New York Knicks at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s New York Knicks at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The struggling New York Knicks (25-37) play the second game of their seven-game road trip Friday against the shorthanded Phoenix Suns (50-12). Tip-off from Footprint Center is 10 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Knicks vs. Suns odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Knicks have lost all three games since the All-Star break and have lost six in a row overall. They have just one win in their last 11 outings and are 3-16 in their last 19 games. They have only one road win since Jan. 15.

The Suns are the first team in the league to reach 50 wins and they hold a 7.5-game lead as the top seed in the Western Conference. They are 2-2 since the All-Star break and are playing without both G Chris Paul and G Devin Booker.

Booker is out under health and safety protocols and will return soon, while Paul was slated to miss six to eight weeks with a thumb injury suffered Feb. 16 and should be back before the playoffs begin.

Knicks at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 115, Knicks 103

Money line

The Knicks have only three wins in their last 19 games and only one road win since the middle of January.

The Suns have the best home record in the NBA this season at 27-7. They beat the Knicks 118-97 on the road Nov. 26.

Betting the Knicks for the upset isn’t wise, but betting the Suns on the money line alone isn’t enough value to be a good wager. PASS on the money line unless you include it in a parlay.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Knicks are 26-36 ATS this season overall and 13-17 ATS on the road and have only covered the spread once in their last 10 games. They have not covered the spread at all during their six-game skid.

The Suns are 2-2 ATS since the All-Star break and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games. They are only 16-18 ATS at home but are coming off a 120-90 win over the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday without Booker or Paul in the lineup.

Take the SUNS -6.5 (-120).

Over/Under

The Knicks are the fourth-lowest scoring team in the league with an average of 105.1 points per game. They have reached 110 only once in their last six games and that took overtime.

The Suns have scored 110 or more in eight of their last 10 games.

Will they score enough and can New York keep up?

I don’t think so.

Take UNDER 223.5 (-108).

Portland Trail Blazers at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Portland Trail Blazers at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Portland Trail Blazers (25-36) kick off a three-game road trip Wednesday when they face the Phoenix Suns (49-12). Tip-off is 10 p.m. ET at Footprint Center. Below, we look at the Trail Blazers vs. Suns odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Portland has lost two games in a row after closing out the first half of the season with four straight wins. Both losses were by more than 30 points.

The Suns still have the best record in the NBA but have lost two games in a row. They will be without G Chris Paul for the next six to eight weeks because of a thumb injury.

This is the fourth time the two teams have played this season. The Suns have won two of three games so far.

Trail Blazers at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 112, Trail Blazers 95

Money line

PASS on the money line.

Despite the Suns’ two straight losses, they should get Payne back into the lineup and that will move G Devin Booker back into an off-the-ball role and increase the pace of play. The Suns are tied for the most home wins in the league with 26, while the Blazers are 9-18 on the road have lost both games since the All-Star break by more than 30 points.

The Blazers are a bad bet on the road and the Suns are a bad value.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Blazers have been bad since coming back from the All-Star Break, losing by an average of 34.5 points in their last two games.

The Suns have dropped two straight games for only the third time this season and have failed to cover the spread in four of their last five games. They are 15-18 ATS at home this year, but the Blazers are only 10-17 ATS on the road.

Everything points to a Suns blowout. They are healthy minus Paul, and Payne will be in the lineup for the first time in more than a month.

They have the advantage at basically every position with so many Blazers starters out.

Take the SUNS -13.5 (-107).

Over/Under

The Blazers averaged 116.0 points in their four-game winning streak before the All-Star break, but aside from those four games, they have failed to score 100 points in six of their last seven.

The Suns have averaged 116.6 points in their last 10 games.

Take UNDER 227.5 (-115).

Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Two of the top Western Conference teams meet Sunday when the Phoenix Suns (49-11) host the Utah Jazz (37-22). Tip-off at Footprint Center is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Jazz vs. Suns odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Utah beat the Dallas Mavericks 114-109 at home Friday in its first game back from the All-Star break but failed to cover as a 5.5-point home favorite. The Jazz are 15-12 straight up (SU) and 13-13-1 against the spread (ATS) on the road.

