illinois but lost to Western Illinois, and they split a pair of matchups against Northwestern State last week. After this matchup, LSU will take on either Akron or Western Kentucky at either 10 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday.

Here’s what you need to know to follow the opener from the Cayman Islands.

LSU will have to contend with elite UAB running back DeWayne McBride on Saturday

The Tigers will face the nation’s leader in rushing yards per game on Saturday night in Death Valley.

Saturday’s final home game of the season against UAB presents a much-needed tuneup as the Tigers have just gotten through a brutal stretch of SEC play. LSU is a heavy favorite against the 5-5 Blazers, but interim coach Bryant Vincent’s team will bring one standout player in particular to the table.

UAB boasts one of the nation’s best running backs in DeWayne McBride, who leads the nation in rushing yards per game (156.3). He ranks second nationally in total yards (1,407) and touchdowns (17), with the latter mark being a program record.

To make things even more impressive, he didn’t play in the season opener.

“They have one of the best running backs in the country in DeWayne McBride,” coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] said on Monday. “He has over 1,400 yards rushing. Very accomplished on offense.”

However, McBride has not been nearly as productive away from Birmingham, and he only has three touchdowns on the road this season. LSU will hope that trend continues this weekend on Senior Night.

After the game vs. UAB, LSU hits the road for the final game of the regular season against Texas A&M before it travels to Atlanta to take on Georgia in the SEC championship.

4 Chiefs players to watch in Week 10 vs. Jaguars

Keep an eye on these four players when the #Chiefs take on the #Jaguars on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs are playing their second consecutive home game against an AFC South opponent. This time they’ll get to match up against former Chiefs OC Doug Pederson and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10.

Jacksonville is coming off a come-from-behind win against the Las Vegas Raiders, while Kansas City is coming off a comeback victory against the Tennessee Titans. Each team will need strong performances from some key players if they’re to come out on top with another win this week.