Phoenix is 1-1 SU and ATS following the All-Star game after clobbering the  Thunder 124-104 Thursday in Oklahoma City then losing at home to the New Orleans Pelicans 117-102 Friday. The Suns are 26-6 SU at home but just 15-17 ATS.

The Suns are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS versus the Jazz since the beginning of last season, which includes two victories this season (1-1 ATS).

Jazz at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 119, Suns 108

Money line

BET the JAZZ (-105) for 1.5 units because these teams are pretty even when both are at full-strength but the absence of CP3 looms large for the Suns.

Both teams run a ton of pick-and-roll (PnR) action but Utah has the best offensive efficiency in PnR through ball handlers and both Phoenix’s offensive and defensive efficiency in the PnR suffers without CP3.

The Suns score 12.2 more half-court points per 100 plays when CP3 is on the floor, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG). Whereas the Jazz are first in half-court points per 100 plays, per CTG.

Utah also has the edge in several pivotal positional matchups over Phoenix. Jazz SG Donovan Mitchell is outscoring Suns Devin Booker 25.5-24.9 points per game (PPG) in their 11 career head-to-head meetings and outshooting him 46.2-43.4% from the field (47.0-35.1% on 3-pointers).

On top of that, Phoenix big Deandre Ayton is going to have a tough time getting quality looks against three-time Defensive Player of the Year in Utah big Rudy Gobert.

Gobert is outscoring Ayton 16.6-11.4 PPG, outshooting him 75.5-51.3% and outrebounding Ayton 13.1-8.6 in their seven career meetings.

The bottom line is I’m looking to fade the Suns without CP3 and getting the JAZZ (-105) at this price is a no-brainer.

Against the spread

PASS.

The Jazz +1.5 (-120) isn’t worth the insurance for our Utah ML wager. However, if the line goes to +2.5 or higher then I’d sprinkle on Utah’s ML while hammering the Jazz plus the points.

Over/Under

Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 226.5 (-110) for a tiny wager — if at all —  because I much prefer the Utah sides more than the total.

However, these teams have the top-two non-garbage time offensive ratings (per CTG), Utah is 4-2 O/U as a road underdog, Phoenix is 18-14 O/U as a home favorite and these teams have a combined 5-1 O/U in day games.

New Orleans Pelicans at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s New Orleans Pelicans at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Phoenix Suns (49-10) are back in action Friday when they host the New Orleans Pelicans (23-36). Tip-off will be at 9 p.m. ET from Footprint Center. Below, we look at the Pelicans vs. Suns odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

This will be the Pelicans’ first game since the All-Star break as they look to snap their current two-game losing skid. The Pels went into the break having lost four of their last five games after winning four straight from Feb. 1-8.

New Orleans has struggled from the field this season, making just 44.7% of its field goal attempts (25th in the NBA) and shooting 32.8% from deep (27th). The Pelicans are getting outscored 109.5-106.3 on average and will now face the highest-scoring offense in the NBA — although the Suns will be without PG Chris Paul after he injured his thumb.

The Suns crushed the Oklahoma City Thunder 124-104 Thursday as they padded the best record in basketball. Phoenix sits 6.5 games ahead of the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference.

Losing Paul to a thumb injury definitely hurts, but this Suns team is well-equipped to survive his absence thanks to SG Devin Booker, C Deandre Ayton and SF Mikal Bridges. Booker leads the team with 25.5 points per game, and Ayton is averaging a double-double with 16.2 points and 10.2 rebounds.

Pelicans at Suns odds, spread and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 2:36 p.m. ET.

Pelicans at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 117, Pelicans 108

Money line

This will be the Suns’ second game without Paul and while it’s obviously a blow to the team as a whole, they didn’t show any ill effects from his absence Thursday. They beat the Thunder by 20 points, with Booker, Bridges and PF Cameron Johnson all scoring at least 21 points each.

I like the SUNS (-260) to win this one but I’d much rather bet on them to cover the spread.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Suns have been quite good when it comes to covering the spread this season, going 33-26 ATS. They’re only 1-2 ATS in their last three, but if you zoom out a bit more, they’re 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games. The Pelicans are also 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games but they’ve failed to cover in four of their last five, including four games as underdogs.

The Suns are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against the Pelicans, a trend that I think will continue. Take the SUNS -6.5 (-105) to cover.

Over/Under

Not only have the Pelicans struggled on offense this season, but they have the ninth-worst defensive rating, and allow the eighth-highest field goal percentage to opponents.

I see the Suns having an efficient game offensively but the Pelicans won’t carry their weight and will struggle to push this total over the line. Bet the UNDER 229.5 (-108).

Phoenix Suns at Oklahoma City Thunder odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Phoenix Suns at Oklahoma City Thunder odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Phoenix Suns (48-10) travel to Paycom Center Thursday to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder (18-40). Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Suns vs. Thunder odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Suns entered the All-Star break with the league’s best record but may have headwinds in keeping it as All-Star G Chris Paul is set to be sidelined at least six weeks with a broken thumb. Paul is currently the league leader in assists per game (10.7).

The Suns rank fourth in points per game (113.7) and sixth in opponents’ points per game (105.5). They’re 32-26 against the spread (ATS) on the season and are 13-8 ATS as road favorites.

Thunder star G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander did not show up on the injury report despite that he missed weeks leading up to the All-Star break. The Thunder are the second-best covering team in the NBA at 35-19-4 ATS and are 14-8-4 as home underdogs.

The return of SGA will be helpful as OKC’s struggles have been offensive. The Thunder rank 30th in points per game (101.2), field goal percentage (41.8) and three-point field goal percentage (31.3).

Suns at Thunder odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 106, Thunder 100

Money line

PASS.

The Suns are the better teams in the league even with Paul sidelined but a -700 tag is too rich for a regular-season favorite. While the Thunder are better at home they still aren’t playable against Phoenix at +470, although I do expect them to keep it close.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the THUNDER +10.5 (-110).

The Suns are going to re-learn what life before Paul was like. C Deandre Ayton, F Cameron Johnson and F Jae Crowder are going to have to turn into playmakers to help G Devin Booker handle the scoring load.

The Suns’ scoring should take a hit though with Payne still sidelined as well. Similarly, the Thunder will have the second-best scorer (SGA) back on the court alongside standout rookie G Josh Giddey.

The Thunder have the eighth-ranked defensive rating in the NBA, and that’s going to help keep this game close.

The Thunder also have a league-worst 102 offensive rating, but that jumps to 104.5 when SGA is on the court. His return will make all the difference and should help the Thunder immensely.

Over/Under

BET on the UNDER 218.5 (-112).

While SGA should help the Thunder offense, there still isn’t much playmaking there, and Dort being sidelined certainly doesn’t help their cause. As for Phoenix, figuring out life without Paul may be easier said than done.

Paul hasn’t missed a game this season but did miss two key playoffs games against the Los Angeles Clippers last season in which the Suns scored 120 and 104, the former of which they shot 55% from the field.

The Thunder have been more prone to miss the total and have gone 24-33-1 O/U on the season and 12-14 O/U as home underdogs, while the Suns are just 28-29-1 O/U this season.

Houston Rockets at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Houston Rockets at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Houston Rockets (15-41) are on the road to face the Phoenix Suns (47-10) Wednesday night. It is the Rockets’ second-to-last game before the All-Star break and the Suns’ last game before it. Tip-off is 9 p.m. ET at Footprint Center. Below, we look at the Rockets vs. Suns odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Rockets have lost five games in a row and nine of their last 10 contests. They are in last place in the Western Conference. They are 7-26 against teams in the West and have been equally bad at home and on the road. They have eight home wins and seven road wins.

The Suns continue to have the best record in the NBA and sit in first place in the West with a 5.5-game lead. They are playing for the second night in a row after a 103-96 home win over the Los Angeles Clippers. They have won six straight games and 17 of their last 18.

Rockets at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 124, Rockets 105

Money line

PASS on the money line. The Rockets have been playing too poorly recently, and on the road in general, to make them a smart bet against the best team in the league, even with a big potential payout.

And it doesn’t make any sense to bet 20 times what your payout could be on the Suns.

Against the spread

The Rockets have failed to cover the spread in five straight games. They have covered the spread in only one of their last eight losses. They lost twice to the Suns already this season by 12 and by 26 points. They have allowed over 130 points in three of their last five games.

They are 22-33-1 ATS overall and 14-15 ATS on the road.

The Suns failed to cover the spread in their 103-96 win Tuesday night over the Clippers. However, their two wins before that were by 27 and 24 points, respectively.

Phoenix is 15-15 ATS at home this season.

Expect them to play like they did against the Orlando Magic in their 132-105 win.

Take the SUNS -15.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Over has hit in six of the Rockets’ last 10 games.

The Suns’ game Tuesday stayed Under the projected total, but seven of their last 10 games have gone Over.

They have scored 127 or more in three of their last five games. The Rockets have allowed more than 130 in three of their last five.

The Suns will score a lot tonight. The question is whether the Rockets will score enough to help the total.

Anticipating the Suns to cover the large spread, it will be tough for the Rockets to score enough to push the total high enough.

Take UNDER 233.5 (-108).

Clippers at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 121, Clippers 107

Money line

PASS on the money line.

The Clippers picked up an upset win at home over a shorthanded Warriors team that is starting to scuffle a bit, but the Suns are playing too well to predict a Clippers win despite the large potential payout.

The Suns are the hottest team in basketball and are fully healthy. They have scored over 130 in consecutive games, including a 131-107 drubbing of the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks Thursday. However, a bet on the Suns isn’t worth it as you have to wager 11 times your potential return.

Against the spread

The Clippers have covered the spread in consecutive games following a five-game ATS losing skid. L.A. is 28-31 ATS overall and 15-14 ATS on the road.

The Suns have covered the spread in three straight games and are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games. Phoenix is 32-24 ATS overall but 15-14 ATS at home.

The home team covered in both games between the two teams this season and were decided by at least 16 points.

Take the SUNS -12.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Neither game this season between the Suns and Clippers had more than 206 total points. However, the Suns have scored over 130 points in two straight games and are averaging 118.4 points per game in their last 16.

The Clippers have scored 109 or more points in nine of their last 11 games.

Take OVER 222.5 (-110).

Milwaukee Bucks at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Milwaukee Bucks (35-21) visit the Phoenix Suns (44-10) in a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals. Tip-off at Footprint Center is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bucks at Suns odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Milwaukee is on a four-game winning streak and has scored at least 131 points in each of its last three outings. The Bucks are 5-1 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) over the past two weeks.

Phoenix has won 14 of its last 15 including three straight road games at the Washington Wizards (95-80 Saturday), Chicago Bulls (127-124 Monday) and the Philadelphia 76ers (114-109 Tuesday).

The Bucks beat the Suns in last season’s NBA Finals 4-2 SU and ATS. But, Phoenix was 2-0 SU and ATS versus Milwaukee last regular season.

Bucks at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 118, Suns 113

Money line

SPRINKLE on the BUCKS (+130) with the plan of hitting their spread harder.

Phoenix is playing better this season; the Suns are tied for first in net rating. However, Milwaukee is playing better entering this game and F Giannis Antetokounmpo might be playing the best basketball of his career.

The Bucks have a higher non-garbage time net rating and ATS margin than the Suns over the past two weeks, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

Giannis is averaging 33.5 points on 76.3% true shooting (.676/.533/.756) with 12.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists and a plus-53.0 net rating (158 offensive rating) in four games in February.

Giannis also averaged 35.2 points on 61.8% shooting with 13.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists in last season’s Bucks-Suns six-game NBA Finals,

Again, if it’s either-or, take Milwaukee plus the points but I’m SPRINKLING a tiny wager on the BUCKS (+130).

Against the spread

Definitely BET the BUCKS +3.5 (-112) heavier than or instead of their money line because of the aforementioned logic and since Milwaukee’s spread is the sharper play.

The Bucks are 6-3 ATS on the road versus teams above-.500 while the Suns are 3-7 ATS at home versus teams above-.500.

For the record, the BUCKS +3.5 (-112) is my favorite wager in this game.

Over/Under

PASS.

Both teams play at a top-10 pace and are in the top-seven of effective field goal shooting so that’s why I’m staying away from the Under 233.5 (-115).

However, I cannot fully endorse an Over 233.5 (-107) wager because a vast majority of the market is also on the Over and I hate following a crowd of people in sports betting. Plus I’m just more comfortable with the Milwaukee side here.

Phoenix Suns at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday’s Phoenix Suns at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 1 seed in Western Conference and the No. 2 team in the Eastern Conference face one another Monday night. The Phoenix Suns (42-10) are on the road to face the Chicago Bulls (33-20). Tip-off is at 8 p.m. ET at United Center. Below, we look at the Suns vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Suns are playing the third game of their four-game road trip. They lost the opener, which snapped an 11-game winning streak, but bounced back with a 95-80 win over the Washington Wizards Saturday. They have only lost twice since the start of 2022.

The Bulls are playing for the second night in a row. They lost, 119-108, at home to the Philadelphia 76ers Sunday. They are 5-3 in their last eight games.

Suns at Bulls odds, spread and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 7:30 a.m. ET.

Suns at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 114, Bulls 107

Money line

The Suns enter Monday night with the league’s best road record at 20-5, but the Bulls are much better at home than on the road. They are 19-9 at United Center, which is the best home record in the Eastern Conference.

The Suns have won nine of their last 10 road games and have won three straight matchups over the Bulls.

It’s chalky, but I LEAN SUNS (-270).

Against the spread

The Suns have covered the spread in six of their last 10 games. They are 16-9 ATS on the road. In each of their last six road wins, they have won by at least eight points.

The Bulls are 17-9 ATS in their home arena. They have covered the spread in five of their last 10 games.

Like with the spread, this is a lean. I LEAN SUNS -6.5 (-108).

Over/Under

The Suns are 23-28-1 this season overall, but they play more low-scoring games on the road. They are 8-16 O/U on the road this season.

The Bulls have scored 120 or more in five of their last six games and have allowed 115 or more points in six straight.

The Suns have held five of their last 10 road opponents to under 100 points and eight of their last 10 to 108 or fewer.

Take UNDER 228.5 (-110).

Phoenix Suns at Washington Wizards odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Phoenix Suns at Washington Wizards odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Phoenix Suns (41-10) continue their four-game road trip through the Eastern Conference when they face the Washington Wizards (24-27) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena. Below, we look at the Suns vs. Wizards odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Suns opened their road trip with a 124-115 loss to the Atlanta Hawks Thursday. That defeat snapped an 11-game win streak and was only their second loss since the start of 2022.

The Wizards snapped a six-game losing skid with a 106-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday.

Suns at Wizards odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 115, Wizards 103

Money line

PASS on the money line.

The Wizards are missing their top player while the Suns, aside from missing Payne, are as healthy as they can be. Phoenix has the league’s best road record at 19-5 and has not lost consecutive games since December 25-27. The Suns also have not lost two consecutive road games since dropping games to the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers Dec. 3 and Dec. 13.

It still isn’t worth betting nearly five times your potential return, and you can get better values from the spread and the total.

Against the spread

The Suns are 28-23 ATS overall this season and 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games. They perform well against the spread on the road, where they are 15-9 ATS.

The Wizards are 20-30-1 ATS on the season but 12-13 ATS at home. They have covered the spread only twice in their last 10 games.

They have G Kyle Kuzma stepping up in Beal’s absence, but a healthy Suns team is too deep for the Wizards to handle. G Devin Booker is averaging 32.0 points per game in his last 11 contests.

Take the SUNS -8.5 (-115).

Over/Under

Three of the last four games for the Suns have hit the Over but the Wizards have had six of their last eight games stay Under the projected total.

The Suns are 8-15-1 O/U on the road this season.

The Wizards have averaged only 101 points in their last six games.

Take UNDER 218.5 (-107).
